Chapter 216 Why Bother to Save Her
Without hesitation, Ivy said, "Bring the old lady with us. If there's a landslide on the back mountain, she will be in danger."
"But we have no more seats on the plane." James looked very embarrassed, as if he was the one responsible for preparing the plane.
"We could squeeze in a little. Who says we have to fill exactly the number of seats available?" Ivy rolled up her sleeves. "Tell me where the back mountain is. I'll go get the old lady!"
Maria grabbed Ivy. "Ivy, you can't leave! It's dangerous outside. You have to stay with the children!"
"Then... Who will go?"
Ivy didn't want to leave the children either, but she couldn't ask someone else to do it because it was also a dangerous task to go to the back mountain to rescue the old lady.
If she hadn't heard about the old lady, it would've been easier for her, but since she knew about it, she couldn't simply turn a blind eye. If something really happened to the old lady, Ivy would feel guilty for the rest of her life.
Although she had never met this old lady and didn't have any emotions attached to her, it was a human life at stake.
"I'll go!" Alexander stepped out of the trees. "Ivy, you watch the children and don't let them run around. I'll be back soon."
In Ivy's eyes, Alexander's move was very heroic, and her attitude towards him improved instantly.
"Be careful and stay safe."
Hearing Ivy's concern, Alexander smiled brightly. "Don't worry, I'll be back soon!"
He pointed to the short employee and said, "Come with me. I don't know the way."
"OK!" the short employee happily went with him.
Watching the backs of Alexander and the short employee, Ivy was moved. Apparently, Alexander was a kind-hearted person.
"Mommy, what if something happens to Daddy? I'm worried about him..."
Suddenly said Mollien, drawing everyone's attention.
Maria quickly scolded her, "You ignorant little girl, why are you talking nonsense? Knock on wood quickly!"
Mollien had never seen Maria angry at her and shed tears as she knocked on wood.
"But I'm also worried. I'm flustered..." Molly covered her heart and said.
Hana followed up and said, "Me too, I feel very uncomfortable, as uncomfortable as motion sickness..."
"Mommy, I'm not feeling well either. I've been feeling sick since Daddy left," Alice said listlessly.
"I'm not feeling well either..." Susan said in a weak voice.
"I... I want to throw up!" Rowling's face was flushed, and she really felt nauseous as she spoke.
What was going on? Ivy frowned.
Since they were born, the children had never had such symptoms before!
"Are the children... Scared by what happened earlier?" Maria asked Ivy with concern.
Ivy crouched down among the children, touched each child's forehead and stomach, treated them with Magic Pearl, and then gathered them together.
She whispered, "Next time you feel unwell, use your own Magic Pearl to regulate your body. As people with Magic Pearl, we won't have any problems."
"But Daddy doesn't have it..."
Molly's words left Ivy speechless.
The children were so worried about Alexander and had physical reactions. Was it a premonition of danger approaching or were they just too worried about their Daddy?
It was true that daughters were closer to their father!
After waiting for a long ten minutes, Alexander and the short employee still hadn't returned, and everyone couldn't help but worry.
Ivy asked James, "How far is it from here to the back mountain?"
"0.6 miles away, and they have to climb up the hill," James spoke in an unpleasant tone.
Just thinking about how Alexander and the short employee hadn't come back for so long, he couldn't help but complain.
"That old lady is a demented elderly person of no family, who can barely make ends meet. She should have died long ago. Dying early is a relief. Why bother to save her? If you save her, you have to support her!"
