Chapter 723 So It Turns Out
The Merits of a Divine Doctor
The journalists discussed among themselves and quickly believed in the idea of time travel, considering it a major news story. They cast aside Alexander and went straight to interview Beckett Ashford and Jaxon Ashford.
"Mr. Beckett Ashford, may I ask how you initially traveled to that time and what the time tunnel looked like? Can you describe it for us?"
Beckett Ashford glared at Alexander and thought, "What's all this talk about time travel?" How could he describe a time tunnel when he had no idea what it looked like?
A sudden idea flashed through his mind, and he spoke into the microphone, "Twenty years ago, I was poisoned to death by Fiona and crossed over after being buried. I was in a coma the whole time, so I have no idea what the time tunnel looked like or even if I really traveled through it. Anyway, now I've come back alive and well."
Since Beckett Ashford didn't know, the journalists refrained from asking further and turned to interview Jaxon Ashford.
"Mr. Jaxon Ashford, could you describe the appearance of the time tunnel for us?"
Jaxon Ashford cleared his throat and said, "Twenty years ago, my wife, brother, and his family were all in the same car when we had an accident. The car suddenly exploded, and all six of us lost consciousness simultaneously. We didn't have any idea how we crossed over or see any so-called time tunnel."
A journalist asked, "But how did you come back? Didn't you see the time tunnel when you returned?"
Jaxon Ashford replied, "We were just sitting together as a family, having a meal, and suddenly the lights went out. That's when we collectively returned to this world."
"..."
"This is so mysterious!" a journalist couldn't accept it and continued, "How do people live in the other timeline? What's the difference between that place and here?"
Jaxon Ashford answered, "There is no difference; it's the same as here."
"The same? How is that possible?"
"I think time moves backwards over there, otherwise you wouldn't be getting younger as you live."
"May I ask, what era is it over there? What is the fashion like?"
"They are either more advanced than us or more backward..."
The journalists competed to ask questions, overwhelming Jaxon Ashford. He couldn't help but roll his eyes at Alexander, thinking, "What's with all this talk about time travel?"
Alexander nudged Owen Ashford and whispered, "Bro, explain to the journalists how Grandpa and the others were resurrected and give them a more realistic explanation."
Scratching his head, Owen Ashford said, "You want me to explain? I think the idea of time travel is quite realistic. After all, there are many movies and TV shows featuring time travel plots, aren't there?"
Owen continued, "If that doesn't work, just be honest with the journalists and tell them the truth. Say that you guys went to the underworld of the Yin Dynasty at night and snatched Grandpa away from the King of Hell..."
"..."
Fine, this big brother of mine.
"I've given up hope."
"In the end, we can only rely on ourselves!"
With the thought of Ivy being the chief physician at the Missouri clinic, Alexander suddenly had a new idea.
"Dear journalists, don't dwell on the topic of time travel. I was just joking with you. There are no time tunnels in this world; those are all plotlines from novels."
"The truth is, twenty years ago, after my grandfather, father, mother, second uncle, second aunt, and younger siblings passed away, they were not truly buried. Their bodies were preserved in cryogenic chambers, waiting for this day."
"At that time, all I wanted was to bring my deceased loved ones back to life. But the medical technology back then was so undeveloped that there was no way to revive them. I believed that in the near future, medical science would make significant progress. That's why I stored the bodies of my deceased relatives in cryogenic chambers, waiting for advancements in medicine."
"Do you remember the recently concluded eating contest? There was a special reward – anyone who won would have the opportunity to meet the legendary doctor. This doctor can cure all sorts of difficult illnesses and even bring people back to life."
"My wife's pet snake won the contest, and so did our children. As a result, we earned the chance to meet the legendary doctor. It's that simple."
The journalists suddenly realized.
"So, everything is thanks to the legendary doctor!"
"May we ask, what is the doctor's name, where do they live?"
"Are they male or female? How old are they?"
Here they come again!
After thinking for a moment, Alexander decided to dodge the question while promoting the Missouri clinic.
"That doctor works at the Missouri clinic, but I don't know the specifics. You should interview the director of the Missouri clinic for more information!"
