Waking up, being yanked out of my cave. growling jumping up ready to fight. But I come face to face with john who is laughing so hard he's bent over. “not very alpha-like I was able to sneak up on you.” “Hey man, that's the best sleep I have had in weeks. Your the only one who knows where this is so I was safe.” patting my back he gives me a look that tells me he understands. Then I see it bright red still healing. “you found her?” he smiles brightly puffing our his chest “I did shes great. She thought I would reject her due to her being an omega and I’m a beta.” confused “why would she think that?” “one word” “Hannah. Always a problem. Please tell me she didn’t do anything stupid. Or please please ill pay you a million dollars if you tell me she found her mate?” I say stopping our walking dead “do I get the money even if it's a lie. Cause if so I will lie my ass off.” flipping him off I head to the packhouse.
All I can hear is his laughing, all the way back to the packhouse. Growling as I storm through the door. Three small she-wolves, and four males all lower their heads shaking in fear as I come through the door. Stopping short I kick myself. How could I forget that one of them is John's mate? she would be waiting here for him and any new mates would be too. “sorry sorry please I didn’t mean to startle you I was talking with my beta that didn’t go as well as I had hoped. So let's try this again. Greetings I’m alpha William Samuels. And you are?” they all smile put then push the smallest she-wolves forward. “alpha I am amber Tomas I am mated to Johnathan black.” “pleasure to meet you future beta female.” a smile so bright spreads across her face and I know John is behind me. Coming around me took her in his arms. “I see you met my amber. Isn't she perfect?” pain stabs through my heart seeing how happy he is looking at his mate. He still has no clue about mine. Smiling I nod at him. “I welcome you all here to the pack we will have you joining tomorrow night so please get settled. There is supper being saved for you all in the dining room. I look forward to getting to know and working with you all.” with that I left them all in the entranceway and headed to my office.
Clutching my chest as I make it through my door I feel the tears trying to fall from my eyes. before I can shut the door john is behind me. “what was that you have never been so short with new members before. the whole you usually do you give me your trust I give you mine. Blah blah blah don’t think I won't use punishments on those who deserve them.” I’m sure he would have continued had he not walked in front of me and noticed the pain it may face and the tears now running down my cheeks. “oh goddess whats wrong? Do you need a doctor ill go?” shaking my head I make my way to the couch. Dropping down into a messy lump. “while you were away I found my mate.” stopping to take a breath “oh my goddess man why didn’t you tell me where is she? Did she reject you? What a stupid girl if she did.” I see anger filling his eyes. Shaking my head I finish “but I lost her at the same time. There was a rogue attack she was fighting with them. I found her at the same time Kim's claws entered her chest.” pain rolled over me once again as the image flashed in my eyes. John drops to his knees in front of me I’m sure feeling the pain from knowing he lost his Luna. Pulling me into a hug I let myself become a mess there on the floor in my office. Soon wade and Kyle come in. Kyle is confused as to why I’m a pile of tears and snot.
Wade knowing the whole story as he was there and witnessed it filled them both in on the fight, along with everything that we have found out. Once he to the missing pack members from our pack and others john and Kyle start talking about plans to head to other packs for first-hand accounts of the events. They are just as motivated to find out who is responsible for the death of their Luna. Tomorrow night we will have a packed supper I will tell the members that were not here and the new ones of the attack and loss of the Luna. Then I will welcome the new members. Kyle has all the transfer paperwork in hand. We wolves sure do like paperwork I’m telling you. Sometimes I wonder if we will one day keep track of toilet paper as well. “based on the amount we used last month and the projections for a small seasonal allergy along with cold and flu season we need to increase the amount we order by 3 times.” ya nope not happening. Paperwork on our members though is a must. This helps keep track of how many are in the pack. Along with vital information. Blood type allergies are all the good things in case of emergencies. Also former pack and parents information for various reasons.
“will you go try and rest some more I will enter the data into the logs and make sure that everyone knows to be at supper tomorrow. “ nodding at him I head back to my room on the alpha floor. I notice the twins sitting in the living room area talking quietly “what are you two plotting now?” “nothing big brother,” they say in their overly sweet voice. Shaking my head I don’t have it in me to deal with whatever wade got himself into. Poor guy is in for a rough life. Two mates and both evil.
