Pulling through a small town following the other vans. It's a small village type one you know everyone feels. Through the window, I smell the air. Many different species and races here. The more I learn about alpha William to more I respect him and his pock. A lot of packs believe in keeping the bloodlines pure. So they don’t allow cross-species mating. The more I see of the town and pack the more I fall in love with it. The more it will hurt if the gamma is not my mate. Jackson let me know through the walkie-talkie that we are ten minutes out.
All the way to the packhouse I am confused as I didn’t see many houses along with the town. I have not seen one along this drive. Does the pack all live in one house? How big is this place? Well, not as big as I thought. Pulling up to a two-story single-family log cabin style home. A wrap-around porch with alpha William? How I just left him at the hill pack? A she-wolf sitting in a chair close to the alpha a small bundle in her arms. And a god. A tall blonde mountain of a wolf is standing next to the she-wolf. To close for my liking. Who is she to him? Shaking my head “get a grip” I scold myself.
Pulling up we stop the vans and turn them off. Everyone is hopping out and going to great the alpha. I need a few minutes to gather myself. Going to the back of the van to help get things unloaded. The wind changes in a sharp burst pushing me forward a little. I stumbled forward when one of the young male wolves caught me and helped me stand. A loud growl is heard. One that was meant to intimidate and instill fear only sent shivers of pleasure down my spine. “mine” a husky huffing voice whispers in my ear from behind. Spinning me around without another word his lips are on mine pinning me to the van. I can't keep the moan from my throat as his lips cover mine and his tongue tastes to mine. If it had not been for the ewwwwe’s and grosses coming from pups all around it might have gotten a little riskier. A sweet giggle is heard looking up I see it's the she-wolf that's now standing next to the alpha.
The alpha gives his speech and welcomes the wolves to the pack. Finishing with introducing the Luna Allison and the future alpha Philip. I will have to ask him later how he got here before me. I see Breena heading up the stairs talking to him and laughing. that's when my mate finally speaks “what's your name mate?” I giggle. I giggled oh kill me now. “Amara,” I tell him he stumbles out his name. Then hearing the alpha talk about rooms I got confused. “where are all the houses? Where does everyone live?” looking confused he points to the small house in front of me. Looking back and forth “how?” looking at me confused he said. “it's a wolves den house. It was built this way to keep us hidden from the town before. Draws less attention to the area as well. It built down.” looking around I see a small clinic style building following my line of sight “the clinic with pups always getting hurt and well us to we needed a clinic the old doctors wanted it above ground for the sun and air better for healing.” everything he said made sense as to why it was done. I have never heard of a packhouse like this before. Now that I think of it it does make for a better defensive strategy. But then my warrior's mind kicks in and I think this could be horrible they would all be trapped and cooked alive should their enemies learn of the packhouse. A deep chuckle is coming from the wolf in front of me. The sound damping my panties. “down girl people are around” I yell at myself. “after I mark and mate you and you join the pack ill show you the secrets of the packhouse.” he says against my lips. To be honest it took me way too long to get what he said. My only thoughts were those of his lips on mine,
“NO!” “ouch.” Kyle hopes back looking down at an angry William. I couldn’t stop the laugh from leaving my lips. “oh my goddess I am so so sorry. William, you get back here right now.” Edrya cries out. “it's the okay little man he's not hurting me.” stooping down to William's level. “you're going to make a great warrior one day.” kissing his forehead. Looking up at Kyle “William this is my mate Kyle. Kyle this is my personal guard William.” the pure joy coming from William's face lights up with pride. “so I have you to thank for keeping my girl safe. It's an honor to meet you, William.” Kyle bows to him making him giggle.
We finish unloading the vans and a few warriors came to take them away followed by a truck to bring them back. Looking over at the alpha I am still confused so I ask “how did alpha William get here so fast?” “would you believe me if I said I have no clue?” he asked and I nod. “I am learning to believe in the unbelievable these days. Is there a room close to the one I will be given free?” his eyes shooting to mine “you will be staying with me. And why?” swallowing at his dominant tone. “I wanted to keep Edrya and William close by me.” I stumble over my words. Trying to control my arousal. “there is a guest room next to my suite but not very big though.” I can see him looking at the young pup deep in thought “there is a bigger guest room in my suite though along with a den that can be turned into a room fit for a young warrior.” shocked at what he said but happy he did. I know that's the moment I fell in love with him.
