Philip pov
Rushing to the border where Apollo will be I try and gather myself for this encounter. I had hoped to have more time to deal with this worthless alpha. As it stands I soon will be his alpha with that thought an extra sense of I am better than him rises in me. I need to keep my head about me when I demand he gives me his sister as she is my mate. And I plan to take the head of the witch that planned to take what is mine.
As I get closer things freeze even I am stuck in a half step only thing still moving in my mind is what is going on. Just as I start to panic about this turn of events Ambrose's voice fills my head. Listen to the alpha of alpha’s don’t talk just listen to him. When he finishes turns and walks away he won't cross the border just listen for once don’t act. Just as fast as the freeze and his voice came it left just as fast. Okay, old man once I will listen well maybe. Slowing to a half jog the remaining few miles. Shifting before I reach the border grabbing some shorts that are in a small trunk hidden in a tree. Breaking through the treeline finding the edge of our border and the road leading away. Seeing only Apollo and Jacob standing there. My sense perks up finding them alone. Crossing my arms I wait for them to speak.
“alpha Philip I am here to request you return my sister to me so she can complete the mating with Jacob so he can ascend to my beta. I will give you three days to return her.” alpha of alphas Apollo glares at me. Now I am confused why he thinks I have his sister my rightful mate not that witches.
Wanting to say something Ambrose told me just to listen to them so without a word I turned and left. Pissed now as I am so confused. I feel a hot burning in my back soon it covers all of me. My knees threaten to buckle but I am an alpha damn it they can't break me. Soon a loud growl comes from behind me “where is she mutt?” I shrug my shoulder and keep walking away giving them my back. Taking deep breaths as I walk I know I could take Apollo alone but he still had friends and allies along with witches on his side. I need to be smart and I need him to think I don’t care about him. I don’t fear him as the bonds between our packs broke. I have a wicked thought something in me pushing me to do it.
Spinning I look him straight in the eye. “well if your man enough to cross my border and search my lands cross now if now leave and never return.” my alpha aura and tone slipping out as I speak to him. What I had not expected was to see him and his witch flinch at my works and the pain on their faces. Without a word, they both spin and start to walk away turning Jacob sneering “I will have what mine I promise that.” before a mist takes both of them away.
After about twenty feet into the woods, I smell Ambrose “what was that? Its time for you to come clean?” I growl at him. He chuckles before he starts as we walk back to the pack. “where shall I start young alpha?” Ambrose, the ever try to avoid shit master so I wait and stay silent he's not worming his way out this time. With a huff, he looks over “fine ill tell you what I can and nothing more.” I nod crossing my arms as I stop. Looking around he waves his hand and a small seating area with coffee appears. “shall we?” he says as he sits taking a mug in his hand. Glaring at him I take a seat not being able to stop my caffeine addiction I grab the hot mug.
“Okay, I will let you know first princess Artemis is safe and closer to you than ever. There is something wrong with her wolf. When she manifested yesterday the alpha of alphas was alerted along with his witch. There is something up with the witches working with the winters and the only one with answers is your mate. I have her close to you as I need your wolf close calling to hers. She's blocked from everyone no one can track her or find her without the aid of myself. I will be trying to find out what has her wolf locked away. As far as I could see into her it's not a choice she or her wolf made. It's as though someone is trying to harness her wolf. Then when you and young Tyler told me about your experience at the winter compound shall we call it. I knew something is going on there. I have been looking through and the last time a set of twin winters was born was over 100 years ago. I also found it was Diana who was born first not Apollo. The last beta line was started by Diana, not Apollo.” stopping letting me think over what he said. Still confused I let him continue. “so the more I looked into it turns out there is a reason the twins are important to the ruling family. Artemis is the virgin goddess. So where better to have all the power of the gods and goddess and the ruling pack than in a wolf that has no choice but to stay pure.” he stops and sips his coffee.
“what does this mean?” I ask “I have no clue yet but something is off and I can't figure it out if she's always trying to run away so I locked her away. So now I can try and figure out the issue. You get the added peace of mind to know that witch cant get his hands on her. When I am done she will accept you I have a feeling. Whatever has her wolf twisted and locked away is what is blocking her from accepting you. I can feel her soul and wolf want to accept you her mind is still twisted and confused.” taking the last gulp of my coffee I nod. Standing I attempt to link Ty.
