Chapter 11
It's been a quiet the last month. My warriors who traveled to the other packs reported only two would need help or wanted help with extra training. So Kyle sent a team to both to help out. The twins are driving me crazy I had to ban them from all of the training classes wade was teaching. Poor guy couldn’t get away from them, and every time he talked to a she-wolf they would cause a problem. Wade could not teach with them around. Since then during the day they now have taken to sitting in my office doing their best to push my buttons so I will give into them.
When my beta walked in I was struck with an idea. “beta is you and amber free tonight?” cocking his head at me giving me a what the hell man look. I just stare at him waiting for an answer. When he didn’t answer right away I lifted my eyebrow at him. “not that I am aware of alpha.” he says now I get what he's all, what the cats tongue are you doing. “good then you both can join me for dinner in my rooms?” I may have worded it in a question but it was far from a question and I was daring him to test me. “oh um well” he starts my eyes closing to glare at him. Laying my hands down on my desk to help push me up to stand. “I mean well you see” he stumbles over his words as I start to rise. “so well I think that would be a great idea. What time?” he smirks at me. The twins start to giggle his head snapping to them. He didn’t know they were here so his face just now was worth him being an ass.
“well, that depends on when the twins will have their famous noodle thing, that we love, will be done,” I say looking over to them. Their face goes from glaring at me to evil smiles spread over their faces “well that depends who all will be there “noodles of the two” is only made for a full house no less than six people would have to be there for us to make it. John not knowing the issues going on with the twins and wade pipes up with “well then have Kyle and wade come as well would be good for us all to spend time together.” “okay then suppers at five and we will go tell Kyle and wade to be there byeeee.” as they run from the room.
“what?” john says looking at the door. “I have never seen them so excited about you making them cook a surprise dinner ever,” he says scratching the back of his neck. “I can guarantee that they were not excited about what I said it was all about something you said.” I chuckle knowing he's about 2 seconds away from saying something stupid. 2..1.” they do know Kyle's gay right?” damn where was someone I could make a bet with when you needed one. I say nothing just stare at him. I think he's forgotten that the girls were the ones that outed him a few years ago. Thinking about that had me chuckling. “what?” he asks.
“First I’m going to tell you a short story.” he nods and sits down. “four years ago we had just come home for Christmas. The girls were being annoying as all hell. Kyle had finally convinced his father to let wade start training with them all a year early. Wade hates being a year younger than us so would be a year behind. Kyle made it his mission to make sure that didn’t happen. So that night at dinner Kyle used that opportunity to bring up to his father with yours sitting there. ‘so father I think it would be beneficial if you made an exemption for wade white to join the training a year early. I mean if his father plans to step down at the same time as you and the alpha. Then wade would still be a year behind in the training program. But if he starts now with the rest of us he would be finished with the training at the same time we are.” he says looking at everyone at the table while talking. I think his eyes stayed on wade just a second longer than everyone else or the twins saw something like that. Anyway, father smiled brightly at the smarts of the future gamma “smart thinking from our future gamma.” he smiles at Kyle. I swear if Kyle's father's face could have gotten reader it would have. Gamma tanner had planned to make wade wait. Why you might ask after all it wasn’t just Kyle that wanted wade to start training early it was mine. I had brought it up to wade one night saying I wish he could start the program with us in the fall. That way we would all finish at the same time. That maybe we could talk to the gamma for him. Because why you might ask. Oh, that's simply the gamma hates wade. Well, why would he hate wade? That my friend I didn’t know until recently. Gamma tanner had met his mate at a football game at another school. We all know the story he was on the field she showed up late sitting close to the field the wind shifted and carried her scent onto the field. In the middle of the play, he smelled her and he chased the scent instead of running the play on the field. Losing the game to the other school. Blah blah love at first sight. Tanner didn’t know she was still 17 so when he got to her he kissed her. And mumbles mine. Her boyfriend was on the other team. He came charging over punching Kyle's dad in the face. Do you know who Kyle's mom's boyfriend at the time was? Yep wades dad..” we both bust out laughing at this for the longest time none of us knew why gamma tanner hated Mr. White and then wade.
“anyways. Gamma tanner gritted his teeth glaring at his son said “yes that is a brilliant idea son. Wade, I expect you at training alongside Kyle starting after the Christmas break.” that was the last thing he said the rest of that night. Gamma has never been easy on wade I think it's one of the reasons wade is so -hard-headed to be the best. So then after dinner while father talked with the others we went to play cod. The twins are following us being annoying. Clara tried flirting with Kyle but he was not having it. After a few rounds, Sara loudly told Clara it's okay he's not into you Clara he doesn't like girls anyways. didn’t you notice he has a major crush on wade? Haven't you seen how he looks at him?” and then they left the room. Kyle's face goes so red and he looked like he was gonna say something when wade said “ya I know you look at me and sometimes I like it I just don’t know if it turns me on when you look at me yet so just didn’t say nothing. If I am into guys you're my first kiss if I’m not then well you can still look all you want everyone needs pictures in their spank bank right. Gotcha ya you're dead.” not once did he take his eyes off the screen as he was saying all that. Us three were just staring at him like what? None of us cared it was just wade didn’t talk all that much and never talked about boys or girls just kinda always avoided the topic. So we were all just in shock at what he said.” john nods and I wait for him to let that sink in.
We sat there in quietness for another five minutes just thinking and chuckling at the memory when john goes “well bull nuggets they outed him so, of course, they know he's gay what the purple people eater was I thinking. Well, then what was it that I said would make them that excited?” “wait and see.”
