Chapter 67
Opening the door I smell the urine and feces in the air. The scent of mold and mildew was heavy in the air. If I wasn’t prepared for the smell I would be gagging. We put the she-wolf in an insolation cell. Most of the floors to our dungeons are pretty up-to-date and high-tech. Most of the occupants of the cells are rogues. Some are looking for homes some who were kicked from packs for being dangerous. Ones looking for a home go through a stay in the cells to help with reestablishing a pack way of thinking and being. Most find the cells and rehab transition comforting and helpful. Then we have the floors with those never able to be let out again but deserve to live so they stay and live out in a medium sincerity floor. The floor we put the she-wolf on is one we save for those that will never see the light of day again. Once we talk to the get what we need it's over for them.
The guards have a good relationship with the prisnors. So walking in is a chior of wolves greeting me. So we took the back way going straight to the insolation cells. Standing just inside the door I can hear her trying to cast some spell. My father had a half-wolf half-witch problem in prison once kept getting out. So he had the whole dugong neutralized. No spell can be done down here. The stuff to neutralize magic is in the floor, walls, doors and everything down here. After years of playing cat and mouse, they both got tired of it and started playing cards becoming good friends. He spent the remainder of his sentence upstairs helping to develop shields against magic. Stopping in my tracks looking around. Shit shit shit this could be so bad the only person who would know how to get on the lands without being noticed was that old witch. Well, it's a good thing we also lined the cuffs with mistletoe lasted iron core. My father found that the mix of iron and mistletoe somehow block a witch's magic. It's a secret only our family knows. We pass the knowledge on to the next alpha in line and no one else. Or well that's what he said when he told me. But I agree the less that know our cert the better it suits us.
Linking the one person I know would know how to get a hold of that old bat “Micky can you call your uncle please I have a few things I need to go over with him?” “yes alpha ill call him now and let you know what he says” “thank you” cutting the link. Taking the last steps to her cell. Opening the door letting the light flood in before I flick the switch lighting up the cell. The wolf is curled up in a corner crying. Holding herself as if she's in pain, but she not making a sound. She doesn't even look up when I enter. “get a medic” I order. At the sound of my voice her eyes open. I can see the pain in her eyes. Squatting down looking at her I can see the tears flowing. This is nothing we have done to her as we have left her alone this whole time giving her three meals but other than giving her meals she's alone. We just sit here and wait for the medic. A young male comes in the room and looks over the she-wolf. “alpha she has pains from her mate being with another. There is nothing I can do for her.” he bows and leaves the room. Maybe getting information out of her won't be so hard. Soon she slowly sits up. “are you alright?” she nods.” where are you located?” she shakes her head. Okay, maybe not so easy.
“look we can do this the easy way or the hard way your choice. So what will it be?” she sneers at me “Brent will come for me soon and you will be sorry for holding me here.” she spits out. “so he sleeps around causes you that much pain and are you still loyal to him?” she shrugs “he treats me good and he could be with anyone but he choose me as his mate.” so shes a chosen mate huh? Maybe I can play on that a little. “oh and what happens when he finds his mate? His real mate I mean.” she gets a cocky smirk “and what makes you think he hasn’t already?” well that's not what I expected. Well okay, so she's just as messed up. Taking a big sniff I learn why she's half-witch. Her magic would have bound them together just as strong as our bite does. And she would have used both magic and bite to mark Brent. He belongs to her. She can pull magic through the bond its something witches can do if they are in trouble. They can pull magic from their mate to increase their power temperately. But I have her cut off from her wolf and magic. Thank the goddess for my father's discovery. “once I figure out this barrier spell I will be out of here.”
“well, your mate thinks otherwise he wants me to release you in exchange for my pack member's” she shrugs as if she doesn't care. This tells me he won't keep his word. Smirking at her I stand and walk out of the cell shutting and locking the door. The guys are a mix of shock and anger. I motion my head to the door indicating we need to talk outside. Once outside no one inside can hear the outside. Another way to drive the wolf insane is to deprive them of the outside it will slowly kill a wolf not being able to run free. Making it outside, they don’t waste a second before they start questioning me. "dude what the fuck?"
