“What the fuck are you waiting for give it to him” I scream at Enoy. Charging to me holding two vials up one blue and one green. “Which one? Go on choose one. But the wrong one will kill him so go ahead fucking choose one!” She screams at me. Looking at her and the vials then to max lifeless on the table. Dropping my shoulders and my head. I know I was out of line. I know she would have given it to him right away had she been able to.
Wrapping me in her arms holding me until I hug her back. Pulling back she nods at me. Asking if I’m okay I nod back. Grabbing the vials she goes to the kitchen and opens them. Pours a drop of each on the plate. Pushing it around with her fingers the twisted them together feeling the liquid between her fingers.
She picks up the vials swirls them looks at them then drinks them both. Enoy drops to the ground as max gasps taking a breath. “please tell me she took the blue one?” he rushes out fighting to stand. “she did” ros sadly says “and the green one” Eris cries. I’ve frozen. Shock. The room was frozen for a long moment. All of us waiting for the bond with her to snap. For the howls of Kai as his mate and pup fade away.
But it never came. Enzo was the first to make it to her looking her over. Tentacles of smoke-like whips slither all over her. Touching every part of her. Not in a sensual way but in a medical way. But it can’t stop the mind from wondering if he uses those in the bedroom. Shaking my head scolding myself for such thoughts at such a time.
“Lady e is still living. I do believe by drinking both she caused a limbo she’s in a place between life and death. It will be up to her should she come back to us. The pup is healthy and without harm. I do believe this rogue king had not foreseen her pregnancy and her demon half.” Enzo tells us. Releasing the breath I didn’t know I was holding I rushed to Max. Holding him tight letting my tears fall freely.
“What do we do?” rose asks. Looking around the only one not here is Ambrose. This could be contained. “someone from the pack let them on the land. So for now everyone outside this room is a suspect.” Max starts. The room nodded along. “wait where is Kai?” just now noticing he was missing. Trying to link him and nothing. My eyes widen in fear as I look up at max. “link him please?” “I’ve been trying I can’t reach him.”
“Send a search party our looking for the Lune. Link the team you think is best. Someone get Enoy on her bed.” Max demands. His beta aura leaks from him as he stands in for his alpha. While they take Enoy to her bedroom I make sure the boys are still sleeping. Eris is sitting on the couch silently crying as she looks at the boys.
“We can not let anyone outside this room know Enoy is in a coma. Eris outside this room it’s even more important you look like Enoy. Rosemary and rose you two make sure Enoy is clean and comfortable. I will ask doctor Locke to come up to do feeding tubes and an IV.” Putting in as much power as I can muster into my orders. By the look of my struggling to stay up coming from the room, I may have overdone it a little. Pulling it back in I sadly smile at everyone. Eris has a small smile on the corner of her mouth.
“um, I don’t know if this is good news or bad news but that kid Trevor from the blood moon just arrived and has some disturbing news.” Dean says looking at his phone. “what news is that?” Max asked. Looking over at dean I wait for the answer.
“So the alpha and beta were getting better unlike the rest of the pack. A few of the pack whores had nursed them back to health. A surfer guy appeared out of nowhere and slit the beta's neck then stole the alpha. But it was the arrival of the winter's soldiers that caused the kid to hide. He overheard them talking about master Loki being upset. To retrieve the waste of a hybrid mutt. He waited days for them to leave then started for here. He’s at the border hoping to see Enoy ask for help.” Dean tells us. “Enoy wanted to talk to the boy before passing judgment. So Eris you ros and Kaleb goes meet the boy between you three I’m sure you’ll be able to spot a lie. This also will show any spies that Enoy is fine. Tomorrow they will see max at morning training as nothing happened. If there are spies for them they will see both Enoy and max fine. And will report to the fucknugget that she got the right one.” Evil grins start spreading across the room.
A knock on the door lets us know Dr. Locke has arrived. Her family has been doctors in this packing way back before they were called doctors. Letting her in we give her a short rundown she nods and heads to Enoy room. Coming back to ask something yelping when she sees Enoy standing there. “Dr. Locke you look like you saw a ghost.” Kaleb chuckles. “oh my goddess I will never get used to that. I have known you two all your lives. The easiest set of identical to tell apart. Seeing you look like your sister still hurts my head. I will admit only a handful of wolves have questioned whether your Eris with contacts and dyed hair.” She chuckles.
“so what was the decision on the kid yes to staying here or am I turning him away?” a heavy silence fills the room.
