“but why?” Pointing to the arena floor. “Easy if you are outside dealing with something pack related and your name was called. Did you want someone to come looking for you?” Eris says in her I’m smarter than you tone. She’s definitely a Luna now.
We ended up having to leave a few warriors behind with trucks for the animals not sold or still in the lineup to be ridden. When I had made it to the booth I got Kai and fallen and excused our early leave stating business. They said any buckles awarded to any of us will be sent back with the crew left back. I wanted to say you can keep them but defeats the purpose of participating.
Fallen looked happier than the last time I saw her. And that was less than an hour ago. She also seems in a better mood maybe a bit tired. “so just out of curiosity how are you so well almost a dad? And how many are you having?” her tinkering bell-like giggles fill the truck. “master Ambrose did something and boom way super early cub. And just one. Bears can only have one cub at a time.” She waves her hand out like it’s the silliest thing. A huge difference in her before. “so no one’s gonna ask? Okay, I’ll ask what the hell was with the glasses screaming now fine crazy …” waving his hand around fallen. “easy she just got the halfway point in her pregnancy. It’s the stage where we up north can no longer or shouldn’t be outside. Too much danger. So females' eyes get sensitive to light and especially the breeds that hibernate or can hibernate. This also usually follows the seasons. Mostly with the bears. But a few of the pack families try and follow the same breeding cycle. Anyway, their bodies direct most of the energy not to making and growing the cubs. Fallen will be Hungary and often really sleepy. Up north we have special heating that keeps all the cabins at the perfect temperature for the breed. So fallen would spend a lot of time comfortable and able to nap. Down here it’s always got a brightness to it. So that didn’t help her eyes. Also, the season is wrong as well. So this pregnancy is new even for her.” Kai explains as fallen nods along shoving popcorn in her mouth like she’s watching a movie.
Looking back at Fallen I can’t even comprehend where she’s putting all that food. Has she stopped eating since I saw her again? No, I don’t think so. I mean I haven’t been around a whole lot of pregnant she-wolves but that looks a little much. The tickle of Kai's breath on my neck as he leans in to whisper. “it’s a bear thing. And they are sensitive about it so don’t ask just give her food when she holds her hand out.” He chuckles rubbing his nose against my neck. Making it hard to think. “in a month she will stop eating, and really fall into the sleeping part. Because bear cubs are so big things also give her body time to move and stretch making room to shoot the little sucker out.” I couldn’t hold my giggles back as I try and scoot closer to Kai.
I know we have a lot to go over when we are back but right now so close to Kai in the closed cab of the truck. His hand lands on my thigh. His hand moved up my leg as his lips make light barley there kisses on my neck. I feel my core clench and a rush of wet coating my panties as my arousal increases
“For the love of the goddess closer your legs bitch. The truck smells like a bitch in heat.” Max yells as fallen starts making gagging noises as she hits the window button. A deep angry grumble comes from the back. Before I can turn around Kai shakes his head sitting back against the seat taking my hand and wrapping his around it.
Kaleb groans as he rolls down his window. “fucking Kai get your hands off her. Touching her is not gonna leases the stink” Kaleb groans and Kai growls. I couldn’t stop the giggle. “ I missed you guys. So tell me everything I missed!” I demand laying my head on Kai's shoulder rubbing my hand up and down his arm. Just being this close soothes me in a way I didn’t know I needed. Feeling relaxed for the first time even if I shouldn’t. But we do have another forty-five-minute drive.
“max” Fallen's pouty voice comes from the back. Looking back I see she’s holding the popcorn bag upside down. Max's eyes widen as he pulls the bag to his lap. Pulling empty wrappers out and tossing them to the side. His eyes shoot up looking around panic on his face. “shit” all three men breathe out at the same time. Before I can ask why Fallen starts crying. Like huge flood tears. “I’m gonna starve to death. You all hate me.” She wails. “wheres the closed gas station Kaleb” Kai rushes out. “thirty minutes away.” Kaleb screeches. “pull over and stop the truck right now. Fallen sweetie what do you want?” I ask sweetly as Kai is staring at me like I lost my mind. “ice cream and pizza.” She huffs. When the truck stops I look to Kaleb. “stay here do not move.” I order. Leaning in I kiss Kai and then mist to the pack house. I may not be able to take someone along when I mist but I can take things. No heartbeat I can mist with it.
“awe mister Ambrose here for more cinnybonnies?” Mary asks. “nope Mary it’s me. Good to see you. I need a pizza, whatever Fallen's favorite is, and ice cream.” Mary just nods heading to the oven she pulls out a pizza box that says -Fallen's afternoon snack do not touch- in bold letters. Then she brings me a pint of bubble gum ice cream. Gross. “you just have this all handy?” “she eats two of them a day took us three days to learn to keep them on hand.” She chuckles. I can see the love she has for fallen already even in her food addict ways right now. Kissing Mary’s cheek I mist back to the truck. Opening the door they all are staring at me with wide eyes and jaws on the floor. The. Fallen's eyes snap to my hands and she throws her hands out making the gimme, gimme motion. Handing her the box and max the pint she does a little happy dance as she stuffs a slice in her mouth moaning.
“What the fuck? Kaleb screams. “like I said we have a lot to talk about. Let’s get home I don’t think that pizza is gonna last long.” I rush out as fallen grabs, another slice. Still doing her little hopping happy dance in the seat. Please don’t let me be like that when I’m pregnant.
