A few hours later I finally find my way back down to mine and Kai's room. Finding him laying in our bed his color does look better. Most of his injuries have healed. The long slash over his cheek and eye was still picked and red in anger. “When he wakes I’ll ask him if he wants to keep the scar or not. He looked to have fought fiercely, so I don’t want to take something he earned if he wants to keep that reminder.” Ambrose tells me from the door. Nodding I kneel on the bed taking Kai's hand and bringing it to my chest.
“He will be fine I promise Enoy. What do you want to be done with the girl?” “I want to know who she’s working with and why okay we know why she wanted to mate max. What made her believe he would choose her over a fated mate?” I ask as I stare at my mate pouring all my love through the bond.
“what if you do not like the answers?” “If I didn’t ask questions out of fear of the answers we all would be living with our heads in the sand. We do not have that luxury too many people rely on me to stay staff and by the goddess, I will keep them safe.” I sneer out my anger rising. “okay okay calm down. You get angry then little alpha gets angry and the oxygen starts being removed from the room from his heat” “what” I ask as an ice bath is thrown over me. Or well the feeling of an ice bath covering me.
“you’ve not noticed when you get anger things melt and the room gets overly hot?” shaking my head he starts laughing. “well he’s protecting his mom from the womb. He will be powerful. We will have our hands full.” He chuckles “we?” “well yes, who do you plan to train his magic and his demon half?” “oh I don’t know Enzo he’s been a whole demon longer right?” his growl fills the room his anger so thick I can taste it as I chuckle. “you and your line are of my line you are my responsibility.” He seethes out in a deathly serious haunting voice. I couldn’t hold the giggles back at his tantrum. “oh please ammy I like Enzo but he’s not Ambrose. Of course, I wouldn’t trust anyone over you with my pups. So sit on some ice and calm down “ “bitch” he huffs.
“so we need to talk about the winters as well ammy, the kid Trevor told dean they showed up looking for the alpha that’s now missing. Some surfer dude stole the alpha and slit the beta's neck? Would be nice to ask what kind of blade was used so we know if he’s able to heal or not?” looking at him innocently. I know he stole Paul away I want to know why.
“Can't you just be happy to know they are gone?” shaking my head he humphs and groans for several minutes. “okay fine I may know the alpha will never be a problem again. And it might have been a silver corded iron blade. So healing not so much possible.” Crossing his arms as he plops down on the couch. “was that so hard? And how do you know Paul won’t be a problem?” I ask.
An evil smile crosses his face. “did I mention Zyaire and his mate Eula just had an impling?” raising his brow at me shaking my head wondering where this is going. “well I was struggling with a gift for her no one has gotten her before. Then I heard alpha Paul was still breathing his beta was able to give them both potions for healing. So I ended that abomination and stole the alpha. He will be my new sister's nanny. He will have to see to her every need and want. He will belong to her until she tires of him. So he could have a very long or short life depending on how she uses him.” He grins.
“Don’t you think that’s getting off easy?” I ask shaking my head. “my sister is a full demon born in the demon realm to the overseer and his mate. Niece to the overseeress. She will grow up spoiled like most princess are. Tell me what type of person is your cousin?” he giggles. I have only heard stories but Eris breaks the silence walking in “she's a spoiled brat that I wish we were not related to. Did you know she took a chosen mate because she never found her? Took someone else mates just because she could.” Eris spits out. Looking like herself as she crosses the room bringing me a hot chocolate cause none of these jerks will let me have coffee.
Sipping the cocoa moaning as the hot rich goodness slides down my body warming me. Kai moans and rolls causing me to sit on the bed. Scooting to rest my back on the headboard just getting comfortable when Kai slammed his head to my lap. Freya jumped up on my free side snuggling in. “you know if this had not been so serious this would be the perfect picture.” She sadly smiles. Pulling my feet up I point to the end of the bed. “talk to me.” “well I found my mate but I don’t know if” “is he evil and wants to take over the world? Beats she-wolves. Or did he risk everything to tell Dean what he says then risked more to walk here to tell us face to face where he could not lie if he tried?” tilting her head looking at me oddly
Trying again “do you like dean?” she nods “gave you met this Trevor before” shaking her head “he was sent to a pack for training before I went there wasn’t due back until after he turned twenty-one. The blood moon does not allow the males to mate before twenty-one I never found out why?” nodding. “am your thoughts on the boy?” “I’ve met with him I do believe he is generally a good wolf.
