Walking into the dining room I see the pack all there. The coven mixed in with the pack makes me smile. “You feeling any better?” Sally asks. “A little. Can’t wait until I’m fully healed again.” “I bet. So what’s the plan, Stan?” “Stan?” Raising a brow at her. She just shrugs looking around the room. “Look see the blonde guy that looks like he’s about to throw up?” I nod “that’s Harry Thompson. He’s Sara’s delivery driver.” “Human?” She nods “I thought the delivery drivers that come here all know about wolves?” “Oh he knew about wolves, but they didn’t inform him he could be someone’s mate. Now add he’s about to be the new gammas mate.” Chuckling. “guess he got a crash course. Where’s Sara?” finding it odd she left her uncomfortable mate alone. “she went to grab the chalice and dagger from your office. Oh, and my new room is amazing. La loves it too she’s moving all her stuff in as we speak.” “hows fern do you know?” “better from what I heard still sleeping though. She wants you to wait until she wakes to read the book again.” “Okay. Let’s hope the dreams wait until she’s better.”
Making our way to the front of the room to the raised table. Johnny and his mate Kacey are standing behind the beta chairs. Sara comes in and leads her new mate to my left side where the gamma chairs are. Sally and Michaela are next to them. And finishing off the table is my father and Brit next to Johnny and Kacey. Taking my spot behind my chair the room quiets.
“Well, I can’t tell you how good it is to see you all. First I want those whose pups are sleeping to know finding a cure and the reason for it is top of my list of things to see to. They all will continue to receive the best care we can find.
The coven is working hard on developing a cure. I have also decided to have the first floor of the dungeons turned into a large safe room. I want the pups moved to an area that can be locked in case of something. I want to say this was a one-time attack but I don’t think it is. So with the help of the future gamma Delta and warrior's head, we all will start training harder and longer. We will be ready for the next attack.
The black rose pack is behind this attack. And I would bet dinner they will attack again. Tomorrow I will be sending emails and making calls to all our allied packs to come here and help us prepare and stand against the black rose.

But I want each and everyone one here able to defend themselves.” Finishing my speech I had not meant to give. The room was quiet for a pregnant moment. Jill one of the daycare workers stands up “alpha, if I may I would like to suggest everyone also get basic first aid and maybe some emergency medical training.” She meekly but strongly suggests. Nodding I look around the room.
“Jill I would like you to get with doctor Edwards and one of the healers from the coven and work on a training plan for that. Does anyone else have any suggestions or questions?” watching Jill’s face go so red she was glowing. She sat down and the room remained silent. “then let’s eat.” With that, the kitchen staff opened the kitchen windows. We set out the dining room like a buffet. We usually get the pup's plates first. Once they are settled then the older kids. After the young pre-wolves are done then we serve the elders finishing with the rest of the pack. I like to wait and make sure everyone is eating before I get my plate.
The cooks outdid themselves with lamb chops, a huge pot roast, fried chicken, and an assortment of roasted or baked vegetables. Three kinds of salads. Anne came from the kitchen holding a large bowl and a steaming mug. Making her way to me she sets them down in front of me. “madame fern said to give you this stew for supper and I made you some more tea. It’s should help warm you for the night.” “Thanks, Anne. Everything smells amazing.” Smiling she hurries off. Sitting down wrapping the throw I brought with me as I watched the room gather food. The lack of pups is very noticeable.
The stew was good but I was feeling nervous as it was getting closer to dessert. Anne got up and closed the windows as mark pushes the dirty dish bins out. Standing I gather everyone's attention “as we finish dinner I wanted to take this time to honor a few individuals.” Walking around the table my father brings a stand for the chalice and dagger to set on. Sara brings the chalice and dagger setting them on the stand.
“as you all know we recently help a tournament of titles. So we have some titles to bless some wolves with. So what do you think if we did that right now?” the room breaks out in cheers and whistles. Waving my hand to quiet them all down.
“First Johnny Ellis please step forward “ nodding he kisses Kacey’s forehead and makes his way to stand across the stand from me.
“Johnny you fought bravely through every fight you were paired in. You placed first earning you the title of beta. Now, do you pledge your life to this pack? To help your alpha run the pack step into the alpha's shoes when the alpha can't. To help guide every wolf in the pack. I promise to stand in front of any wolf here and end any problem my pack has.” He picks up the dagger slicing his palm and dropping three drops in the chalice. I repeated this again with Sara and Sally. Adding my own blood at the end. Then starting with Sally they each took a sip of the blood-laced wine. When the wine touched my tongue I felt the bonds snap in place a surge of power I know was missing but didn’t know how much until it rushed through me. I can hear the gasps as the room feels the bonds take hold.
