Chapter 29
Walking back to my room I overheard a few guys talking about a club. Curious I listen from around the corner. “I’m telling you man it was the best night. The girl had these tits and a tongue to die for. You should totally go.” “I don’t know man it’s kinda expensive for one night.” “Ya but one night of your wildest dreams. Tell you what I have Saturday off and so do you. I have a membership with one guest admission a year. I haven’t used it this year come with me and try it out.”
They turned a corner just out of hearing range. I’m gonna have to look into this. Rushing to my room I shut and lock my door. When I pushed the door shut u thought I felt something fuzzy. Looking back I see nothing. Shrugging I grab my laptop and head to my bed. Looking for clubs nearby. Several clubs showed up. Mostly dance clubs.
What was it he said “night of your wildest dreams?” still nothing. Sticking the book under my pillow I head out in search of my father. I could link him but he’s the type to answer the link even when he’s engaging in gymnastics with Britney.
Finding him in the kitchen “hey dad can I talk to you for a moment?” “sure what’s up sweetie.” “alone?” he looked up from the veggies he was cutting. “sure honey Brit will you take over please?” “sure thing babe.” Following me out of the kitchen. “what's eating at you?” “I overheard a couple of guys talking about a club and I want to know if you know about it.” He is silent for a long time. “what kind of club?” he avoids answering me. “something about wildest dreams.” “That's what I was afraid you would say. Look honey first you are eighteen so you are too young and that place is for the deprived. It’s a sex club.” “where? Who owns it?” “I’ve never been personally just heard stories. It’s the kind of place you find because you were invited.” “what's it called?” “you know what I don’t know. I’m sure I have heard the name before but I can’t remember now.” Nodding I see the relief in his eyes. “come help make supper.” He says wrapping his arm around my shoulders. Letting him steer me towards the kitchen I help make roasted chicken with potatoes gravy and an array of veggies. As we cook the words Loki said ran through my head. “everything takes a sacrifice.” Then it hits me how right he is. To eat we kill animals and plants. To make clothes, same thing. Well, maybe some magic ain’t that bad I mean eating is not bad so.
After a good meal with the pack, I head back to my room. Logging into the pack room assignments I look for brad and Calvin along with what vehicle in the garage Calvin drives the most on his days off. I notice he already put in to take the black SUV Saturday night. Good, I have three days to come up with a plan to get to the club and get in. I stop what I’m doing when I hear a tapping looking around I can’t see anything. Stupid you're letting your mind get the best of you. Okay so dad said it’s a sex club so what does one wear to a sex club?
Time to do some good old fashion internet searches. Three minutes in and I already slammed my laptop shut twice. So many things and I am not learning how sheltered I am. Finding a list of limits that most people who engage in these activities. Some don’t sound too horrible but some just plain sound painful. Knife play. No thanks. Choking don’t people know that’s a good way to die? Breathing is important.
Looking in my closet I have nothing to wear that would not make me stick out like a sore thumb. I can’t order anything as it wouldn’t get here on time. What to do. I wonder if Loki said he grew up here and he seems a little on the dark side. Getting up I decide I will pay him another visit today. Walking down the hall I see a huge spider scurry across the hall. Screaming in fright. Calvin rushed around the corner. “alpha are you okay?” “oh, my goddess yes. I’m so sorry there was a huge spider.” “It's an old castle alpha.” He chuckles. “yes but this thing was as big as my head I swear.” “you're killing me, alpha. Where did it go I’ll go hunt it down.” Pointing down the hall he heads off looking for the monster.
I could stand here and look stupid or keep on my way. I already made a fool of myself so off I go. Besides if I stick around I will ruin my chance to follow him to this club. I know I shouldn’t go but I am the alpha of alphas it’s my right to check on the welfare of any wolf. Let’s hope that’s enough to get me through the door.
“That was fast reading my dear.” Loki says the moment I’m through the door waving my hand in dismissal “I haven’t started yet I want to ask you a few things. First how long have you been part of the Winters pack.” “Well, I was twenty when I was shoved into this painting. You had just been born and you are how old now?” “wait what you’ve been in that painting for eighteen years?” “sounds about right. So I have been here a while. Why?” “do you know about placing in neutral land?” Nodding at me he waits for me to continue. “there's a club there somewhere. Do you know about it?” “Which one there were many when I was able to walk around.” Pacing I try and find the words.
“I overheard a couple of guys talking about this club that makes your wildest dreams come true. And I want to go.” “awe the den. Yes, that is a fun place. What about it?” “where is it how do I get in?” tilting his head and looking me over. “you are not the type my dear.” “Are you gonna help me or what?”
