Chapter 11
For six months the only new thing to happen is we now are seen by the medical staff in the morning and given a shot. The shot goes to our bloodstream I can feel a burn as it flows into me. Every day the spells I had felt being placed on me start to lift. I had time to think things through. Recalling the last alliance contract that still is in place and will be until I take over as alpha states that no one from the winters pack can reject a mate from the black rose pack just as a member of the black rose can not reject a winters pack member. Doing so breaches the agreement breaking it. The pack at fault must surrender all shares in the Samuels corporation. The winters make a lot of money from my pack and family and I may have just gotten us out of it. No one knows how the alpha of alphas would have gotten the clause in the contract. In the first place and I now have a good idea of how.
Ty and I have been given new orders to meet the unit on the second floor of the dorm building. Stepping on the floor I feel pressure all around me. The smell of several different beings all around me. Fear pain and hate are heavy in the air. Trying to look around without looking around but I can find nothing but the blank white walls and shining black floor. Following the squad leader down the hall stopping every so often a door appeared in the wall. Each of us was taken to a room one at a time.
Coming in the room a link opens up “sit in the chair relax and enjoy your day.” the link cuts off again. How does one go about pre-recording mind links I still don’t know? A nurse walks in and hooks me up to an iv. Coolness rushes up my arm not unpleasant at all. Soon the feeling lulls me to sleep my eyes drifting close.
Waking up I feel exposed. Following my unit out, I notice it's now dark. We all head back to our rooms falling into bed. The next time I woke this was repeated. I lost count of how many times we did this. But we now only have a month left here. And I no longer feel any part of the spell on me. I could feel my wolf again and the bond I had with Ty was back in place. This was how I knew we were very close to leaving here. And my plan to come into place. Looking at others I can see they still have some of the spells on them. The unit I am being the alpha and betas leaving this year. We are all called to the offices to meet with the alpha of alphas. Tomorrow we leave so today is the day we sign the contract. Today is going to be a bad day for the winter.
They had returned our things and so I had sent a text to my father letting him know to be prepared. Since it was just alphas being called to the office to sign Ty packed our things so that when I go the office he can head to the truck and be ready. I don’t see this going down nicely. But they cant cause too much of a fuss with all the other alphas around able to remember now. Excitement ran through my veins. Watched closely as the other six alphas sign the contract. The last of the spell leaves them as they sign. Good, they will remember this and question their contracts.
“alpha Philip Samuels do you agree to the terms of the alliance contract laid down by our forefathers?” smiling “I do not. I call into question the integrity of your vows made by your forefathers to mine. It's stated in section 12 paragraph 3 that no member of either pack can reject the mate bond. If the mate is part of the leadership the rejecting mate's pack must give up all shares in the business owned by the rejected pack. And the alliance rendered null and void.” gasps echo from wall to wall. Alpha winters is taken back in shock as he looks around the room for answers. “who?” he whispers out and my smirk got bigger. I can feel the guard closing in so I take off towards a window yelling over my shoulder “ask your daughter” and I fly through the window. Racing to the dorm building debating go through or around.. seeing guards inside I sprint around. The back of my truck faced me as Ty turned it around. Leaping I jump in the bed of the truck as Ty floors it out of there. Noticing the time thinking we got lucky the delivery vans will be here by the time we get to the gate. I had thought we would have to ditch my truck at the gate and shift to get home. but I wanted to try and get out with my truck. And we did. The gate was closing as we got there so Ty gave it all he could the gate scrapping against the end of my truck bed as we just make it out.
Ty drove for about an hour with the pedal pressed to the floor. Once we were only about an hour out of the pack lands we stopped to refuel and get something to eat. Ty had rolled the window down in the back seat on the passenger side and I climbed in. Not stopping the truck wanting to make as much ground as possible.
Called father once I had service again coming out of the tree cover. “father I refuse to sign the alliance the princess is my mate she rejected me. I rejected her rejection. Some shit happens at the winter's pack so they may call or come looking.” rushing out. “and you just now tell me it's been four years and nothing, not a word something was wrong what happened?” “father I will explain when I get home I swear I did nothing you wouldn't. I would call the twins back home.” I can hear the father suck in the air at the mention of the twins. Okay something is up and I don’t want to do it over the phone. “father we will be home in two hours just lock down the pack no one in or out. But us.” something in my voice must have convinced him to listen. The line goes dead.
