Chapter 19
Two years it's been two fucking years. The night ten pups and four teens had been taken right under our noses had been the last attack or contact with this rogue king. I think my mistake was saying that we have a traitor among us. Cause not a sound since. Looking around no one seemed guilty or suspicious. Two weeks later we got word the plane our parents were on crashed and there were no survivors. No bodies were recovered from the wreck. The fire ate everything. We all grieved for a long while.
Stepping out of the shower I can smell her in my room. “what do you want?” “it's been two years don’t you think it's time to move on. I would make you a great mate and Luna” I didn’t want her then what make her think I would want her now? “I believe it is up to me when the time for me to move on. And when I do you are not even on my list of she-wolves to call. If being with you would save us all then we would all die. Now get the fuck out of my room. It's been two years since you pulled this ill let you have this one pass but next time well there better not be the next time.” I roar at her. Shaking the house with the power of my command to her. Making sure I put as much of my alpha power into the command making sure it sticks.
My phone starts ringing the minute I make it through the door. “alpha William”
“alpha William this is alpha winters. I have some good news and some horrible news.”
“let's have the horrible news first”
“oh man, I wish you picked good news first cause now it's just all bad news. We found one of the twins, and I’m sorry I have to inform you she’s dead.”
Shock is all I feel. We already thought they were dead. One night wade went through horrible soul-splitting pain. Took him a few days to recover from the pain. The doctors were unsure of why it was so painful for wade when the mate bonds were broken. But we left him to recover and heal for a month. He didn’t stay down that long. He slowly got back to himself. To this day like me, he has hopes of a second chance mate so we both have vowed that if we have not found a second chance mate by 30 we will take a chosen mate.
“alpha are you there?”
“.…..”
“William?”
“.…..”
“DAMN IT ALPHA WILLIAM SAMUELS ANSWER ME!”
“sooorrry soorry. Can repeat that I don’t think I heard you right. Sounded like you said you found my dead sister dead.?”
“that's the thing she was alive when we found her but died on the way to the hospital.”
“I'm sorry what?”
“alpha pulls yourself together I need you and your pack to search the area we found her.”
“Sorry I’m here was just in shock is all. Where do you need us to go and I can have us on the road in an hour.”
Alpha winters gave me all the information he had and texted me the coordinates as to where to go. I linked all the warrior heads to my office along with john Kyle and wade. John comes in carrying his newborn son. Amber took a while to conceive no one knew why but they are happy to have this little bundle of joy baby beta Tyler. Kyle still walking around shirtless making sure everyone can see his mate mark. His mate ended up being one of his top warriors. He had always liked the guy said he was a great warrior. I had had a feeling he liked him more than he thought he should. It turned out that Ethan knew they were mates a year before being that he is a year older. He went to the witches for a potion to keep the mate bond secret once his mate was of age. He had this fear that Kyle would reject him. in our pack same-sex relationships are welcomed and accepted for whatever reason had not had a gay leadership member until Kyle. So when Ethan found out they were mates he thought Kyle would reject him. So to save him that he asked for the bond to be muted not broken just his mate won't be able to smell him so will not know about the mate bond.
Six months ago we had a long trip to red sun pack for the blue moon mating ball. On that trip, I had requested that Ethan come as my guard. Many she-wolves know that I lost my mate and so all try and get close to being my mate. What we had not known was the Luna in an attempt to get me to choose her daughter as my mate to strengthen our bonds. She had witches cast a few spells on the dance hall. One to cancel any spells you might be under as you enter the first door and the second was to increase the mate bond so that if there is any tiny bit of a chance for a mate bond it is amplified. If we had known about the spells I’m sure Ethan would have found a way out of coming. The second we entered the second door Kyle had Ethan pined to the wall growling “mine” over and over. Then slamming his lips to Ethan's. Ethan pulled away in shock wanting to ruin I could see the panic and so could Kyle. We all went outside to find out why Ethan was so scared.
Took most of the night but Ethan finally accepted Kyle was never going to reject him. Nor would he have a six months ago. I had to explain twice that we all knew Kyle was gay and didn’t care and would welcome his mate with open arms. Once he accepted that the pack would accept him because the alpha accepts him just as he is. So for the last four months, it seems like Kyle forgot he has shirts.
