Tomorrow I turn seventeen and I have decided that I will start helping my mom more. Some days she comes home so stressed that it causes tension fights around the suite. Ambrose always jokes about her losing control in her old age. Which causes her to get even more annoyed or angry pushing his button to push hers and we are ordering a new couch, TV, and refrigerator once.
We have too many operations for her to do alone. That’s why it’s always been split in two. My door flies open. In struts Vladimir, Tulok, Ravenana, and Derek. “what's up ass holes.” “so the dads got together and decided since your gonna start helping tomorrow. That tonight we get to go to the puppy mill.” He says excitedly. Looking around I see all of them in the same state of excitement. “for real? Wait full access or puppy level?” Crossing my arms. I can get that level anywhere anytime I want I mean I am a young good looking alpha wolf. Raven turned to shadows sliding across the floor turning back in front of me. This is a shadow slide. She can slide through any shadow to any other shadow.
With a smirk, she holds her hand out to me. In her hand is a plastic access card. Taking it the red metallic letters outlined in silver is the word puppy mill VIP all access visitors badge. Snapping my eyes up “holy shit for real.” “so what do you say alpha?” Tulok smirks at me. “I say get showered my friends we leave in ten.” A growl comes from my left “make that twenty” I chuckle. Derek rolls his eyes. “what about us?” Ares and Mars walk in. “if dad is cool I’m cool.” Mars smirks “DAD!” he yells down the hall. “mars” he answers back rounding the corner “we want to go with them to the puppy mill “ “you know if it was up to me I’d break the rules boys but you know your mother’s rules. You know to go to the puppy mill you have to have your wolves. Don’t worry I will take you both myself after you get your wolves” “fine but I want a double” Mars crosses his arms in front of his face.
Laughing at his antics. “your mother wanted to see you four before you leave. Derek, I have a gift waiting for you in your room.” He winks at Derek. With a wide smile, Derek sprints out yelling over his shoulder “ thanks unless Kai” “ill take what he’s having” Ares chuckles. “no you won’t. I gave special permission for Derek it’s not his fault he’s two years younger than the others. Besides didn’t you ask for the same thing for your birthday?” “well to be accurate I have it on my Christmas list as well, so.” He smirks at my mom. Rolling her eyes she makes a shooting motion at the twins. “fine I’ll go this time but next time you won’t be so lucky” “shut up you idiot I don’t want extra chores” Ares shoves Mars down the hall.
“Alright, kids I want you back by ten am. Here are the scent blockers. Since the season is already in bloom I had Ambrose add extra protection to this. And please remember to use the showers before you leave there. Last time someone forgot we lost five good warriors.” We all nod. “I granted you all the VIP all access plus. I have a feeling you all are a lot like Kai and me.” shock rushes through me for a moment before I smirk at my mom. Her smile is warm and welcoming but the glint of red in her eyes screams danger. “then I’d like to shower and go. Also, can you have a driver ready I think I might have some night blossom wine?” My mother’s tinkering bells of laughter echo through my room. “Already thought of that I’ll see you in the morning be in the office at ten thirty sharp” “yes mother. Thank you again. Go get ready fuckers.” Dashing to my closet. Grabbing a bag for a change of clothes. Black jeans, black dress shirt black boots. Black belt with a silver buckle. Black hat. Then I stuff work jeans a plaid pearl snap in the bag along with a white dress shirt and blue jeans. My boots are black so good to go.
I shower making sure to scrub down. I know I’ll go through a UV filter when we get there but safety first. Getting out of the shower I look in the mirror at my odd eyes like my siblings we don’t have the typically elongated pupils like the other halfling or solid eye colors like the rest of the pack. All four of us have enchanting eyes. My soul flame bird is almost fully filled in. I can summon him out of my body now. He’s more of a shield than a weapon right now. His head rests on the side of my neck his wings spread across my shoulders his tail stretched down to the middle of my back. I can’t summon him out of me when I’m in my wolf form but he turns my fur into protective flames.
One last look in the mirror and I get dressed And head upstairs to wait for the rest of my friends. Raven is already in the entryway pacing “what has you pacing?” “I forgot to eat earlier. I was gonna go grab a bag but your dad said one will be waiting for me when we get there.” “so be careful and don’t cut myself on anything?” “do it bitch I dare you.” Her black glow with excitement. “save it for the puppy mill guys.” Vlad huffs Tul following close behind. “y'all ready?” my cousin Ian asks coming down the stairs from the offices Ivan close behind. “mom letting you two come?” “of course, you think she’d leave your favorite cousins out?” “Who said you are my favorites?” I stare at him. He says nothing just shrugged his shoulders smirking at me. Shaking my head at his cockiness. “I feel sorry for whoever is mated to you.” “more like jealous.” He bumps into me laughing.
