Chapter 56
Finally getting Kyle calmed down just as the phone on my desk rings. Staring at the phone before I pick it up. The id showed an out state number. “William Samuels” not knowing if this was a human or wolf calling. The phone line being that of the company line. “this is Sargent lee of the tri city county sheriff’s department.. we found a car registered to a Kimberly walker abandoned along one of clear glass creek road.” as he speaks I am typing the names in my computer to look up where he is talking about. Glancing I see several faces looking at me so I hit speaker phone.
“is there anything wrong with the car? Like out of gas flat tire any obvious reasons the car was abandoned?”
“no sir we cant figure this out the key and hand bag are still in side the vehicle. The camp ground manager called us due to it being here longer than three nights that were paid for.”
“i will send someone to come retrieve the car unless you need to hold it?” looking to Kyle who is standing up with a nod to go grab a travel pack.
“no sir. There is no reason to hold the car for any reason. How long before someone can be here?” looking at the computer I notice this town is about fifty miles off of the route she had planned. But will still be at least a day to get there. “it will take about a day to get there. if the camp directors allow it can you leave the car there and I will call them to have the fee on my card I will pay for the days its sat there past the three days as well. I will assume he is out money for the spot.” I can here him rely the message to someone. Little did they know I can hear them. I did the math while looking at the website for the camping ground. Seeing the nightly price and going from what the officer told me the car has been there two days passed so three days. Planning to pay for four days. That was until I heard him tell the officer it will be three times the amount. “office lee you can tell the man I will pay for three days as that's how long the car would be in the spot passed what is paid for. If he wanted to over charge me the price of a spot should not be online. Or I will let you have the car towed and I will pay the tow company and he will be out the two days fee from the car being part there.” the officer chuckled the relayed the message. You can here how upset this man was getting and his refusal of what I offered he wanted more. So I told the officer to have the car towed and he can contact my lawyers for the amount he feels entitled to. Hanging up with them after a few more minutes of talking and exchanging information.
“jimmy who is the best tracker as of right now other than john and wade?” waiting while jimmy thinks Allie comes over and starts rubbing my shoulders. “Tyson brown is the best tracker other than you guys.” tapping my chin Tyson is just 17 though I know hes a strong warrior as well. “tell him to pack a bag and report here.” if we didn’t have to deal with human I would just send them as wolves taking just a few hours of hard running to get there. But we have to deal with humans so car trip they will be taking. Kyle coming back in with a backpack slung over his shoulder. A look of determination on his face. “Tyson brown is on his way here he will go with you before you leave the area see what you two can find out fro the camp site.” he nods I hold out one of the business card and keys to my truck. I want the car towed home. Since they have to go in human form to retrieve the car they will tow it back. Once back here I will have it gone through inch by inch. “we will find her will.” Allie says squeezing my shoulder. Relaxing back into my chair.
It took Tyson two minutes to get to the office. “Tyson you will be going with gamma Kyle he will fill you in on whats going on during the drive. Both of you be safe check in frequently and Kyle if you find anything call me right away.” they nod and leave. “wade can you and your cousin still break personal accounts on the internet?” he nods “good can you see about Kim's emails and social media?” standing he walks out heading no dought to his cousins house.
Everyone left to do what they needed for the day we still have lives to live. The world doesn't stop for no wolf. Standing stretchering my back looking back at my sweet little mate. “come on little one time to get your blood checked. Lets hope for good news.” she smiles her sweet smile at me taking my hand following me out of the office. Reaching the bottom step when I hear the click clack of high heels coming down the hall from the dinning room. The spicy scent of perfume fills the air. There is only one wolf I know that wears that much perfume and its Hannah. Her scent getting stronger I want to rush Allie out of the house but know Hannah already smelled me close. Pulling Allie to me tucking her close to my side. I will not let Hannah make her feel the way she did again. Allie purrs deep in her throat at the closeness. The sound going straight to my groin. “grandmas in string bikini’s” “what will?” looking down at her in confusion “grandmas in string bikini’s? whats that?” laughing “didn’t mean to say that out loud. Your purring is additive and enticing trying to calm myself.” giggling at me she hugs me tight pressing herself to me “try thinking about grandma’s in bikini’s now? She says and takes off out the door. Growling I give chase. I have a strong feeling she smelt Hannah as well. She made it to the bottom of the steps outside before o scooped her up in my arms throwing her over my shoulder. “got ya” smacking her ass playfully.
