Standing outside the packhouse with everyone. It's been a long month since I woke from my coma and marked Allie. Kim has spent every day teaching Allie how to run the pack with me. Teaching her the ins and outs of being the Luna. Now it's the day she has been waiting for the day she leaves here driving several hundred miles to the poison mist pack. This is a good day for us all soon Kim will be the future Luna of the poisoned mist pack. They are the leading pack in poisons and antidotes. With them, on our side, we will be able to have a stronger defense against the rogue king. I had wanted to send a few warriors along with her but she reject it. “it's been quiet lately and I want to surprise hunter” it had been her last request before leaving the pack. I had tried to talk her out of going alone. She wouldn't listen to it. So here we are saying our goodbyes as she puts the last of her things in her little car. Again I tried to talk her into something more suitable. But no she wanted the cute little thing. I had given in when I bought the car. Kim had needed it to get back and forth from town as she was acting as Luna. She did a lot alone I know I said I didn’t blame her for the death of my mate and I don’t but it is still hard to look at the person whose hand ended her life.
Hugging Allie I hear her whisper in her ear “you got this and you're not alone William will always have your back.” nodding her head as tears run down her cheeks. Slipping my arm around Allie's waist as she pulls away from Kim. Kim looks at me “well this is it big guy. Next time we talk I will be a mated she-wolf. I will talk to hunter about an alliance with you. Hopefully we can work together and find the rogue king and end this soon.” with a nod to her I pat her shoulder. I am happy for my friend but I am also happy I don’t have to pretend to see her does not hurt. She gets in her little red car and waved goodbye.
Once we could no longer see her tail lights we all headed our own way. Some to training some to their jobs. As for me and Allie, I had other plans. I know it's still early but we marked and mated a month ago she has gone through her first heat and she is not with a pup. I am not pushing her to have one but we are not practicing not having one either. By all accounts, the night we marked and mated should have been the night she became pregnant. So we are heading to the medical wing. I feel Allie tense next to me as we walk. “everything will be okay.” looking down at her smiling. She looks up with a worried look tears lace her eyes. Stopping me in my tracks pulling her to me. “talk to me little one.” grabbing my hand tugging me along “when we are all alone okay?” I can feel the worry and fear coming off her. Even if I wasn’t bonded to her I would feel it. Nodding we start walking again.
Sitting in the room waiting for a doctor to come in Allie is rubbing her arm where they took blood and other pokes and prods. Looking a million miles away. “I wish you would talk to me.” her eyes snapping to me. “I don’t know it may be nothing, but I was just wondering what the pills were they made me take and it made it so I cant have pups. It would be like my brother to do something like that.” she spits the last out with a sneer on her face. She is showing how strong she really is. “what pill?” “Brent and Shelia made me take a pill every day and after being” she waves her hands in front of her. I nod getting what she is talking about. “I wonder what it was?” thinking out loud. She shrugs as there is a knock on the door.
The door opens to reveal Dr. Locke. “alpha Luna” she bows her head. We bow back., “let's look at your blood work shall we?” she says as she opens the file in her hand. She gasps her eyes shooting up to Allie and back down at the paper. “so I don’t know how to tell you but your system is flooded with silver and wolfsvaine. Do you know how it got there?” “my brother.” is all she said. I have a strong feeling it was in the pills. “can you purger her system of the poisons? Would they affect her ability to have or carry pups?” I know this is weighing on both our minds. “maybe help from the coven when they get here and ill start doing some research on antidotes for liquid silver and wolfsvaine. Once I have something I will send it to your rooms. For now, let's push fluids vitamins healthy eating exercise anything that will cause both sweat and some bleeding, maybe the more your healing kicks in the better chance we have to get it out of your system. Will it be like this every time?” my heartbreaking at the thought of hurting her but it's true she was in so much pain it hurt to touch me yet she needed my touch at the same time. I had tried to not engage in mating while she was in that much pain but she can be persistent when she wants to. We only mated twice both times I let her do all the work to help keep the pain down. “Allie was in so much pain will it be like that every time?”
