Chapter 65

I can feel the fear so deep it’s like drowning. The slow drip of the leaky faucet taunted me like the second hand on a clock. Praying for whatever my brother has planned.

The door is thrown open and my brother comes in holding a red lace something see-through. “Wash up and put this on. Then sit here and be a good girl. Do you understand?” He glares at me. Nodding I wait for him to leave. The sting of his fist met my cheek. My lip sliced open when it slid across my teeth. The taste of rust flooded my mouth making me want to gag.

“I didn’t hear you” he spits. “yes sir” I slowly whisper. Pushing me back against the bed. “good. now get clean up you got ten minutes. The rogue king, better be happy when he leaves.”

Sliding off my bed I grab the lacy red see-through nightgown. It’s edged in red silk and has a pretty floral pattern. If it was so pretty I’d hate it less. Take my wash rag I scrub my body all over. Drying off I slip the nothingness on and shiver in the cold as I wait for my doom.

The door opens “as promised alpha Jamison she’s been saved just for you.” “good. My beta Jackson will be here soon send him in when he arrives won’t you.” The tall red-eyed man smirks as he shuts the door. He’s tall with dark hair. His square jaw makes him attractive, for an older wolf. He’s old enough to be my father. Does he have a daughter? Would he like this to happen to them? Would he care? The red glow of his eyes tells me everything I need to know. “telly kitten do you know what this pattern is called?” shaking my head he stops me by pinching my chin between his thumb and forefinger. Raising a brow at me. “no sir?” smiling and nodding “it's called the black rose my mother designed it. It looks mouthwatering on you.” With that, the nightgown is ripped off and I’m in my back.

The room spins around and around so fast that I feel like I’m gonna throw up. Throwing up in the toilet “my little wolf are you okay? Should I call doctor Locke? Allie talk to me?” setting back and looking up at a younger version of the man stole my innocence. His eyes are different though these are green like emeralds. Warm and caring. “yes I think are something that didn’t agree with me.” “I don’t know it’s been three days let’s just go see her okay peace of mind and all” nodding as I give in to the man who saved me. The man that loves me for me my mate my alpha. Alpha William Samuels.

The world spins around and around if I hadn't just emptied my stomach I would be spaying like a sprinkler. Stopping I see a movie in fast forward a young girl with long blonde hair pacing a room yelling from the looks of it. Alpha William Samuels talks fast to her as she places. I can’t hear them but it’s not a pleasant conversation. The girl suddenly throws her hands up in the air storming off. Coming back holding a small bundle. Bouncing as she walks around the room still upset. The alpha says something with a stone set to his face. Her face washed over blank for a second then she’s smiling up at him. Her whole state changes in a second.

The room starts spinning again around and around. Streaks of colors create a glowing rainbow around me. Stopping suddenly I feel dizzy as I stumble back and forth. Blinking a few times I see the girl and the alpha staring at each other a guy that looks like the girl stands behind her a needle to her neck. Shelia stands next to the alpha. He nods to the guy and he stabs the needle in her neck. Holding his hand out Shelia places a small jar in his hand. Pulling the needle out of her neck the guy lets her fall to the ground. They share a few last words before the alpha drinks the potion. The hateful painful way he takes her over and over. Both were covered in cuts, bruises, and blood. The world going black finally as I feel the tears in my eyes. What did I just see?

A throbbing pain in the back of my head yanks me back from my dreams. The pain makes every sound even louder. The screeching of a large bird cuts through me like a knife. Groaning as I slowly open my eyes. The pink sky tells me the day is coming to an end. Rolling over to my side I slowly get up stumbling a little from the pounding in my head. Looking down I see a big rock with red-brown stains. Well, at least I won’t have a scar. And at least the baby is okay I guess. No good deed and all.

Making my way out of the sink hole I slowly get my bearings. Finding the trail I slowly make my way back to the castle gaining strength as I make my way.

Making it to the kitchen I plop down on a counter with a washcloth under the cold running water. “holy mother moon goddess alpha you startled me. Oh dear, what happened? Let me” Mary starts fussing over me washing the blood off the back of my head and neck. “ I fell saving a bull calf. His alpha bull thought I was too close I went backward hitting a rock.” “you know what they say can’t build a shelf without hurting your hand “ I want to tell her no you old bat I don’t know what that even means. But I know she means well so I just hum. Clicking her tongue and nodding she walks away to start a kettle of water. Pulling out a mug and a few jars of tea. Taking a pinch of one a spoon of another. The room soon fills with a sweet smell. “here you go it will help with the head pounding. The head takes the longest to heal when hurt. This will boost your healing a little “ “Mary?” she just smiled and walks out of the room. I knew I liked her.
