Chapter 48
Gasping as I jump out of bed. Looking around I remember I am in allies room. Looking down at her I see the distress on her face. Climbing back into the bed, pulling her to me trying to slowly wake her. Hearing her breathing even out as she starts to wake up. Feeling her tense up I let go of her. She relaxes almost immediately. “sorry” pulling her back to me “no need. But were you just having a nightmare one I don’t know if you ever want to talk about.” feeling her stiffen next to me “how?” she asks me tensing up, “I think I was in your dream. I was there but not there I couldn’t touch anything but I could feel the cold. I could see and hear everything. Was that real?” she nods looking away from me. I can feel the hot tear as it hits my chest. Running my fingers up and down her spine. “I wish I could hunt them down and kill them for what I saw. All I can do is love you and promise I will never do that to you. I am sorry that happened to you it shouldn't have. I think you are the strongest wolf I have met to live through that.” I never want her to feel what she went through is her fault or that I look down on her for it.
Slowly she looks up at me. “you don’t think less of me?” shocked at her question but then I feel the bond at full force. Her uncertainty and fear of my answer heavy on the bond. “never” kissing her forehead. Relief floods the bond. Looking at me I see a soft smile spread across her face. “I meant it when I found you I will never do anything to hurt you on purpose.” making sure she can feel the bond is heavy with my honesty. I swear I saw a violet glow in her eyes. I feel the pressure in my head telling me someone is trying to link me so I open up. “what it better be good?” I growl “fucking finally your awake I have been linking you every hour for the last three days. The doctors all said you two were fine.” shooting up looking around I then notice that I have shorts on and Allie has a tee on. Looking around I can't find my clothes or anything. What I do find is a couple of bottles of water and a note for us to drink them. Looking back at Allie I can see she is just as confused. “john said we have been out for three days.” her eyes widen in shock. She then jumps up sprinting to the bathroom. I hear a huge sign come from the bathroom. I then feel the pressure on my bladder telling me I am about to explode. I am about to do the pee-pee dance or run down the hall to a restroom when she comes out. I dash past her just making it to the toilet. I can't keep the moan from my mouth as I feel the pressure lessen. “sounds like how I felt” comes her voice and I have to chuckle. note to self doesn’t sleep for three days again.
Walking out of the bathroom in time to see Allie pull the shirt over her head. Lust and arousal flood me. Her head snaps back to me I am sure from the feelings from the bond. “we can play or we can eat” she pouts out at me. My stomach made up my mind. I am sure hers has made. Food my stomach wants food. I don’t have enough thought past that for a witty comeback. Like cant, I have fun and eat you at the same time. Nope, not this alpha goes weak at the thought of food and nods at his mate helplessly. She giggles making my heart skip a beat. She storms off into the closet mumbling something like “this man is hopeless I tell ya can't he see I’m wasting away?” smiling when shock floods her she whips back looking at me “did I say that out loud?” gasping covering her mouth I bark out laughing. A few more grumbles at my laughing and she shuts the closet door. “I am gonna go change maybe shower. Meet me for breakfast?” I know I could reach through the bond and feel for the answer but I wanted her to have that privacy. So I waited with bated breath. “yes give me twenty minutes to shower please?” letting the feeling of agreement flow through the bond. Heading out of the room to mine across their hall I see it looks like a war zone. Looking around I see the has been taken out. John walks in with a huge smile on his face then her tilts his head. Looking around trying to figure out what he is looking at. “your scent changed and I don’t mean like some of her scents is on you but you smell like this hybrid I met a few years ago.” it's my turn to cock my head looking at him funny.
John is pacing the room “did you touch anything in here?” I shake my head “good” he says before pushing me out of the room. “what the fuck man I need to shower and change.” “smell me what do you smell?” thinking this odd I do what he asks noticing the two smelled the same but off. “what the?” “no clue but there was a huge power bust shift spike punch something you get it three days ago. I am gonna go on a limb and say something happened to do the marking?” growling at him I know he is my best friend but some things just are for yourself. “no not that you perv. Like something weird. The pack bonds all seem to have strengthened more. Other wolves are reporting a feeling of different but the same. One little newly shifted girl lit her brother on fire. She threw a fireball at him. Ya man a fucking fireball. I had the doctors draw blood and run every test they can think of and any the coven can think of.”
