“You’ve had a long day. You need some rest come on.” Kai says as he pulls me out of the chair at the desk. Yawning I nod in agreement. Heading down to the alpha suite the whole pack is quiet. Walking through the door we find Kaleb standing in the middle of the kitchen looking lost. “Hey Kal what are you doing?” “My father’s room is empty. Like empty, empty. Not even a piece of trash. But look.” He points to the fridge. Sitting on top is uncle wills prized possession, Amara the doll. “what?” I whisper scream out as we stare at the old dirty well-loved doll. Its once-white jammies now have stains from chocolate and juice. For as long as I can remember this doll sat on the dresser in my uncle’s room. No one is allowed to touch it. It was my uncle’s first real toy given to him by Jasmine’s grandmother.
“there is no way uncle would leave this. Even uncle hunter would have grabbed it had they been the ones to clear their room out. What about my father’s room?” he shrugs “didn’t look. First I thought maybe they moved down to the delta suite but if so why is Amara sitting on the fridge?” before we could stop him Kai grabbed the doll pulling it off the fridge. As soon as he did a paper fell from under her and she poofed out of thin air.
Yelping jumping back Kai is staring at his hand where he had just been holding the doll. Picking up the paper as Kaleb rushes to Kai grabbing his hands and moving them around as he could just lift Kai's hands and the doll would reappear.

He brings his lips to my neck. His soft breath fanning over my neck shivers run down my spine. Melting back into him. Closing my eyes as I feel his left hand leave me to open the door. In a flash, he spins me pulling me to him. His hands resting on my lower back. My arms seem to have a mind of their own as they wrap around his neck.
“hi” he breathes out. My cheeks feel hot as I look up into his clear eyes. “hi” I repeat. His rosy pink lips pull up into a breathtaking smile. Had he not been holding me up I would be a puddle on the floor.
Bringing his hand to my cheek. Leaning into his touch. “beautiful. You more beautiful than I even dared dream for.” His voice is so full of awe and wonder. In one quick move, he picked me up. Wrapping my legs around his waist as he takes the few steps into the room. Shutting the door using me to finish pushing it shut as his lips land on mine.
