Chapter 53
I watch this huge wolf running around with pups like he is one. If he had such a harsh beginning and ended up like this maybe I won’t always be gross. The cows following close behind is a little unsettling I mean they could stompie me.
When we got about fifty yards away the wolf stood up straight and looked over at us. Looking down at a small boy he says something and then heads this way. The boy whistles and the group lines up and heads back the way we came. “He is sending them down to the kid's floor. It has play areas and games for them to play. The granny wolves will be there shortly with snacks.” Still trying to wrap my head around all these wolves living in one small house. I just can’t see it.
“Alpha” the wolf's deep husky voice comes out. I can almost feel his wolf trying to talk to mine. His eyes snap to me and flash black and green several times before he vows his head to me. “future Lune” I couldn’t keep the blush from showing on my pale skin. Tilting his head like he’s trying to figure something out.
“shift!” he demands taking me back some. Looking between the alpha and the big guy. I haven’t shifted in so long that I dought I can anymore. His growl comes from deep in his chest directed at me. Shaking in fear when he lunges for me. I don’t know what happened one second he’s rushing me the next he’s on his back with my white paws on his chest. Glaring down at him with my teeth bared drool dripping down my fangs. He starts to laugh.
Shocking me I tilt my head looking at this odd man. “uncle I call uncle.” He laughs out loudly holding his hands up palms out showing he’s not a threat. Stepping back confused. A pair of shorts dangle in front of me. “ here ya go shift back can’t link with you yet. Mike what the hell was that man?” he shifts his gaze from me to Michael.
“He’s wolf was hiding mine couldn’t reach his. I can feel he’s my next Lune or alpha mate in some places. But if he lost his wolf he wouldn’t be able to well slap my wolf if need be but also others would smell the death on him and know he’s an easy target. And with being so white already don’t need to add weakly.” Michael huffs out. “Well can we not do that again I’m not really up for fighting right now.” I huff out rolling my shoulders when both of them stop and stare at me. Then I remember the scars from Ren. Covering or trying to cover them but Ren carved her name in my chest pretty big with a silver blade.
“Remember that drink Ambrose gave me that washed my scars off?” Michael asked looking over my torso and all the scars. “I do. But he’s a little busy with Enoy. He stated she frightened him.” He nods as the alpha pulls his shirt over his head and hands it to me. “don’t worry kid if Ambrose likes you he will make those disappear faster than a bag of cinnybonnies in Enoy's reach.” They both start laughing. Taking the shirt from the alpha I see a black with glowing red. The base is three bleeding black roses hovering just above the crescent moon with a bow and arrow. I know the moon and bow and arrow is a symbols for the goddess Artemis. He said he lost his son his mate and the pup she was carrying I wonder if the bleeding roses are for them? I want to ask but I also don’t want to open up that wound.
“Your wolf is small, not weak. Those are two separate things. Meet me here at dawn we start training. Wear something comfortable be will be spending tomorrow on basic core building in human form. Don’t make me come find you.” He smirks and the alpha winks at me. “gotta go get some fresh peanut butter and pickle cinnybonnies. Jaz being pregnant makes out suite smell so yummy.” “it gets better Mary made the same things for Artemis you get used to the smell.”
Just the thought of that makes my stomach turn. Seeing my face he laughs louder “ just wait you’ll have it worse with Enoy she already has a co-dependency to those things now “ then he takes off leaving me standing there dumb-struck. It’s too early to think about pups. And her dad is right here. Oh man, I don’t know if I like Michael now. “let's pretend Michael didn’t just make things awkward for you.. he means it though if you're not at the gym at dawn he will come to find you. Don’t worry I’ll show you where it is and since you’ll be staying in Enoy room I’ll make sure your up. Come on let’s get you back to the alpha suite and get you settled in. Since you came here in a shirt and shorts and those were just destroyed I’ll get you my bank card you’ll need clothes. And before you say no it’s either use my bank card or wear Enoy clothes.” I had an augment on my tongue but the thought of wearing Enoy clothes wasn’t appealing to me. The alpha wins this time. I nod letting him know he won. “all the better I don’t think you have the curves for her clothes.” This made me laugh so hard that I choked. Making the alpha laugh.
making it back to the house I still can't wrap my head around so many wolves in this small house. that was until we got to the stairs that lead down into the earth. a feeling of home and welcoming rushed through me once we were completely underground. looking to the alpha for anything where this is coming from. "the pack house is blessed by Ambrose a long time ago. many who come here from other packs say the house welcomes those it finds worthy of the pack. by the look in your eyes you felt something" I just nodded.
