It’s a good thing the room is soundproof or Eris's screams would have set off alarms. Everyone but ros is chuckling at Eris. Both of them are staring wide eyes at Enzo.
“Delta mate Enzo you have perfect timing my man. How is Jas feeling?” Kaleb asks as I try and get myself under control. “What?” Ros screeches pointing at Enzo. Tilting his head and looking at them “the light one is not as quick as you lady e” looking over at them “master Kaleb is this not your other half as well and why do the gentlemen' downstairs shadows seem withered well, one the other seems to be in pain. Like yours master Kaleb.” Enzo says looking at Kal.
“Kal is your mate named Dean?” I link in a rush his eyes snapping to me tells me all I need to know. Shit. “Enzo take Kal to our suite and slide through the shadows please.” He nods and walks over to Kal. His eyes pleaded with me. “I will find out more stay in the suite. I will be down as soon as they leave with more answers.” I promise him. He nods letting Enzo slide downstairs with him.
“what just happened?” Eris screams as ros points to where Kal had just been standing. “Eris, tell me everything about Dean?” still staring where Kal had been “what do you want to know?” “First is he actually mates to the alpha's sister?” she shakes her head. “no it’s arranged. Tiffany had demanded he be mated to her. She wants pups and he has the look she wants to breed with. He was okay with it for a long time but lately, he’s been more down. He’s a good guy I like him. He’s on the short list of wolves I plan to save in the end. Why? And what was that?” she finishes by waving her hands in the air.
“That’s not how you will get fallen to let you hold our son’s prissy.” He says walking over and placing Vlad in rosemary’s arms. Her sad face lights up looking down at the little beta. Eris gets a sad pout looking at ros as max brings Tul over to her. “oh Maxy they are so breathtaking. You and your mate make stunning pups.” She breathes out ros nodding beside her. “can dean be trusted? And why would someone from this pack your in reject a fated mate?” I ask.
“oh, several reasons. Paul orders it or same-sex or high-ranked mated to low-ranked. Or he simply does not like how his mate looks. Why?” “go back to same-sex matches.” I demand pulling at the strip of leather around my neck. “well they have a rule of no same-sex mates stupid and I hate it. If the goddess wanted us with someone then that’s where we are supposed to be. When he finds his mate I hope he accepts and rubs away before they can corrupt him more.” She says in the baby talk just before she kisses Tul’s nose.
“Why?” she glances up at me. “what if I said he found and rejected his mate?” “well it would explain his acceptance of the match to this sad state he’s been in. why would he do that?”
“say he’s mates to a ranked member of a pack but that ranked member is also male?” “Well, I had a feeling he likes both just the way he accepted the pairing with that cunt but also checked guys out at the rodeo. He has a thing for silver eyes I think?” she winks at me. Rolling my eyes. Of course, he has a thing for silver eyes his mate has them. “don’t let him mate with that bitch. I want you to convince that douchebag, Paul, to send dean here as a spy or to get extra training to be your guard. Tell him there has been a threat to the Samuels and that some crazy alpha plans to challenge me for the title of alpha of the black rose. And anyone that has a claim of the pack. Meaning you will be in danger if they make it through me. If you did appear he loses his foothold here. Trust me all that shit stain wants is this pack and land he will do it.”
An evil glint twinkles in her eye “sister what do you have planned.” “I plan to turn your dean into my dean with the help of Kaleb. Not only will I save a fated pair but will gain a way into that pack that does not put you two in the spotlight. No one will suspect him as being a double agent.” I smirk at her.
A pounding on the door tells me our time is up. We all nod and fallen go to open the door. In walk both John and Dean. We all watch as dean walks in his shoulders stiffen as he looks up and around. Is that hope and fear in his eyes? Good. Looking at Eris to see if she saw with her smirk I know she saw it too.
“Luna we must be off if we are to make it home in time.” John address Eris the words are respectful the tone is not so much. The young dean looks at me doing a double take before looking back at Eris. His eyes widen. Not once did John look at me or address me. He did look to the max “alpha I apologize for my rudeness but alpha Paul has a schedule to keep.” He bows at max. The sneer on max face has me covering my mouth. Looking at me I just nod. Let them think he’s alpha.
Eris kisses the boys one more time along with rose before handing them over to max and fallen. “I will be back to help with driving the herd down for sorting and marketing. Will you have jenny work dancer for the coming show?” I nod trying to keep my face neutral. Eris pulled a dancer from shows this year to breed her. What show is coming up? I will have to look. “of course will you be meeting Jenny there or here?” “ill let you know if I need Jenny to ride for me or not later?” smirking I nod. She’s telling me when she wants to be home. Then she looks at Dean. “it's come to my attention that my sister and myself are under threat. Dean stays here to gain some extra training along with helping to find the threat so it can be taken care of before it’s an actual problem. I will explain it to Paul. Anything you need I’m sure my sister can provide for your stay here.” “yes Luna.” He nods and steps back. Rushing to hug me ros and Eris leave.
As soon as the door shut behind them max blacks the door. “I’m going to give you a chance to do the right thing. I can make your life hell for a few days making you see Kaleb hall walking around shirtless sweaty not ever close enough to touch him. See him go on dates “ I didn’t get to finish before he starts growling. “ or you can work with us and see if you can fix things with him your choice.”
