Running to the border where the alarm is going off I find no one. Odd. Sniffing around again I find anyone, not a scent out of place. Confused I start looking around I am sure I look like an overgrown dog chasing his tail but I am trying to find a scent that does not belong. And nothing. Linking everyone that it was a false alarm. “father the alphas want to meet with you.” Eris links with a groan I link back “take them to my office ill be there shortly. I'm sorry your party ended on this.” “no worries daddy I was ready for the party to end myself no mate and I am so ready for this spoiled-ass princess to get out of my space. If she says one more thing about how her ballroom overlooks a real garden I'm gonna end here and the Winters line.” “unless you plan to off you and your sister there will always be some winter's blood running around.” I snicker back with a frustrated growl “I am a Samuels, not a stupid winters thank you very much. I might even make my mate take Samuels just because I can.” I can feel the heat coming off her. “princess I didn’t mean it as a bad thing you and your sister are half your mother and she was probably the best winters so be proud you are half her.” “I am very honored she was my mother but from what I heard about her she was a Samuels by heart.” chuckling I cut the link.
Making my way back I link Ty “hey can you start closing down the ballroom and sending people to their suites?” I get an um huh feeling telling me he's on it even if he's not happy about it. Just before I hit the tree line a sour smell hits me. Lifting my nose I follow the scent. “alpha?” I get in my head in question “do you smell that?” I link back “smell what?” looking over my back end I see them all standing still muzzles in the air or on the ground looking for a scent. Why can I smell something sour and they can? When all of a sudden the world is cut off. Like I am in a bubble all outside sounds cut off. “alpha you know the time why do you delay?” shifting to speak back. “you know why I can very well follow along with things the way they are. Give me another year.” “that is not the plan and you know it?” “very well one year more than you must do what is expected.” “agreed.” just as fast the bubble around me is gone. Annoyed I growl out staking to the pack house. A young warrior tosses a pair of shorts at me. With a nod, I slip them on and head inside.
Making it to the office I can almost feel the alphas in there trying to outrank each other with aura alone. But it's my pack and my pack lands so I let my aura slip out before I open the door. A hush falls over the alphas as I see them straining not to submit to me. “are you all done with your aura pissing match?” with nods I pull back my aura I can hear the rush of air being sucked into my lungs. Making it to my desk I take a seat. “first I want to apologize for the sudden end to the ball. Second, it was a false alarm a rogue passing by tripping over the border nothing to worry about. Every wolf here is safe.” I can see the acceptance as I speak. Looking back at hunter he's glaring at me. He knows when I am lying and when I am not. We have lived together in the alpha suite for years there is no hiding anything from him or will. I give him a look I hope he understands. Meaning we will talk later. “and you let the rogue go?” “she posed no threat what do you suggest I do murder her for no reason?” I sneer out annoyed my decision was being questioned on my land.” “she could be a threat later should have eliminated a threat.” “she was not a threat. She is barely a rogue. I spoke to her she is heading to a pack her sister was mated to a few years ago. Her parents were killed in an ambush. So does she sound like a threat to you?” letting my aura slip in my anger. Okay so there was no rogue but still, I am not in the habit of just killing wolves for no reason.
“Okay if this small red-haired rogue becomes a problem for any of your packs I will personally come and fix my error in judgment. I will make sure whatever damage the rogue does is repaired to prior or better.” letting them all think it over. When all five alphas nod I stand and hunter opens the door. “please take tonight to rest before you all head back to your packs. If you need anything let jenny know. She will make sure you have everything you need. Awe here she is now.” jenny coming to the door looks at me with an odd look. Why did I ask one of my top warriors to come to place an escort? Simple she has a sixth sense when it comes to others. She instantly can tell if someone plans to do something good or bad she can't tell until it happens. She just gets a feeling that someone is planning something sneaky. Where did this come from? I think it's one of the elemental gifts that have been showing up or maybe there was a witch in her family somewhere. The research I have done is a form of empathetic power. Jenny is one of the Enoy top spare partners. They both practice in the alpha ring to eliminate their powers. Though I have watched them practice out of the alpha ring as well. The only person I have seen Enoy practice out of the ring with the most. Enoy can sense something in her opponent and jenny can feel when she's gonna attack. They are perfect for sparing. Unlike the elementals, the girls can not shut off their gifts so jenny always knows everything. Enoy and Eris let's just say thank the goddess they learned to control well Eris more than Enoy. I think this is because Enoy unlike Eris both takes in the energy of the fight and spins it amplifies it and throws it back out. Eris can feel the emotions and feelings she wants and then pulls them to her to twist. Eris does not fight she doesn't need to she could stop a grown man in a matter of seconds without touching him. Enoy not only feeds on the violent nature of a fight but the bloodier it is the stronger she seems to get. the way I see it is the more fighting and bloodshed the more she absorbs. And then with her bracelet, it slowly siphons it off. But if without her bracelet as much as she takes in she pushes out. She could make father and son fight to the death without them even seeing the other. She blinds them in a rage a blood lust. I know the bracelet is starting to fail as the warriors in training if too close to her fighting start to get rougher.
My girls are gonna be great leaders one day.
