Chapter 54
All I can see on Allie's face is pain and panic. Taking her hand rubbing my thumb over the back of her hand trying to send her some comfort. I know we are going to have to have a long talk about options later. I know it was only seconds between me asking my question before the doctor answered, but it felt like a lifetime. “this is totally new to me, to be honest. So this is going to take a lot of trial and error. I would like to take steps to prevent pregnancy until all the poisons are out of your body and your 100 percent.” looking between us. I can see the hint of fear at what she just said to us. the scent of salt whispers in the air. Allie squeezes my hand. I don’t want to say I know what she's thinking but I know what she's thinking. Alphas have to have an heir, and this is true. I refuse to think there is no hope.
“what do you want to do?” Ally's soft voice was just above a whisper. My heartbreaking for her again. Why did she have to put through this? “I want to put you on birth control. This not being something we wolves really do. I am going to make a call to the coven to see what they can do. I would like you to start taking strong vitamins. I will have them sent to your rooms later. We don’t have what I want you to take so we have to create them. Or it's taking ten of the over-the-counter ones.” both of us shaking our heads who want to swallow one of those horse pills let alone ten of them. And with all the filler to hold them all together I shudder at the thought. “I want you to start having three meals with a snack between. With added protein.” this is a diet I had already started Allie on. When she asked to be trained I had instead of on this diet. She needed the extra calories. What the doctor says next has hope bloom in my chest and I know Allie is feeling the same. “if we can rid your body of the poisons and get you healthy all the rest of the tests show promise for being able to have pups. But if we cant get the poisons out I don’t think your heat will lessen either. So I would like you to come back in a week to check your blood again.”
The doctor sets the file down and does all the tests all doctors do. Deep breath, does this hurt? You know the drill. Noting that Allie has gained some fat and muscle mass since she has arrived. Allie’s skin is starting to have that healthy sun-kissed glow to it. She looks so different from the girl I found in a pit of dead bodies. Deciding this has been a long enough day I link john “hey can you order something for dinner and popcorn and those gross gummy things Allie likes and have it taken to my room?” “is it a need ice cream and cookies kind of bate?” making me roll my eyes at his stupid word for a stay-in date. This is why he has two year and two-week-old twins. “you know what yes it is chocolate chip and chocolate peanut butter chip.” cutting the link off. My eyes fully clear just in time to see Allie pull her shirt over her head putting it back on. It's a sad sight. Grandma in bikinis, old wrinkly grandmas in skimpy bikinis. I repeat over and over in my head. This is not the time or place for the thoughts that started to creep in. The bright blush on Allie's cheeks tells me she felt my spike of lust.
Leaving the clinic we head slowly to our room. Allie’s grip on my hand so tight her knuckles are white. “why are we heading to the house?” looking down I smile “I figured we needed bate.” hating myself for saying it but the smile on her face made it worth it. “with ice cream?” I nod smiling at her when john links “and yes I got the milk?” confusing me all of about half a second. “oh and milk?” her eyes wide with hope shining through them. Oh, he’s good. “of course my love.” linking john back “dude, you saved me thanks. I owe you.” “ya ill be collecting on that this Friday the terrible three are all yours I want to try for number four.” cutting the link before he can say more. Fear covers my body like a thick fog. So think even I would have hit the ice burg. “what's wrong?” “I have to babysit the three demons Friday night cause john wants to try for number four.” gasping she starts chocking on-air shaking her head. “no no no. How do we stop a fourth three of them is enough?” slapping my arm laughing at me. I want to glare at her but I can't. She hasn’t known the bramudia triangle of toys that long. She's only ever seen the sweet look at the Luna with stars in their eyes angels. If I didn’t know better I would think my best friend was playing a really long game joke on me but nope that's how it is. You’re an angel in front of the Luna. You seek the love and affection of the Luna. The Luna is that soft touch of love that keeps your heart warm and beating. How do I know she brings that out in others well that's because she did that to me when she opened her eyes in that pit. In those big blue eyes, she stole my breath and gave me the world.
The closer we get to our room the scents of popcorn and pizza fill the hall. My mouth-watering at the spicy scent of pepperoni pizza and melted butter. This is why I would be a container on my 600 lbs life if I was human.
