This pack is going to end soon. I feel like my blood is boiling. Ros elbows me so I look over. She’s signing “need alone when home.” Agreeing I already have a plan. I know my pack and our lockdowns. Since my father’s gone missing the lower levels Are closed to anyone, not in the pack. We have a few guest rooms above ground that are mostly for show but can be used in a pinch.
We will be stopped at the border. They will link for entrance. The permission is not for myself or ros but for the two in front. When they look in the back I can signal for a lockdown. This will trigger the warrior to link me but since Eris is in my body he will get her or max. He will tell them that Eris somehow knows the new lockdown code and is at the border. Eris with the help of max put the pack on lockdown. The pantry where the door to the lower levels will close so it looks like a pantry, not stairs.
If I know fallen she will refuse to let these two men near her pups. So ros and I will be escorted to the office and those two to the kitchen. They will be given a snack and watched closely. In the office, I will lock the door and trigger the spell for complete privacy. Then we will switch back and I will get to the bottom of what the hell is going on. So I sit back and wait for us to arrive. Staring out the window a thought crosses my mind. Why didn’t I know she was coming over today? And why are they playing mates? I can see that ros hates Jesse. Making it to the border we are stopped. But the guard didn’t check the car just waves it through. Making not to have this guard vetted again. When the car stopped in front of the house I see rose standing out front. Odd. The doors are opened and we exit the car. “Eris it’s been forever I swear.” Rose squeals running down the stair. Wrapping me in her arms she whispers. “play along.” So I wrap my arms around her making the same annoying squeal. Rose lets go of me and repeat this with ros. “cone hurry, hurry you have to meet the boys. Oh hi sorry if you two are hungry the kitchen is that way but this a family affair you know.” She bats her lashes at them making a pouty face. My best friend the drama queen. Huffing the guy's nod and head to the kitchen as we head to the stairs.
In the office, the door is shut and locked. Seeing the room full. Kaleb is standing next to me well my body his chest heaving. “Kal what’s going on?” “why? How did you find him? Why is he here?” “Who?” the room asks. But the look in his eyes tells me who. “Kal breathes okay it will be okay. He will be gone soon I promise.” Holding my hands up trying to soothe him. “can you please switch back this is too weird?” max says. Nodding I look at myself and twist the ring. Blinking I am now looking at Eris. My stomach is rolling and my breast hurt. My whole body feels achy.

She talked back to Jesse so he slipped her a mute potion it will be done tomorrow.” Spinning to fallen Eris rushes over “okay gimme, gimme. I want to hold them in my own arms before we have to leave. No, I hope you got all you could cause I won’t be able to do that again for a while. I will be on lockdown for two weeks when we get back to the pack.” She tells me as she picks up one of the boys.

Okay, go in dad’s room on his nightstand should be a journal read it.” The way she talks and avoids things makes me wonder why. Reaching up to rub the back of my neck. I feel a thick leather strap around my neck. Feeling along it looking for the clasp when I can’t find one. Pulling it won’t stretch or break. Trying to tap into my magic I can’t. “what? Nothing I swear.” Eris gulps looking around. The room darkens blinding me. Sniffing the air I attempt to turn toward Enzo’s scent. But I’m frozen. Taking a few deep breaths clearing my mind. “lady e the stolen requested I inform you he will be back he wanted to see who is heading to the winters castle.
