Chapter 29
William pov
“the pack your mother came from developed a way to induce a heat and fertility. The alpha made your mother take it and then gave her to Brent for payment of something. The alpha had planned on your mother having his pup in hopes of having something to control Brent. Things backfired when Brent waved off the pregnancy and said to just kill it.” the shock and horror of someone willing to kill a pup is no wolf. Wolves are family orientated and to hurt our mate or pup can cause us to lose our humanity.
Looking over to Philip “I know that sounds shocking but taking in who that man is I wouldn't put anything past him. The things he did to your mother I can never forgive him for. He also took my sisters and now yours.” now the whole room gasps. “I thought?” Phil starts but stops as his eyes shoot to the paper in my hand. Holding it out to him along with with pictures taped to it. My daughters tied up in their pajamas. Fear is easy to see on their faces. The note just says “tag your it.”
Phil take it going pale as he sees his sisters. Dropping them to the ground as he just stares at the falling paper. Tyler lunges for it grabbing it before hit hits the ground. Looking down he gasps and his eyes shoot to mine.
Unlike the rest of us Philip and Tyler just found out the girls were dead now we all are finding out they are not dead, but taken. The anger that we all are feeling have the air in the office thick. Opening a window to air it out before we continue talking about what we are up against. As we began talking again the room fills with mist. A soft pop sound fills the room right before the mist vanishes and Ambrose is standing in the middle of the room. “Ambrose, what do we owe the honor my friend?” “magic was done here the alarm spell I used went off letting me know some one used magic on the property. Well someone not of your pack that is.” flipping his hands around. Looking at him I again wonder how old he is. For as long as I have known him he has looked like a 23 year old man. His light hair now down to the small of his back. Flowing all round him in a wind only he can feel. His eyes tell a different tale. They are the darkest of black. Its like looking into a bottomless pit no light can escape. He had once been a prisoner of my grandfather then my fathers. My father let him out of the cell but kept him bound to the land and us some how for the remainder of his sentence. Only Ambrose knows how long he was in the cell before my father let him out. I grew up with Ambrose making friends with him along the way. To this day he is still a good friend of mine and I hope for Phil to have the same friendship with him. When my father took over as alpha he and Ambrose began their friendship during this friendship my father had asked him if there was spells that could protect the land and people on it. Or if there was a way to block magic to even the field on our land.
Ambrose had set wards to prevent magic to be used but that only works on lower magic users. Stronger smarter magic users could alter or break the wards. But Ambrose said they bent the wards trying not to notify him of their presence. But they didn’t know about the ward I put up last time I left with the fae that are here. We all pooled our magic so any magic used here that is not directly linked to one of us will alert me.” waving his hands around then poof a long neck flute style glass filled with a glowing gold liquid swirls inside. Taking a sip he looks around the room. “what?” he asks. Tyler just holds the paper up. Ambrose flicks his fingers bringing the paper to him. He takes a second to read it before his eyes snap up to mine then to Philip and William. Looking back at me in question. Shaking my head at the unspoken question. “do they know what he did?”
“what?” Philip demands. Looking around at everyone in this room. I knew at some point I would have to tell the boys about the rogue king and Brent. How I found and lost Allie. How do I put this into words. Looking around at a loss when Ambrose clears his throat. Looking at him he seems to have a twinkle in his eye. “if I may with the help of miss Breena and her mother the lovely Jillian and her brother Kevin being the strongest magic welders in their line. I could cook up a potion that will help share the memories you wish to share with the pups. They will not only see the memories but feel what you felt during them. Also if I could have miss Amber help as well as I am guessing she has some knowledge of the Brent . anyone else with closer personal knowledge would be most helpful. Also young William I know you now know who your sire is, so if I may have a bit of your blood to help with fine tuning my potion?” I can see William flinch when Ambrose mentions Brent's name and association to him. Before I can say anything Philip crosses the room placing his hands on will’s shoulders looking him in the eye “you are my family not his. You and I both share blood with him but we also share it with my mother. That is the bond we share my mother and her love of us and this pack. You are more then he will ever be. I will give you his head. You are my brother from yesterday until tomorrow do you understand?” the power in Phil's words move even me. Looking at will I see the gloss of the wetness building up in his eyes. He nods still looking at Phil. Closing his eyes he leans his head forward Phil meeting his forehead with his. “you can take as much of my blood as you need master Ambrose.”
The deep chuckling of Ambrose draws our attention “master Ambrose I like it. Thanks pup.” with a snap of his fingers a small vial appears and fills with a thick red liquid. “that should do it if I need more ill come find you.”
