Once Ty calms down I look him in the eye. “she will be mad until she is in the same room as Matt. Remember the bond breaking will overrule that. She will have time to grieve. Remind her that Artemis is a princess she probably spend many years slipping guards it is my fault for the oversight.” he nods in understanding. Linking will “will report” “she's stopped at a town three hours from the edge of the western boarder. Um, something is wrong with her. She didn’t shift and the scratches from the bushes are not healing. Are you sure you just want me to watch her?” the worry-heavy voice. “no her wolf is in deep hiding. so she's pretty much human right now. Just watch her until I get there. Keep her safe please?” I ask knowing he above anyone else in the pack I will ask if he has seen me at my lowest and weakest. Helped me grow into the man I am he is family. “she will be fine see you soon.” cutting the link.
Doing the math in my head. Three hours west of will is almost six hours drive. Without her wolf running is out. Okay so If I run then I will have three hours before a truck can be there to drive us back. This will work. “Ty drive to the small town six hours from our west border. I link Will for the town name or location. I will meet you there.” with a smirk knowing he wont have to deal with Sky as she's about to be home. He left the office so fast you would have thought his ass was on fire. having Kavin and hunter go through everything she did bring along with tracking all her online dealings and accounts. I won't be taking from her but tracking her and figuring out a pattern just in case she does slip by again. This will narrow down where she will go and put us in front of her. Also, I want to make sure she can buy what she needs.
Heading out the back I strip shift and bolt to the western border. Shifting through my pack links until I find Will’s I pull on it just tight enough for it to lead me to him. A skill I had just recently discovered. I can feel all my pack links inside me and the stronger the relationship with the wolf the easier I can find the bond. If the bond is strong enough I can pull on it and it will lead me to them. Not so much as go left or go right. It's not head east for six hours. It's more of a tug in my chest. The bond heads come closer together. Feels like an elastic band. Letting my wolf-side takeover and run to our brother I fall to the back of my head to think about the best way to deal with Artemis.
My wolf is eager to get to our mate and cut the run time down by half an hour. Coming up on the right side of will he doesn't break his watch of the hotel. “she hasn’t moved or left. Good luck. I am gonna head home to Hunter if you don’t need me.” I nod my head and nuzzle his neck. Nuzzling me back before he turns and heads home. Watching the room for a while longer before I shift and dress. Linking the warriors still here to keep an eye out and stay hidden the drill is still going until we are back at the pack house. Shifting through the links here I find Matt Skylar, mate. Linking him “Matt sky will need you at home after this. take the lead of the team here once we head home you have the next week off to be with Sky.” his worried voice comes back to me “alpha? What's wrong with sky?” “our parent's bonds snapped earlier shes spelled to not feel it until you are with her. So she's fine now but once she sees you the spell breaks. It was the best we could do for.” I can feel the sorrow through the link before he shuts it down and becomes the warrior he needs to be. I have been looking for a new warrior head since the last rogue attack took Shawn. This will be a good test for him to see if he can handle being will and hunters second.
Walking from the woods to the door of the hotel. Entering I smell a wolf. Not a pack wolf but not a rogue either. Confused I look at the clerk. Her eyes widen seeing me. Fear fills the air. Holding my hand up “please don’t fret I am not here for you. I am curious about your story but you seem to be no threat so just some questions from one of my pack warriors nothing more. And the room number for Artemis winters.” she lowers her eyes and nods. Her fingers dance on the keyboard a look of confusion cross her face. “I don’t have her in the registry? What does she look like?” “she's about your height but sickly thin and smells more human right now than of wolf. Golden eyes of the royals with the long black hair the color of the night sky.” she gasps then starts clicking again. “she said her name was Emma Wilson. Room 4 on floor 6. I thought she looked familiar but not so at the same time.” she smiles at me. “thank you” looking down at her name take “Klara. One of my warriors will be in soon to talk with you just some basic stuff if you're not a threat we will leave you live as you please.” smiling she nods the fear still in the air but less now. Sliding a few large bills on the counter for her “thank you for your help. No one knows we were here.”
Pushing the money back she nods. Shaking my head I leave the money and head to the stairs. Taking my time walking up to the sixth floor. Gathering my words to talk with her letting all my anger leave me knowing it will not be helpful.
