“oh it’s enoooo can’t win.” Brittany sneers. Not saying anything as Kai turns. His pale eyes meet mine and I had to catch myself from rushing toward him. I can see the strain in him as well.
“Oh please bitch my girls let you win this little rodeo every year. I bet you never looked past your own points.” Rose snaps back. “Prove it.” She smirks as she loops her arm through Kai’s. Before he can react she tries to pull him away. “Winner gets Kai. Name the event Brittany?” Eris happily sings out as she hopped over. “Oh, No the truck with Omen on it just arrived. Kai, be a dear, and help unload and ready Omen while I settle the terms and event.” Eris bats her eyes at Kai and me in a let’s play way. Rolling my eyes I turn and head to the stall area. I can feel Kai close behind. Slowing just enough for him to catch up. He slips his hand in mine and the sparks had both of us clutching the other hand stumbling to each other. “I missed you.” He whispers just loud enough for me to hear. Looking over I mouth “ me too”. There was and is no reason for either of us to whisper or be quiet. Other than I lost my voice for a little while.
“James what are you doing? Does your mother know where you are? Did Eris put you up to this?” I almost scream at the thirteen-year-old boy. Okay, a wolf so he looks a bit older but still, we live in an area most people have an idea who lives around here. “Tommy is on security this year. And you can drive the truck back. Taking a big whiff I smell nothing. Looking behind her I see Enzo walking over. “oh guy this is Enzo. He’s a friend that’s gonna spend some time at the pack. Enzo this is max his partner Fallen who seems to be.. . How long was I gone?” staring wide-eyed at this very very pregnant girl. I don’t know how she’s gonna have this pup if she’s still got a lot of time to cook. She’s not having a pup she’s having a toddler. Dang. “we will explain later” max links just as Fallen flung her bag up to Max. moving to grab it knocking into Enzo who fell on jas. If I had been watching I would have seen it. But I wasn’t. He didn’t. What happened was so much better. Jas helped Enzo snap his eyes to her as his hand touched hers. A small burst of light flashed and was gone. The next word spoken was Eris. “she's chosen broncs. But she wants her father to draw you rides. So better get running I also signed you for the entire women's event and most of the males. You naughty girl.” Enzo’s eyes start to glow and I grab for that anger. I found that when ambrose altered me a little my gift changed from explosive to a syphon. I say holding my hand to him. his smile is so big and bright I can't stop from returning it. I didn't realize just how much I missed this wolf before this moment. I start feeling warm all over. my lower half warming as I look at kai sniffing the air I can only smell kai. shaking my head blinking "erissssss" I growl. blinking in shock she shakes her head.
