Hades pov
Over the last week, the silver melted down soaking into the surface of the earth and seeking down past the level it would affect me. True to his word Ryan brought large rats for Maddie. Cerebus has stayed close and now is watching over the castle for a long with Deimos and Phobos. I can hear their cries when they pass.
Clint was the first to spot Phobos with his glowing white feathers he’s not the best at hide and seek. “Did you see that huge white bird thing Ry?” “No pops but I believe you. I swear I saw a huge black demon with red eyes on the hill the other night. Maybe the Luna’s crazy leaked through the pack?”
“It's not crazy. You both saw what you saw. I can explain them but first, who are you loyal to?” “Once it was the winters but they have slowly been losing their minds over the last few generations. So to be honest I have no clue who I’m loyal to.”
“Why do you stay?”
“pride I guess. My family has been in this pack for as far back as the winters. And my Linda, she was hurt pretty bad. Never healed right so she can’t travel.” Thinking over what they said a quiet blankets the area. “who are you loyal to rogue?” “awe but I’m no rogue. Just playing one. Not even Gregory Wilkens is a rogue. He’s an alpha. He has been alpha Gregory of the rising moon pack for… oh let me see…..fifteen-ish years.” I tell them.
“What? I mean I don’t dought he was meant. I mean he was a good guy. If your not him which I knew the second you came in here you are not my brother-in-law. So who are you?” Clint demands. There was no anger in his demand just concern for his family. “he's family to me as well. If you were offered a chance to leave here safely for all four of you would you?” “depends could you get me to my brother?” “yes.” “then I would leave right this second.” He says so fast I can’t help but smile.
“I am not done here but I could use your help. There is a room just across from me. A hidden room built into the castle it seems. The winter liked secrets. Anyways down there are three feral and dangerous rogues. They have been trained and conditioned to crave wolves. If they were to get out it could be dangerous. Now I could do it myself but I can’t touch the bars as they are too hot and would crumble. And I need them to look solid for now. If you could help me I can get you and your family out of this pack and heading to the rising moon pack under the protection of the black rose pack.”
The smiles that grew on their face was a surprise. I had thought id hear a gasp because of the black rose and winters feud. But they seem to enjoy this turn. “how?” “easy I send Cerebus to inform Ambrose and my mother.” “your mother?” taking the ring off and slipping it into my pocket letting the spell fade away. “I do apologize. I am Hades Skadi future alpha of the black rose pack. My mother is alpha Enoy Skadi daughter of princess Luna Artemis winters.” Letting my eyes glow.
They both bow. Waving my hand laughing. “I think we are passed vowing don’t you?” Ryan is trying hard not to laugh as Clint looks like he swallowed something sour. “id I asked you who you are loyal to now?” they looked at each other and then at me “you.” Laughing “how about we start with mother I’m so not ready to l be the boss yet I’m just an intern.” Ryan starts choking from trying hard not to laugh.
“What do you need to be done down there and how long before I need to pack?” “need them eliminated lots of things in there just spill it all. And just pack important non-replaceable things. I will send the three stooges home for Ambrose. Between him and my sister, the wards and borders will never trip. They will mist your mate and daughter back to the pack I’m sure one of our healers could help your mate. You two will have to stay here just until it’s time for me to leave then we will go together.” Ryan’s eyes glaze over I’m sure linking his mother as Clint walks to the wall. “are you sure there is a door I have never seen in here?” “press the long gray block in the center of the four tan blocks.” He does and the door swings open.
“mother and Jenna are going through the rooms for family photos and such. I will cut the feed from here.” He rushes to the desk area. Clint heads down I can hear the three in the room wanting to be released and let out. Then the screams. Slipping the ring back on I lay down on the cot. Maddie scurries back to lie on my chest. Sending the command to Cerberus for him to get Ambrose and Nyx. Once close enough I can link with Nyx and tell her my plan.
I found the room the other day when the wires and cables going to it started to heat leaving a train to the room. I burned the lines cutting off all power to the room. I could burn all the wires leaving this place in the dark but I’m trying to not be caught.
Clint came back up and pulled the door closed. Just to make sure I directed spill-off heat down there turning it into an oven. The next time my dear cousin comes down will be the day we leave. I found my way into this pack and take back what is rightfully my mother’s.
Closing my eyes letting the soothing darkness tempt me to sleep I wonder how my pet project is coming along. I will have to ask mother when I see her.
I had my reasons for wanting to be here for a moment in time. I wanted to touch my cousin and read her. And as I had thought from the age of ten I started seeing a glow in my mother’s eyes and mine. I read Ambrose I knew about the orb. I also found that my grandmother was the rightful alpha of alphas. She passed the title to my grandfather when she was murdered. When my grandfather died taking out the master or better known as Azazel he passed the alpha of alpha to my mother. My mother is currently the strongest being walking the earth.
