Chapter 107

Philip pov

It's been almost a month since the weird three-day sex mating heat. It was like coming out of a long sleep or something. I was so tired as was every mated wolf in the pack. What had us all shocked was every she-wolf in the pack was now pregnant. Michelle had been starting her heat I could smell it on her when she and Artemis had gone to the clinic the day we found Michael. For whatever reason, I think stress stopped her heat. That was until right after the ceremony. Turns out a few of the younger and unmated pups stumbled on their parents in a compromising position. I asked Clint to help with setting up appointments with the right wolfs for the ones that need to talk things through.

In five months we will have a huge influx of pups then this spikes my fear of what will happen when one of the marked wolves had a pup. We have a week until the first marked wolf will have a pup. She has been in counseling daily as the time comes closer. Artemis has been talking to her brother over the phone more. What we had not expected was that Luna shay was about to drop a pup herself. So the future leader will soon be born. Artemis marking the calendars for the birth of her niece well our niece I will treat the pup like family even if I still can't stand her parents.

Ty comes into the office with both Michael and Jaz in tow. After the night she went missing caused the grannies to have heart attacks, Clint found her curled around Michael in his bed. She had pushed his blankets to him and wrapped them up in hers then wrapped herself around him. Clint had found them snuggled up. Having the alarms silenced he let the grannies know he would keep an eye on her as he had a feeling if he sent her back to the purple floor then she would again find her way back to him. With Michael clinging to her in his sleep he could not come up with a good enough reason to separate them. Having a young pup his age around as well could be helpful so we all agreed Jaz can stay with Michael as long as Michael is okay with it. And so that's where she's been attacked to his him. I have to admit this little firecracker has helped that little man more than I ever could.

Clint had gone out and bought things to have in the beta kitchen area that was just Michael's. They had gone over it several times and with everyone in agreement, his dishes would sit on the counter for him. That way he can see them when he walks in the kitchen what we didn’t expect was for Jaz to climb on the counter to find a matching set for herself and place them next to his. When she got thirsty she would get up and go to the kitchen seeing as its an open concept suite Michael watched her from the living room. Soon he was following suit. If Jaz got up he got up and vice versa. After two weeks Clint and Jaz convinced Michael to go to one of the play areas. He sat and watched as Jaz ran around. She soon was coming over bringing rocks or sticks anything to engage him in play. Took a week but he started slowly with the swings. When his first real smile of joy and happiness crossed his face Clint was fast to snap a picture for us all to see. Artemis had been sitting on my lap cuddling up not feeling well morning sickness has been hell on her. The only time she feels any better is when I am touching her so I moved to the couch to work for the time being. I can smell the sweetness coming from her abdomen and I can't keep the joy knowing my pup is swimming around in there.

I keep a stock of ginger ale and crackers in well every room for her as that seems to be the only thing that settles her stomach. The kitchen staff has tried for weeks to create the cinnybonnies and have failed every time. I keep looking at the black and red swirling liquid in the jar on my desk. It's my one call to Ambrose while he's resting and I will admit to no one I have thought about using it to get those darn things for her. When of all people Michael said one day at a family dinner “why not go meet the person that makes them and ask to be taught?” then covering his mouth like he did something wrong. With the shake of Clint's head, I ignore the covering of his mouth and just answer his question. “you know what I had not thought about that. What would I do without you? Got any more ideas to help me out there?” his little eyes grew huge then shook his head but after that, he started speaking without fearing it. And his suggestion was sound advice he's smart. So I sent Clint's mother Mary to the town where Artemis had called home for almost a year to meet with the cafe owner and her granddaughter Bonnie.

Getting a link that the marked she-wolf has gone into labor both Artemis and I rush down to the clinic. A plan all the marked wolves and I agreed on. If any of the marks are in labor I am to be informed and I will make my way there as fast as I can. Standing outside the door waiting for the she-wolf to have her pup her mate pacing the delivery room having been kicked out. They kept losing the pup's heartbeat and it was too stressful for the father or anyone not on the medical team. What we had now expected was for the pup to never actually be born.

The pup just disappeared but only one of the she-wolves had twins losing one while having one. The had a mark on the back of his neck. The same mark on my wrist. The only difference is the one on him is glowing before it disappears. Well, guess time to add another to the list. Wait if this new pup is marked and one taken what does that mean? Oh for the love of all things I need Ambrose to hurry up and heal.

I have so many questions and no answers yet.
