Linking the pack to come back and forget about that stupid alpha for now. Focusing on the room again “I have the guard coming back to set up search parties for Artemis. Forget about that worthless alpha and his pack we don’t need them.” fathers eyes snap to mine “did you even read the fucking contract?” snatching the paper off the table looking at it once again “this is not the one on public file so no.” I sneer back at father. Jake comes overlooking over my shoulder as we look over the contract. “ya this is not the one I saw him pull last week to look over.” looking up at father who is staring at me oddly. “fuck I forgot I switched them. Artemis kept coming to the office wanting to read over the contracts. I didn’t want a gag spell on her there are already so many ones her right now.” we all nod in understanding.
Taking the next thirty minutes to read over the contract with the black rose pack. My whole thought process shut down. The only reason we are as rich as we are is because of the stock we own in the Samuels cooperation. the guard is as strong as it is due to the amount of black rose pack warriors we always have in the guard. They are the pack we call to do our dirty work. Right here in black and white is the clause he stated as to why he was not signing the new contract. If we don’t get him to sign this before he takes the title we are screwed. The only saving grace is they are under contract for one more. I have a week to find the alpha and beta and get them to sign the contract.
“Okay, today we gather the guard split them send half to find my sister. The other half-track the alpha heir down. His pack is four hours away we will find them and bring them back. We can claim breach of contract for leaving before the academy contract is done.” setting the contract down. Grabbing the pen I start making marks and crossing things out “I want to amend the contract.” “stop” father orders looking up at him and raising a brow.
“my mother tried to take that clause out of the contract in her time but it started breaking the overseer spell. If that clause is not in the contract it somehow triggers the spells to break sooner. Something about mates triggers something deep in the Samuels bloodline. They have never once rejected a mate for any reason. They have accepted a rejection twice. And both times were due to the mate having a life before them they didn’t want to give up. Something about the purity of the line and the hardship’s a majority of their line.” father huffs out in annoyance. “no bloodline is that pure.” I have looked over many bloodlines and all of them have a chosen mate at least once. With a sigh, the father points to a book on the shelf behind me. Pulling it out I open the worn leather pages. Blank. I look up at my father and he walks over. Letting his claws slide out he pricks his finger pressing the page then does the same to my hand. A shock so hard passes through me taking my breath away trying not to let it show how much it hurts. “just breath it will be hard for you to open the lock than it will be for anyone else.” father links me. I nod knowing his words are the truth. Until Artemis is the beta female I still share the alpha heir title with her. She is the backup alpha heir. So the blood spell of the alpha of alphas is trying to bond to half the heir line. Sometimes I hate being a twin.
“I have this book kept under a lock spell only we can unlock and see. It's the journal of the first Luna of the black rose pack and it tells of the promise and vow to the goddess never to reject a mate. She has a page in the back spelled to record any rejection of the bloodline. Who did the rejections if they were accepted and why? Go ahead and look at the last page. If what Samuels said is true we will see he was rejected as the last line and who did the rejecting” father waves his hand at the book before walking over and taking a seat on the couch. Flipping to the back of the book I see several entries. Going to the last line I see:

After reading the chart I look up at my father. “what he said is true.” the guards head warriors making it to the office at the same time. Looking over at the head warriors “split the guard in two half of you find my sister any means necessary and the other half-track the black rose alpha heir go.” they nod and leave. Looking at Jacob and his parents “cant you cast a spell to locate one or both of them?” they nod and leave. Looking to my father “call the alpha William and inform him of his missing son. Order him to call us the minute he hears from him.” smiling my father picks up his phone as I leave the office heading to my room to do some research.
