while looking around the area trying to take it all in. “what is this place?” I ask in awe. Glancing around I see that everyone in the SUV is looking around through the windows mouths agape. “this is my place. Sit still it's not so easy keeping you all in here and connected to your world.” Ambrose grunts out. Looking over I see him sweating and breathing hard. “stone still until Ambrose says otherwise.” I order through the link. A long few moments pass before Ambrose throws his hand up again in front of us. “okay drive through the tear again.” he huffs out slowly. The guys all start up again driving as fast as they can through the tear. Once we are all the way through Ambrose poofed. An envelope appears on my lap.
Phil‘s POV
I must retreat to my place to recharge. I will come to you as soon as I can.
Ambrose.
“what was that Phil?” Ty practically screamed. “I have no idea really Ambrose will explain when he gets back.” looking out the window. We are in the same place but the sun is down now. Keeping the lights off he speeds home. “sir how did we speed through there sit for what almost an hour. Speed through again and come out to the sun being down and in the same spot?” a young warrior stammers out. “magic” I shrug my shoulders. Sobs bring my attention to Artemis. “what?” I bark out I know I should be nicer but I still feel the sting of her rejection.
“what do you mean what? You were there.” she spits out. “well actually no I wasn’t there. We walked in when Jacob threw you on the ground.” she sniffs then her eyes snap to me sniffing again. Reaching a hand out slowly she touches my arm and then pulls back. Looking at me in question. “what?” she slowly asks looking between my eyes and my arm. Smirking “something wrong?” as I start twisting the ring I am wearing. Her eyes snapped to the ring “it's the ring you have no scent because of the ring. Take it off.” she demands. With a smirk, I slip it off and place it in her hand. She sniffs again her shoulders slump. “not what you expected?” cocking my bow at her. A habit I picked up from my father. “ why can't I smell you?” she asks quietly. “well if I remember right you rejected me.” her eyes snap up to mine narrowed in anger. “I know for a fact the bond didn’t break. Apollo had one of your shirts out for the guard to smell. And It still affected me so the bonds are still there but now I can't why?”
“your one to ask, where your is wolf?” her gasp sounded like it hurt. The pain I see in her eyes tells me all I need to know. Her wolf abandoned her a long while ago. “when did she leave?” “do you even care?” she sneers. I shrug my shoulder and turn to look out the window. Trying hard not to laugh. I can hear her huffing and puffing in the seat next to me. Once we hit the border I link to have a room made up for Artemis on a guest floor. I need the space between us. She can't smell me but I can smell her. It's taking all I have not to take her in my arms right now. But two things one she just was put through something horrible and two she rejected me. She needs to heal and figure out if she still wants to reject me or work on things.
Once we stop out front. Artemis looks around confused. “where are we?” staring down at her with a raised brow. “my pack house.” she looks around “where?” “alpha I have the room you requested ready.” Ginny and older she-wolf said bowing. “already with titles huh? Just like Apollo making everyone address you formally.” Ginny gasps and I chuckle. “actually they only just started calling me alpha princess.” winking at her “thanks Ginny. Could you show princess Artemis to her room?” glaring at Artemis she nods her head “yes alpha.” turning away walking in the house wanting to see her reaction. She seemed confused when we pulled up to the pack house. As a winter she would or should have known about how the pack house den was built.
Walking in ahead of them to stand at the stairs. Kavin talked to William who had a stack of messages to go through. She walks in behind Ginny looking around. She starts for the stairs when she notices Ginny pass by the stairs. She looks around confused slowing down as she walks. Told me that she knew nothing of how my pack is. I will give her a few days to just break down before we talk. I will have Skylar take her shopping she brought nothing. She told Kavin she wanted nothing from there. So they just went straight to the SUV.
“Ty, have sky take her shopping. Tell her not to let her go overboard she's not a princess here.” with a snicker “are you sure you want Sky to do that?” with a nod he shakes his head laughing and walks off. I know sending Sky with her will lead to Sky being nosey sky. She is the biggest reason we got caught growing up was because of how nosey Sky can be. She grew up to be one of our top interrogators in the pack. She doesn't stop until she gets everything out of someone. No one is safe from her questions. If it's something she wants to know she will get it out of you. My pack is a blessed pack and our wolves are proof of that. Any time the alpha of alphas had a problem he called for our warriors. Without our protection, the winters are highly susceptible to our gifts right now. So I have a feeling we will soon be needing all the information the princess has. Her shock gasp echos through the hall leading down to the house. “the house is down now up. How many houses are on the pack lands?” “one” is Ginny's short replay.
