Maximus pov
“No moonlight let them sleep. We are meeting this morning after she’s up. You know they had a lot to talk about and do.” I plead with fallen as I bring her this morning's craving cold BBQ drumstick. I use to think pregnant she-wolves ate a lot but my girl can put it away. No clue where it goes she’s mostly still just as tiny as the day we met. Not the middle nope there she’s smuggling an entire bakery under her dress. She's so round in the middle pants no matter the size bug her. So we ordered several as large as we can dresses. Thank goddess for the several quilters and hobby sewers in the pack. Or she would be wearing a tent.
Setting the tray on the bed I make my way to my bathroom. Now, this was my down fall I didn’t shut the bedroom door so this left only three doors between her and Enoy. Giving her a longer distance to gain speed, before she has to stop again is what stopped me from catching her. She was sneaky too. How she shut the front door or kept it open until the alpha door is opened still baffles me.
I will admit the look on both Kai and Enoy's faces when fallen was shaking a half-eaten drumstick at them while yelling. It took everything in me not to laugh. But when fallen scared Enoy I couldn’t hold back. Kai glared but fallen shrugged and turn around. Kaleb has been in a bad mood since around lunch yesterday. I’ll have to ask him about it but for now, his pacing is getting annoying. “that’s it I’m gonna go tell them to hurry up.” He growls. Shaking her head and holding her hands out. “nope I don’t know what ice cube got shoved up your ass but no one needs that in the morning. Especially after what they did and probably are doing sit down.” She huffs as she makes her way down the hall. “dude what is it?” “nothing mind your own shit whipped boy.” He sneers.
“what the fuck man. We have been best friends for years. Pull the stick out of your ass. We don’t treat each other like dirt. What is the fucking problem?” I growl. Both of us stand our chests puffed out and heaving as we breathe. If fallen had not come out at that moment I don’t know what would have happened.
“what is going on? Stop it both of you your best fucking friends. Stop, my dick is bigger, and sit down.” She demands with a deep rumble in her chest. Huffing I turn away from Kaleb. Kaleb stormed down the hall. I thought to go to his room but no he went to Enoy. Helping fallen sit I turn to go retrieve Kaleb when Kai comes out putting his shirt on. “so what are we thinking for breakfast? They need a few minutes to talk.” Kai’s sad eyes tell me something is wrong but he’s not gonna spill.
Having spent enough time with Kai I see what the pack has been missing with the Luna dead. His compassion for others, and his aura of trust you can’t help trust him. He spends time with the pups and they all adore him. Even shadow and snow follow him around. Those two cows don’t look a day over two not bad for being twenty. I also know that if it’s not his place to say something or repeat something he will not leave his lips. He takes trust very seriously. I have heard him say more than once “trust is something easy to keep and the hardest to earn.”
“pancakes, waffles, chicken wings, lasagna, and garlic bread. Oh and a diet soda please.” Fallen blinks sweetly at him. You would think that’s for the room but nope that’s just for her. I had already called down for her breakfast thank goodness for a pack kitchen. No way I could keep enough food going if it wasn’t for them. With no other bears around to ask if this is normal, we decide Ambrose had something to do with it. “I called down already I order just a standard country breakfast spread sent up with moonlight's first breakfast.” Kai chuckles into his hand changing it to a cough with Fallen's glare. “what is wrong with Kaleb he got a stick stuck up his ass.” Kai chokes as fallen huffed out. “cough... I have no clue..cough, cough…why?” he slowly gets out patting his chest as he coughs. “bull shit Kai. I will hide seal shit in your room until you tell me what the fuck is going on. I came out here and this one and that one were at each other’s throats. Tell me sea lion shit in all the time you’ve known them is that normal?” she is screaming by the end. Having not only mine and Kai frozen silent, but behind her is Kaleb and Enoy both with fear and shock on their faces I assume mirror mine.
“umm fallen what big eyes you have?” Enoy then smirks. Before anyone can say anything Enoy is gone. The room now smells of lavender. Pop. Enoy is back. A white sphere flies from her hand hitting fallen in the chest. Exploding tiny ice crystals from fresh snow flying off fallen. The cold ice melts when it makes contact with Fallen's skin. The redness in her face drains away as her merged form recedes. Enoy pops away and back again a few more times hitting everyone with snowballs until fallen is a giggling mess and the floor soaking wet. Along with us all.
“Better?” Enoy asks fallen “yes so much I don’t know what came over me?” “When you get mad back at the snowpack what did you do?” “go for a run” “ in the snow and ice cooling you down and helping clear your mind so you can think again?” Enoy asks raising her brow with that almighty I already know the answer smirk on her lips. With a huff fallen waves her hand at Enoy before heading to the fridge.
