Chapter 161

"Not many, right? Isn't there just one?" Nick replied.

Nathan was speechless; Nick seemed deeply infatuated with Caroline.

"Do as you see fit. But I must warn you, don't let her disgrace the Kennedy family!" Nathan retorted.

"Nathan, she's still an outsider; it's hard for her to disgrace the Kennedy family."

Nathan could see it clearly now; Nick was deeply infatuated.

Whenever Caroline was mentioned, Nick would go all out to defend her.

For a playboy like Nick to treat a woman so sincerely was a good thing.

If it were any other woman, Nathan would fully support it, but unfortunately, Caroline was too indiscreet. Being with her would ultimately betray Nick's feelings.

They couldn't continue this conversation any longer; Nathan feared he might lose his temper with Nick. "Get some rest early. Tomorrow we'll go see Sway together."

"Sway has recovered?" Nick finally heard some good news.

"There's still some issues; you'll see tomorrow." Nathan said and walked out.

As soon as Nathan left, Nick called Caroline.

Caroline hadn't slept yet; she was reading a script, pondering her scenes for tomorrow.

"Carol, I have good news. Sway is reportedly recovering well. We're going to see him tomorrow. Want to join?"

"Sure, but I have a shoot tomorrow. I don't know if I'll have time. I'll have to ask William."

Caroline was also very happy to hear that Sawyer was okay.

"No need to ask him, I'll call William directly." Nick said.

"That's not good. You always interfere with the crew's work. This isn't good in the long run." Caroline said worriedly.

"What's the big deal? The Kennedy Corp's entertainment company is the biggest investor. These days, the one with the money calls the shots. Whatever the boss says, he has to follow!"

Caroline disliked Nick's domineering attitude but had to admit that a sycophantic director like William was best handled by someone like Nick.

"Alright, if you can arrange it, I'll go with you," Caroline replied.

"There's nothing I can't arrange. I'll pick you up in the morning," Nick said happily.

After the call, Nick went to the dressing room and looked in the mirror.

Handsome and charming, how could he not compete with that Joseph?

Nick didn't believe it.

"Go for it, I'm the best. To win Caroline's heart!" Nick punched the air humorously.

The next morning, Caroline and Sarah were busy with breakfast when Nick arrived.

The house was already cramped, and with so many people living there, it was quite messy.

They had been so busy lately that there was no time to tidy up, so Nick found no place to sit with stuff piled everywhere.

"I need to get Charles to arrange two maids for you. Your place is too messy; there's nowhere to sit!" Nick exclaimed.

"Forget it. If you get two more maids, it won't be a matter of no place to sit; there'll be no place to stand." Caroline said.

"Then you need to move. You really need a bigger house and have Sarah move in with you." Nick started talking about the house again.

"I've said it before, living here is fine. It's cozy, and Sarah doesn't want to move," Caroline retorted.

"No, I do want to move. Why wouldn't I want to live in a big house?" Sarah interjected.

Caroline sighed and gave Sarah a look.

But Sarah wasn't having it. "I do want to! A big house and I'm choosing to live in a tiny place like this? I must be crazy! Nathan, how big is the house? Does it have a garden? A pool? Are the neighbors rich and handsome?"

Nick laughed and gave a thumbs up. "Ms. Parker, you're straightforward! As long as you convince Carol, a garden and pool are no problem!"

"No way, she can't convince me. Nick, stop using material things to attract her!" Caroline snapped.

Sarah retorted, "Choosing not to live in a big house? You must be out of your mind!"

"Exactly," Nick agreed.

"Then you go live there. I'm not going." Caroline said disdainfully.

"If you don't go, I won't let you live in my house," Sarah retorted.

"Right, this house is Ms. Parker's. She has every right to kick you out!" Nick stirred the pot.

"You dare!" Caroline threatened Sarah. "I'm about to become a superstar. If you dare kick me out, I won't let you be my manager!"

"Caroline, where do you get the confidence to think you can become a superstar? Without me, the top manager, you'd never become a star." Sarah shot back.

"Sarah, have some dignity. Don't be swayed by material things. Living here is fine. If we move, this house will be empty, and that would be a waste." Caroline tried to calm her.

"I can rent it out and increase my income," Sarah shouted.

Sarah ignored Caroline and looked at Nick. "Nathan, I'll pack up anytime. Just say the word!"

"Sarah, you're a person of principle. You won't move. You're not someone who can be swayed by material things." Seeing Sarah completely swayed, Caroline had to change tactics, trying to flatter her back to her side."Oh my God, you're such a snob! I can't believe I'm friends with someone like you!" Caroline said, pretending to tease.

"This is also for the kids' sake, to give them a better environment to grow up in." Sarah was unmoved.

Caroline couldn't convince Sarah, so she looked at Sophie. "Sweetie, you like living here, right?"
