Chapter 166

Caroline was about to explode with anger.

They were all playing dumb together. Was it necessary to use such a suffocating tactic against a weak woman like her?

"What do you want? If you don't want to talk, just tell me which room Sawyer is in, and I'll go myself," Caroline said impatiently.

Nick glanced at Nathan, clearly waiting for his instructions.

Nathan didn't say anything, turned around, and walked straight inside.

Nick followed closely.

Caroline had no choice but to struggle along with a bunch of stuff. But these two didn't seem to have any intention of helping at all.

They took the elevator to the tenth floor, and as soon as they got out, they saw two bodyguards standing at the door, greeting to Nathan.

The entire floor was eerily quiet, as if there were no other patients there.

When they reached the room, Nathan was about to open the door but suddenly withdrew his hand and turned to Caroline.

Caroline looked up innocently at Nathan, not understanding what he wanted.

Then Nathan waved his hand, and Caroline, after a moment of confusion, looked back, seeing nothing behind her.

"Nathan is telling you to get lost!" Nick explained.

Caroline was stunned for a second before saying, "Why can't I see Sawyer? I bought so many things."

"You have nothing to do with the Kennedy family; we don't need your visit," Nathan responded coldly.

"I am Sawyer's friend!" Caroline retorted, unwilling to give in.

"You are not worthy," Nathan still showed no mercy.

Those words were too harsh, but Caroline wouldn't give in easily. "Sway and I have always been friends, whether I'm worthy or not is not for you to decide! If you didn't want me to visit, why did you let me bring all these things and come with you?"

"That was your own insistence," Nathan retorted.

Caroline instantly understood, he was deliberately picking a fight.

"I want to see Sawyer, and you can't decide who his real friends are. You think you control everything, but it just shows how insecure you are. It screams inferiority!"

Nick was stunned to hear this.

Nathan's face twitched. "I'm so powerful in Aurora City that if I wanted to, I could make the whole city tremble. And you think I'm insecure?" But her words really got to him.

"You're cold, distant, and secretive. You're afraid of people getting close and finding out your secrets. This extreme self-protection screams insecurity!" Caroline continued, raising her voice and calling out Nathan.

Nathan's face darkened. He told himself not to care about her nonsense, but he couldn't ignore it.

Seeing his reaction, Caroline felt satisfied. "Your anger shows I hit the nail on the head!"

"Get her out of here," Nathan said to Nick, pointing at her. "Far away."

"Nathan, you started this and now you want me to fix it?" Nick then pretended to be tough. "Nathan told you to leave!"

Caroline simply threw the packages in her hand on the ground. "Unless you let me see Sway, I won't leave today!"

"What did you say?"

"I'm not leaving!"

Nick immediately deflated, looking to Nathan for help. Nathan just waved and called over two bodyguards.

"Take her away," Nathan said and then pushed the door open, slamming it shut behind him.

"Please come with us," the two bodyguards cautiously advised, making a polite gesture.

"I'm not leaving. I came for my friend."

Nick was helpless. "Can't you stop going head-to-head with Nathan?"

Caroline was still furious. "Looking down on people, even calling security for support. The Kennedy family has lost all dignity!"

Faced with such a tricky situation, the bodyguards had to turn to Nick for guidance again.

Nick directly waved them off. So the two bodyguards temporarily withdrew, continuing their guard duty.

"Why bother? It was you who first got ambiguous with that Joseph, so Nathan got angry," Nick sighed helplessly.

"He's the one harassing me!" Caroline argued.

"It was clearly you two hugging tightly." Mentioning this, Nick was also extremely angry, even the gentlest man couldn't tolerate such a thing.

"He forced himself on me, and I pushed him away! Besides, there's nothing special between you and me."

"As my fiancée, you say such hurtful things? Fine, please leave immediately." With that, Nick also went inside, leaving Caroline alone outside. Seeing this, Caroline decided to barge in.
