Chapter 165

At the entrance of the Neurology Hospital, Caroline got out of the car, but Joseph showed no intention of leaving.

"Carol, how about I go with you to see your friend?" he asked.

"No, you should leave now," Caroline said impatiently.

Caroline started walking away, heading to a nearby supermarket to buy some things. After all, she can't visit a patient empty-handed.

But Joseph kept following her, refusing to leave.

This time, Caroline was really angry.

She turned around, frowning. "Joseph, how long are you going to keep pestering me?"

"What's wrong, Carol?" Joseph feigned innocence.

"Are you following me for some reason?"

Joseph shrugged. "I just like you."

"I don't need you to like me!"

"Liking someone is something I can't control."

"Stop with the nonsense. I'm warning you now, stay away from me, or you'll regret it," Caroline said furiously.

"Alright then."

Caroline pointed at Joseph, signaling him not to follow, and then walked straight into the supermarket. She bought some fruit and milk. Although Sawyer lacked nothing, it was a gesture of friendship.

After buying the items, she found that they were a bit too much to carry. At this moment, Joseph suddenly appeared again. "Let me help you."

Caroline, being kind-hearted, didn't want to lose her temper at someone who was smiling at her, so she let him help carry the items.

At the hospital entrance, Caroline took the items back. "Alright, I can take it from here. You should go back, and don't follow me anymore. If you do, I'll call the police and report you for harassment!"

"I'll wait for you in the parking lot and give you a ride home later."

"No need. I'm telling you again, don't follow me, or I'll report you for harassment."

"Carol."

"Don't call me so intimately! Stop right there and don't follow me."

"Carol, I know you like me. I've always known." As Joseph said this, he suddenly stepped forward and hugged Caroline tightly. Caroline struggled to push him away, and then Joseph turned and ran. Caroline was so angry she stomped her feet.

Carrying the items she bought, she walked towards the inpatient department. Just as she was about to take out her phone to call Sawyer and ask which room he was in, she looked up and saw two almost identical men standing not far ahead.

Tall and slender, with exquisite features, they had the kind of handsome looks that made all women scream with excitement.

Passersby stopped in their tracks, marveling at the extraordinary looks of the twin brothers. Some even wanted to take out their phones to take pictures, but seeing their grim expressions and the strong bodyguards in black standing nearby, they didn't dare to act rashly.

"Do you believe it now?" Nathan asked coldly.

Nick cursed through gritted teeth. "Bastard!"

"I want to kill him!" Nick said, still full of hatred.

"Alright, what's the use of saying such harsh words? This time you saw with your own eyes what happened between her and him. Can you give up now?" Nathan mocked.

Nick remained silent, his face full of unwillingness.

He couldn't accept it. How could he lose to another man? It was unacceptable.

Seeing Nathan and Nick, Caroline had a bad feeling.

But since she was already there, she forced herself to walk over.

"You're all here. Which room is Sway in?" Caroline asked, pretending to be relaxed.

No one responded to her.

Nathan, as usual, was cold and distant.

Oddly enough, even Nick, who usually loved to joke around, was fuming.

"What's wrong with you?" Caroline said with an awkward laugh.

Nick and Nathan both shot her sharp looks.

They were almost driven mad with anger, and she could still laugh?

Seeing the brothers united in their anger, Caroline felt a bit panicked.

"You both look so vengeful. Who offended you?" Caroline asked.

They still didn't speak.

"Don't be like this, just say what's on your mind," Caroline said.

But they remained silent, standing there, drawing everyone's attention.

A thought suddenly crossed Caroline's mind: If Nick and Nathan became entertainers, those young male stars who only had popularity would immediately lose their jobs.

"Alright, stop trying to look cool. Let's go see Sway," Caroline said.

Nick got even angrier, thinking, ' I'm clearly furious, and she say I'm trying to look cool?'

"Caroline, you..." Nick said, his voice trembling with anger.

He originally wanted to say "you're shameless," but thought it was too harsh and hesitated to say it.

"What's wrong with you two? Nathan doesn't speak because he's used to pretending to be mute, but why aren't you speaking, Nick?" Caroline frowned.

After saying this, she regretted it and covered her mouth. How could she say Nathan was "used to pretending to be mute"? Nathan was so petty, he would definitely be angry!

Nick looked at Nathan, thinking, 'Nathan, she's insulting you to your face! You're a powerful CEO, handle her. I'm not defending her today!'

But to Nick's disappointment, Nathan didn't retort.

Facing Caroline's verbal attack, he was actually speechless, just silently enduring it.

As a dignified CEO, how could he bully a woman in front of Nick?

So, Nathan could only remain silent.
