Chapter 179
Isabella was very enthusiastic, but Caroline didn't want to deceive her.
So Caroline told her directly, "Sawyer is not coming here."
Isabella looked at Caroline with a puzzled expression. "Aren't you two together? You live here, and he doesn't come to see you?"
Caroline shook her head helplessly. "I told you, I'm not with him; those are just rumors."Isabella's eyes grew even more disappointed, but then they suddenly lit up. "You have such a good relationship with him; you must have his phone number and Facebook, right?"
Caroline looked at her without saying a word.
"You do, don't you?" Isabella asked excitedly.
Caroline felt it would be too fake to deny it, but she couldn't easily give out private information either. "I can't give it to you; it's his private information."
"Don't worry, I'm not asking for his contact information. I mean you can arrange a meeting with him! You tell him you're here, he will definitely come to see you!" Isabella suggested excitedly.
Caroline felt a hint of madness in the air, making her uneasy. Perhaps this seemingly quiet girl was just like the fervent fans online; no matter how gentle she appeared, she had the same obsessive heart.
She was really careless; at first, she thought Isabella's enthusiasm was because of her, but it turned out it was all for Sawyer.
Isabella's logic was simple: Caroline had a relationship with Sawyer, and as long as she went through Caroline, she could meet Sawyer. For this purpose, she didn't hesitate to pay for the room to keep Caroline here.
Caroline was the bait, the purpose was to lure Sawyer. So Isabella kept coming to Caroline's room to see if Sawyer had come.
Now that she knew Sawyer wouldn't come, she started thinking of ways. "Just call him," Isabella said expectantly.
Caroline sensed Sawyer's madness again, but this time it was even more obvious.
She originally planned to refuse, but at this moment, Caroline decided to be cautious. "Okay, I'll try."
Caroline took out her phone, thinking about how to handle this. If she didn't make the call, she might anger Isabella.
"Put it on speaker, I want to hear Sway's voice. I've only heard it on TV before. " Isabella said excitedly, even taking out her own phone to record.
Caroline was shocked by this level of madness. If Isabella knew she wouldn't contact Sawyer, would she lose her mind?
What should she do? Who should she call?
After thinking for a moment, Caroline decided to call Sarah, believing she could handle this situation. "Hello, I'm looking for Sawyer," Caroline said nervously.
"If you're looking for Sawyer, you should call..." Sarah answered the phone but was interrupted before she could finish.
"Is this Sarah? Is Sway available to take a call? A fan wants to meet him," Caroline quickly explained.
There was a few seconds of silence on the other end of the line before Sarah responded, "Sway has an event tonight, so he's getting his makeup done and he can't take the call right now. Call back later; I'll hang up now."
After hanging up, Caroline shrugged and said helplessly, "He's quite busy today; no time to take calls."
"Who did you just call?" Isabella asked.
"His assistant."
"But you called her Sarah?"
"Yes, he has several assistants, Sarah handles his personal life, and there's another one responsible for PR and external contacts, so those of us who know Sway usually contact Sarah."
Caroline's words made Isabella somewhat believe her, after all, she was Sawyer's "rumored girlfriend," so her words naturally had more credibility.
"Don't worry. If it's meant to be, you'll meet Sway eventually." Caroline comforted softly.
"Then we'll wait until he's free to meet," Isabella said firmly.
"We?" Caroline felt a wave of panic.
"We have a fan group, and I told them you were staying here. A few fans are on their way, but don't worry, they all support you and Sway," Isabella added.
Caroline forced a smile. "Sway has plans tonight, maybe another day."
"No, we must see him tonight, no matter how late we'll wait. It's best if he can come; if not, we'll go see him, just for a quick look. We won't disturb him."
From Isabella's determined tone, Caroline felt her resolve. If they hadn't seen Sawyer, who knew what she might have done.
