Chapter 180

Caroline was just about to speak when someone else pushed the door open.

This time, it wasn't just one person, but about ten, filling the room instantly. There were both guys and girls, all in their early twenties.

As soon as they came in, they started taking pictures of Caroline, the sound of phone cameras clicking incessantly.

Although Caroline was unhappy, she didn't dare to show it.

"Wow, it's really her. She's even prettier than in the photos," a girl exclaimed.

"Of course, I told you it was her, but you didn't believe me," Isabella said proudly.

She felt like the leader of this group of fans because she was the one who discovered Caroline.

"But I don't think she's good enough for Sway. No matter how pretty she is, Sway should be with a famous star. She's not famous at all; she's just using Sway's influence," another girl voiced her opinion.

Caroline felt uncomfortable hearing this. There were too many such comments online, often even more malicious.

"I think it's okay. Besides, maybe Sway is just having fun with her. It's not like they're getting married," another person said.

"Right, Sway should either be with a top star or a supermodel. At the very least, a wealthy socialite. Who is she, just a small-time actress."

"Don't say that. We still need her to get Sway to come over."

Caroline was surrounded, like a monkey in a zoo, subjected to their pointing and comments.

She didn't even have the courage to talk back. Several people were clearly hostile towards her. If she dared to resist, they might beat her up.

Their tone was not friendly at all, especially the girls, who looked at Caroline with resentment.

Caroline was sure these people had said bad things about her online.

When they talked about Sawyer, their tone was also quite disdainful, as if he wasn't their idol but a servant they could order around.

They shamelessly discussed who Sawyer should date and how he should live, as if these were decisions they could make.

If Sawyer's actual behavior didn't match their expectations, they would immediately turn into malicious fans, attacking Sawyer just like they were attacking Caroline now.

Caroline didn't dare to talk back, only thinking about how to get out of there.

"When is Sway coming?" a girl directly questioned Caroline.

Caroline had never said Sawyer was coming! This was all their own imagination!

But Caroline didn't dare to say directly that Sawyer wasn't coming, as it might anger them.

"He's busy and can't be reached right now," Caroline said weakly.

"When will he be reachable?"

"I'm not sure."

"Are you playing us?" a girl started to get aggressive.

"I'm not. I can't reach him, but maybe later."

As soon as Caroline took out her phone, one of the guys snatched it away. "What are you trying to do? Call the police?"

Caroline forced a smile. "Why would I call the police? You guys are Sway's fans, and I'm his friend. We're on the same side. You won't hurt me, so there's no need to call the police."

Her calmness seemed to ease the tension a bit.

"How did you and Sway meet?" a fan started to interrogate.

"A long time ago, we met when we were abroad," Caroline said truthfully.

"You've been abroad?" a fan expressed doubt.

"Yes."

"Then say a few words in the language of the country you were in."

Caroline had no choice but to say a few words.

"Not bad. So how exactly did you and Sway meet? Tell us the details."

Caroline awkwardly smiled. "The story is too long. Let's talk about it another day. It's hard to explain in a few words."

"Did you guys sleep together?" a girl asked bluntly.

Caroline was stunned.

"No."

"Really?"

"Yes."

The girl actually breathed a sigh of relief. "Good, you didn't."

"Did you kiss?"

"No."

Caroline felt increasingly disgusted. They didn't treat her like a person at all, completely disregarding her privacy!

"You guys sit down first. I need to use the bathroom," Caroline stood up.

Immediately, two or three people surrounded her. "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to the bathroom," Caroline said.

"There's a bathroom in the room. Why do you need to go outside?"

"There are too many people here. I'm not used to it. I get embarrassed with so many people around," Caroline said awkwardly.

"You still want to call the police, right? We don't want to hurt you. Just get Sway to come over, or we'll get angry!" a guy threatened.

"That's right. We like Sawyer, not you! You've ruined Sway's reputation, and we haven't even settled the score with you yet!"

Caroline quickly smiled. "Really, you guys are overthinking it."

At this moment, Caroline's phone rang, but it was in another guy's hand.

She looked at the phone and said, "Can I answer the call? It might be Sawyer's assistant."

They looked at each other and decided to let her answer the call but demanded she put it on speaker.

The call was from Sarah.

"Sarah, is Sway available?" Caroline asked.

"Almost. Which hotel are you at? Tell me the room number."

Caroline was about to speak when a guy snatched the phone. "Who are you?"

"Who are you?" Sarah asked.

"Never mind that. Tell me who you are first."

"I'm Sawyer's manager," Sarah replied.

"When is Sway coming?" the guy asked.

"I don't know you. Let Caroline answer the phone," Sarah said firmly.

The guy handed the phone to Caroline because he needed her to lure Sawyer over.

"Sarah, there are a few of Sway's fans here who really want to see him. Can you have Sway come over later? " Caroline said.

Then she naturally gave the room number.

"I'll try to arrange it," Sarah said.

The guy snatched the phone again. "Don't play any tricks. If we see any cops, we'll throw this woman out the window!"

"Who are you, and why are you doing this? Threatening people is not good. Do you think Sway would want to see you?" Sarah's attitude hardened.
