Chapter 107 Vivian Was Shocked

But reality didn't go along with her wish. Vivian originally intended to take action personally, but she didn't stay inside for long before feeling nauseous and had to step out.

Of course, she attributed it to being pregnant, so it was understandable and forgivable. She decided to grab a cup of coffee and supervise from outside.

It was not good for pregnant women to drink too much coffee. She knew that. The problem was she hadn't made up her mind about whether to keep the baby or not. As time passed and her pregnancy symptoms became more apparent, she still couldn't decide.

After weighing the pros and cons, Vivian decided she didn't want the baby, at least not now. However, Liam did. If she went for an abortion directly, it could strain their relationship. But if she didn't...

Vivian appeared somewhat irritated.

Her phone vibrated. Thinking it was Liam asking her whereabouts, Vivian picked it up only to find Rosen calling. She felt a sudden panic.

Looking around instinctively and finding herself alone, she put down her coffee cup and walked to a quiet corner of the hallway before answering. "Hello?"

"Honey, do you miss me?" Rosen's teasing voice came through with a hint of mischief.

Vivian fell silent.

"Yes, of course, I miss you! I wish you could appear in front of me right now. But I can't stop you from pursuing art; I can only silently miss you." They were intimate enough for her to know what he wanted to hear.

"Is that so?" Rosen sounded genuinely pleased. "What are you doing now?"

"I'm in the lab. Since the formula is so important, I have to take care of it personally. I can't let your efforts go to waste. These two new products will be bestsellers. In fact, I'm even considering showcasing them at this year's annual perfume showdown.  Will you be attending?"

Rosen chuckled, seeing through her directly, "Are you asking if I'll be a judge?"

Vivian fell silent.

That was indeed what she meant. Since Rosen had already seen through her, there was no need to hide. She admitted frankly, "Yes! I wonder if I have a chance. Maybe I'll bribe the judges!"

"Do you really want this opportunity?" His tone was half serious, half playful.

But she sensed the underlying message in his words. Her eyes lit up, "Really? Will you really be a judge?"

The annual perfume competition was strict. In the interest of fairness, apart from domestic judges, a portion would also be recruited from overseas. Moreover, the list would not be disclosed to the public until the judges themselves had received prior notification before the commencement of the competition.

So, attempting to bribe in advance was usually futile.

Vivian was just testing the waters, but her luck seemed to be turning! If Rosen was indeed one of the judges, winning the prize would be a sure thing!

With his vote secured, using his influence to sway the other judges, and given the fact that this perfume originated from him, clinching the top spot seemed almost inevitable!

Vivian's mind raced. In the blink of an eye, she had analyzed all the possibilities ahead. It felt as if the gold medal was already in her hands, her face beaming with a radiant smile.

"If you really want it, seize every opportunity!" He said meaningfully before hanging up.

Momentarily stunned, Vivian hadn't grasped his meaning when a message arrived with an address in Lindwood City, not too far from the lab!

Instantly, she understood his message. He was here!

Clutching her phone, her wrist trembling uncontrollably, she never expected him to return so quickly.

Furthermore, this clearly indicated an invitation for a date.

Though they had already been intimate, Vivian hesitated, considering his energy and creativity, feeling a bit apprehensive.

Instinctively, she wanted to refuse., They were in Lindwood City, where running into acquaintances was common, and Liam was still around, so the consequences of being discovered were daunting.

But Vivian knew Rosen appeared casual but was ruthless in reality. Not going would mean rejecting him, losing not just the authority to speak at the annual competition but also all future benefits.

Taking the first step, she couldn't turn back. Regardless, she would grit her teeth and continue forward.

However, she also needed to find a way to save herself. Otherwise, her body might give out before achieving her goals.

After weighing her options, she quickly made a decision, hailed a cab downstairs, and headed to the address he provided.

It was a hotel. Rosen usually stayed in hotels when he was outside, never lingering for long.

Vivian didn't know where he went after leaving Lindwood City or what he did. She couldn't care less about it because she only sought benefits from him.

Wrapping a scarf around her face, she avoided the cameras, hurriedly entered the elevator, found Rosen's room number, and knocked.

After a few seconds, the door opened. Contrary to Vivian's expectations of an embrace and passion, Rosen just opened the door for her and turned around. He was still in a shirt and pants, a few buttons undone, his hair slightly disheveled, looking a bit messy.

Stunned, Vivian walked in, closed the door behind her, then locked it. She removed her sunglasses and scarf, and approached him, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind. "What's wrong? Aren't you happy to see me?"

Patting her hand, Rosen sat on the sofa, squinting and looking at her. Then, he lowered his head and picked up a thin tube.

Only then did Vivian see the items on the table—papers, a thin tube, white powder...

He lowered his head, bringing the tube closer to himself!

Even if she hadn't encountered such things before, she had seen them on TV and instantly understood what he was doing, every hair on her body standing on end.

"Rosen, you..."

Ignoring her, Rosen closed his eyes, leaning back heavily. He seemed lost in his world, oblivious to everything around him, as if nothing mattered to him.

Vivian was shocked!
