Chapter 63 I Didn't Expect You to Be So Restrained

The body stiffened instantly.

Vivian instinctively wanted to break free, but his voice sounded in her ear, "Do you like it here?"

His accent was a bit off, but it served as a reminder of his different status, one she couldn't afford to offend.

Stiffening her body, Vivian let him hold her. She didn't dare to move and nodded stiffly as she answered, "I like it."

"So, do you want to have all this?" he asked again.

This time, she softened her actions and spoke faster, "Of course I do!"

She had always dreamed of it! The dream of her life was to climb to the top of society, be a wealthy wife, enjoy a life of luxury, and never suffer again.

Her circle determined her class, and the only one she could hold onto was Liam. Because she saw him as a promising individual, she also believed he would have a bright future.

Watching Liavian Perfumes grow and become stronger day by day, she felt that her dream was getting closer. She had won awards, and the industry had started to take notice.

Although Liam still maintained a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with Evelyn, he belonged to her.

She would eventually become Liam's wife, and everything was moving in a beautiful direction.

But this incident with the essential oils dealt her a heavy blow and made her realize that many things were not as wonderful as she had imagined.

Liavian Perfumes was a giant brought down by a tiny bottle of essential oil. The difference between it and big companies and conglomerates was too great.

Liam, when he encountered such a problem, could only turn to Evelyn, to his mother, but his mother couldn't acknowledge him.

She used to look forward to the future, but now she didn't dare to think about it. She realized that the gap between them and the real upper class, the nobility, was still very large, a gap that they could never bridge no matter how hard they tried.

This realization made her feel a little desperate.

"The world is big, so big that you can't walk through it!" Rosen said slowly, "But the world is also small, so small that you can hold it with one hand!"

As he spoke, he slowly took her hand, then turned it over, wrapping his hand around hers, holding it tightly. "It depends on whether you can grasp it!" he added.

Vivian didn't say anything.

She stared at her hand in a daze, or rather, at the hand that was holding hers. His palm was large, and his sweat was particularly long, holding her hand, making herself look so weak, and his strength was also so domineering that she couldn't break free.

Holding her hand, Rosen turned her shoulder, turning her body to face him. "Vivian, you're still young. You should plan for yourself!" he urged.

Vivian was a bit confused and hesitated.

When Rosen's face got closer and closer to her, his lips also got closer, almost touching her lips.

Just as they were about to touch, she suddenly woke up and pushed him away.

"No!" Vivian suddenly exclaimed.

"No?" he questioned.

Rosen's expression was clearly displeased.

Vivian felt scared; she put her hand on his chest, lowered her head, and said, "Mr. Rosen, I respect you and admire you. But I have a boyfriend, Liam, he is very good to me. I am grateful for your kindness."

Before she could finish her sentence, Rosen had already let go of her hand.

His reaction was a bit unexpected to her; Vivian looked up at him but saw that he had already turned and walked to the refrigerator, took out a can of beer from inside, opened it with a snap, and took a big sip.

"Vivian, you're overthinking." Rosen said, "I thought you would..."

His eyes turned around, probably thinking about his words, and then he shrugged, "I thought you would be more open-minded, more free-thinking, but I didn't expect you to be so reserved.

"We're all out, you're happy, I'm happy, why think so much? What you want, I can give it to you. What I want is for you. Isn't that good? Why carry such a heavy burden of thought?"

He seemed indifferent as if being rejected just now was no big deal at all. Vivian found herself in a sorry state when she faced him.

"Don't worry, I only do it for happiness, and I won't force anyone. You don't like it, okay, no problem!" He nodded and remarked, "But now, I want to rest!"

Obviously, this was a dismissal.

Vivian felt embarrassed, although he didn't say anything extreme from start to finish; that feeling made her feel like she was being dramatic, pretentious, and ungrateful.

The key was that being driven out like this was embarrassing.

But she had just refused, and it was too late to change her mind now, not to mention that she hadn't figured it out at all; her head was a mess.

"Okay, I got it, Mr. Rosen. You rest well. See you tonight!" she said and walked toward the door with her head down.

Just as she was about to close the door, Rosen spoke again, "Vivian!"

Vivian stopped in her tracks.

"We will stay in Tedia for about a week, and you have enough time to think slowly," he said as he held up the can of beer with a faint smile.

Vivian didn't say anything. She barely made a sound, backed out, and closed the door.

In the room, Rosen raised a smile of determination.

Vivian's head was blank, she didn't know how she got back to the room, she felt suffocated and overwhelmed!

The temperature of Rosen, his smell, and his words all lingered around her, not even giving her a chance to catch her breath.

'You have enough time to think slowly,' this line echoed in her mind.

Slowly consider. No! She couldn't let Liam down, especially now that she might be pregnant.

Rosen just wanted to play with her, but Liam wanted to marry her. They were serious, and she couldn't go wrong!

Just then, Liam's phone rang, and she immediately said, "Liam, I miss you so much!"

Liam was stunned, probably not expecting her to be so enthusiastic, and then he smiled again.

"What's wrong? Just arrived and missed me?" Liam teased.

"When can you come over and be with me?" Vivian asked. This time, she was really acting like a spoiled child.

"Vivian, you know I still have something to do on my end, but it will be done soon, and I will come to see you after it's completely resolved, okay?" he coaxed gently, then asked, "By the way, have you arrived at the hotel? Is the room okay? Let me tell you, I specially chose a high-quality double room. I've seen it. The others are a bit too simple. How can they match you? Are you satisfied?"
