Chapter 129 I Had No Choice

Liam was very angry. "Let her go!"

"Why take it so seriously!" Rosen seemed to be deliberately against Liam, getting close to Vivian's face as if he was about to kiss her.

Seeing this scene, Liam couldn't restrain himself from rushing forward to continue the fight, but Vivian grabbed him. "Enough! Liam, do you want to call the night shift staff and let the whole world know what happened here?"

Vivian seemed so righteous, as if it weren't her who had done something wrong just now.

However, Vivian did hit Liam's sore spot. For Liam, this was a shame. If it got out, it would only make Liam lose face.

"Get out!" Liam pointed outside. "Get out of here!"

Vivian didn't move but gave Rosen a look.

Standing there, Rosen smiled indifferently, his eyes full of disdain.

Frowning at Rosen, Vivian was really anxious. If Rosen didn't leave soon, Vivian might not be able to let Liam calm down.

Only then did Rosen walk nonchalantly to the elevator and go downstairs directly.

"Liam," Vivian called Liam's name. However, Liam roared, "Get out! Can't you hear me?"

"I know you're not in a good mood right now. I know you're very angry, but can you calm down a bit!" Vivian pointed to the door of the lab. "The new product has just been successfully developed. I've tested it and made adjustments to the formula. Just wait until dawn, then hand it over to the review team for verification. Once it passes, it can be officially put into production!"

"I guarantee that this will be a bestseller, bringing endless vitality to the company. Acting impulsively now could lead to more than just the downfall of Liavian Perfumes later. Do you understand?!" Vivian shouted.

Standing there blankly, Liam didn't move. His eyes seemed unfocused as if he didn't hear anything Vivian said.

Seeing Liam's wound still bleeding, Vivian quickly grabbed Liam's hand. "Liam, I had no other options! I can explain this to you. Let's first bandage your wound and then have someone clean up this place. Otherwise, by the time we come to work tomorrow, it will be too late."

Turning slowly, Liam looked at her dully. "You had no options?"

"Yes!" Vivian nodded affirmatively, holding Liam's hand tightly. We've been together for so many years. Don't you trust me? I really have difficulties! Liam, let's go bandage your wound first, okay?"

"Ridiculous!"

With a sneer, Liam forcefully pulled his hand away and mockingly said, "Vivian, do you think I'm a three-year-old being deceived? I saw it with my own eyes!"

Liam pointed to his eyes as if he wanted to gouge them out.

"Get out, I don't want to see you! You're not needed here!"

Turning around, Liam walked unsteadily towards the elevator, looking like he had given up himself.

"Liam!" Unable to halt Liam's departure, Vivian glanced at the disarray around her, deliberated briefly, then returned to the laboratory to store the samples and formulas securely in her bag. Only thereafter did she dial the emergency line downstairs, stating, "Due to an experiment mishap in the laboratory, there has been a minor issue. Please send someone up for cleanup."

Liam drove aimlessly, speeding extremely fast.

Liam's mind was blank, occasionally flashing scenes from the lab that were unbearable to look at!

Liam dared not recall that! He adamantly refused to delve into that!

In Liam's recollections, Vivian was the epitome of gentleness and charm. She had a playful allure in intimate moments, and a knack for conjuring delightful surprises during festive occasions.

Vivian almost fulfilled all of Liam's illusions about women. Liam stole Evely's work for Vivian, used the company's name to show love for Vivian, and nearly ruin his own career for her.

But in the end, Vivian knelt under Rosen.

Liam smashed at the steering wheel with resentment! After so many years together, Liam had never made such a request, nor was he willing to let Vivian do this, but Vivian actually did it with Rosen.

Liam felt disgusted and felt like throwing up!

Dizzy, unable to control his hands, his car swayed like a drunken man on the quiet road. After a few sharp sounds, it uncontrollably veered to one side.

Heavily hitting a tree, it came to a stop.

Head broken, blood flowing.

Evelyn woke up early, feeling very comfortable, completely without the headache and discomfort that she had experienced after drinking. The soup that Samuel quickly leanred and prepared for her proved to be very beneficial.

The smell of breakfast wafted upstairs. Evelyn put on her slippers and went downstairs. At the corner, she saw Samuel preparing breakfast in an apron. Truly, it was a beautiful morning!

Coming down the stairs quickly to Samuel's back, she hugged Samuel from behind and gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek. "Good morning!"

Samuel smiled and turned his face to steal a kiss on Evelyn's lips. "Sit down and have breakfast!"

The breakfast was already very rich, with milk, waffles, fried eggs, black pepper sausages, and some cut fruits. Looking at all this made her very happy.

Evelyn thought this was already enough, but she didn't expect Samuel to bring a cup of honey lemon water. "I checked. This is also a hangover remedy. Drink it."

"I'm already sober, completely fine!"

"That won't do!" Samuel insisted. "Drink it. It's good for cleansing your stomach."

Helplessly, Evelyn obediently drank the lemon water. Luckily, it tasted good.

"What are your plans for today?" Samuel asked while eating breakfast.

"What about you?" Evelyn temporarily had no new inspiration for her work, and it was the holiday season, so she didn't have any plans for the time being.

Samuel didn't answer Evelyn but opened his phone and played a voice message: [Good morning, Mr. Whitman. You have three meetings today, one party. Ethan Montgomery of BrightWave Technologies has scheduled a meeting with you at three o'clock in the afternoon. The agenda items for the meeting includes....]

Samuel pressed the stop button midway through the narrative, turning to Evelyn. "That's essentially the gist of it," he said.

Evelyn fell silent. She thought, 'Well, Samuel is really busy!'

"I'll arrange it myself!" Evelyn said very conscientiously.

As she said that, Kyle had already arrived, quietly waiting in the hallway.

"Did you make sure the person was safely home last night?" Although Kyle was reliable in his work, Samuel still showed his care because Laura helped Samuel bring Evelyn back.

"Safely delivered." Kyle added. "Dropped off downstairs."

Evelyn realized it and asked, "Was it Laura? Did you take Laura back last night?"

Samuel glanced at Evelyn. She seemed to have forgotten everything because of alcohol!
