Chapter 137 Did Evelyn Know Judo? Just kidding!

Rosen fled in a sorry state, finding a nearby hospital to treat his injured hand, howling in pain all the way.

By the time Vivian arrived, Rosen's dislocated arm had been reset, his broken bones bandaged, and his arm in a sling. He looked quite comical.

Originally, Rosen had fought with Liam, sporting injuries on his face, and now, with both arms semi-disabled, he was even more furious.

"Are you okay?" At a glance, Vivian actually understood that there wasn't much of a problem, but Rosen, in a fit of anger, had called Vivian over the phone, so Vivian knew she should offer a few words of comfort.

She proactively helped Rosen settle the medical expenses and then supported him out of the hospital, which slightly improved Rosen's complexion.

"Are you alright? How did it end up like this? You seemed quite brave during the fight!" Vivian hinted, helping Rosen into the car.

Seated in the car, Rosen sat up straight, gesturing with his chin towards the seatbelt. Vivian, in the driver's seat, had no choice but to lean over his body to help Rosen fasten it. After securing it, she asked Rosen, "Should I take you back to the hotel?"

"Or should we go to your place?" Rosen said angrily.

Knowing Rosen was in a bad mood, Vivian decided not to engage in conversation. However, Rosen was not one to stay quiet. He used his uninjured hand to pull out a cigarette, opened the pack with his mouth, took one out, then lit it with a lighter using one hand, going through the whole process until he blew a smoke ring, finally calming down.

"Have you been to the hospital?" Rosen asked.

Vivian replied while driving, "Of course, how else would I have brought you back?"

"You know that's not what I meant." Rosen paused, taking a drag of his cigarette. "Is Liam okay?"

Vivian pursed her lips and said, "Fortunately, He broke a few ribs, but he wasn't in danger, just need some rest.""Well, that's not a big deal," Rosen said indifferently, "He dared to lay a hand on me.""You also hit Liam, and you won!" Vivian paused. "Besides, I am Liam's fiancée."It implied that Rosen should feel sorry for Liam, so it was understandable for Liam to act, but Rosen shouldn't have.

However, Rosen was not a reasonable person. He glanced sideways, looking disdainful. "So what? Did I steal Liam's fiancée? Am I going to marry you or have a child with you? We just had sex."Vivian fell silent.Rosen was a lunatic, acting without logic or reason.

Vivian thought for a moment and said, "But, no matter what, you and Ms. Mitchell are at least friends, right? Since it was Ms. Mitchell who asked you to come and help, but now you..."

"Liam was the one who threw the first punch!" Rosen roared, feeling justified.

"Besides, my relationship with Ava is merely transactional. I have received help from Ava, and I have helped Ava in return."

As they spoke, Rosen had already smoked more than half of his cigarette. Vivian now realized that Rosen wasn't really a close friend of Ava's either. He had just received help from Ava in the past, and when Liam needed assistance, choosing someone with whom Ava had minimal interaction and relationship was the most suitable option for her.

Rosen and Vivian fell silent, each with their own thoughts.

After a moment of silence, Rosen, increasingly agitated, finally opened the car window and threw the cigarette butt out.Vivian glanced at Rosen but hesitated to speak first, focusing on driving."Why didn't you tell me that woman knows judo?!" Rosen was furious, gritting his teeth. Rosen looked very angry.Surprised, Vivian looked at Rosen. When she saw Rosen's fierce eyes, she was startled, almost losing control of the steering wheel. She quickly regained control and asked, "What did you say? I didn't catch that. Who? Who knows judo?"This baffling statement left Vivian perplexed.

"Evelyn Taylor!" Rosen replied.Rosen had only been vaguely familiar with the name before, but he would remember it fiercely from today onwards.Never before had Rosen been so humiliated by a woman. It was shameful!

Rosen took pride in his manipulation of women. He just enticed them with mere offerings, and they would willingly throw themselves into his embrace; if resistance persisted, it simply signified insufficient allure, a matter readily remedied by escalating incentives. However, Evelyn proved impervious to persuasion. Despite Rosen's overtures, offering her accolades at the annual competition and access to his network and resources, Evelyn failed to appreciate his gestures of goodwill. To Rosen's dismay, she not only resists but also resorted to physical aggression, leaving him incensed.

Vivian took a few seconds to react. "Who? Evelyn?!"Vivian still thought she had misheard or misunderstood. "You mean Evelyn knows judo? What judo? Which kind of judo?""What kind of judo? How would I know which kind she practices? Aren't you college classmates? You've been together for so many years, you should know what kind of judo she practices!" Rosen said angrily.Vivian was shocked. She now believed that she hadn't misunderstood. It was indeed the kind of judo involving fighting. Judo! But Evelyn knew judo?

Was he kidding?Impossible!Vivian had known Evelyn for so long and had never seen Evelyn lay a hand on anyone, let alone get into a fight.Trying to clarify, Vivian licked her lips and said, "So, you're saying that Evelyn, the one I know from my company, knows judo? The kind of judo where you fight people? And...?"She glanced at Rosen's suspended arm and, though finding it absurd and unbelievable, continued, "And these two broken arms of yours were caused by Vivian's judo?"Vivian spoke clearly, almost as if explaining a story to a child. Rosen was impatient and quite annoyed. "Wasn't my description clear enough?"Hearing Rosen's irritation, Vivian quickly said, "It was clear! It was very clear! It's not that your description wasn't clear, I just find it hard to believe! Evelyn knows judo? I really had no idea!""You had no idea?" Rosen was skeptical.Raising a hand as if making a solemn promise, Vivian said, "I swear, I really had no idea! I've known Evelyn for so many years, and not only have I never seen her do judo, I haven't even seen her run a long distance. It's hard for me to believe that Evelyn could have caused your injuries, Rosen.""Are you sure you're not mistaking her for someone else?" Vivian asked.
