Chapter 93 Truly An Eyesore
Cathy lowered her voice and said mysteriously, "I saw an illicit affair!"
Evelyn was speechless, looking at her with disdain. Evelyn shook her head. "I didn't know you had such a weird hobby!"
"Why are you looking at me like that? Do you think I'm interested in gossiping about everything? If it's not related to you, I wouldn't bother looking at such things. It's really an eyesore!" Cathy said indignantly.
Evelyn looked puzzled, pointing at herself. "Related to me?"
"Your ex-boyfriend's current girlfriend, do you think that's related to you?"
The conversation was getting twisted, and Evelyn almost couldn't keep up. "You mean Vivian?"
Cathy nodded. "Does he have several girlfriends?"
"What did you see?" Evelyn wasn't really interested, but seeing Cathy so eager for gossip, she felt she should satisfy her desire for gossip.
"I went to the bathroom just now and had a stomach ache. That's not the point. The point is, because of the stomach ache, I stayed inside for a while and heard someone rushing in to vomit."
"Can you get to the point?" Evelyn wondered why Cathy was beating around the bush.
"I am getting to the point." Cathy was still not satisfied, emphasizing by tapping the table. "Listen! It's not unusual for someone to vomit, but what's surprising is that I heard a man's voice. It seems like a pervert entered the bathroom. I was thinking about whether to call the police, but then they started a passionate scene."
"Are you saying Vivian rushed in to vomit?" Evelyn quickly understood, pondering for a moment. "Who's the guy? Rosen?"
"Damn it!" Unable to hold back, Cathy blurted out, looking at her in shock. "How did you know? When did you find out? Isn't this a secret? Wasn't I the first to discover?"
She thought she had stumbled upon some earth-shattering secret, only to realize that Evelyn had already figured it out halfway through her story.
Not wanting to disappoint Cathy, Evelyn quickly said, "No, you were the first to find out. I didn't know before. I was guessing."
"You guessed so accurately. Why didn't you guess it was Liam who went in?" Cathy asked.
Helplessly giving her a look, Evelyn said, "Liam was sitting in front of me earlier, remember? Besides, you said it was a scandal so that it couldn't be Liam."
"True," Nodding thoughtfully, she couldn't help but ask again, "Why could you guess it was Rosen so quickly and not someone else?"
"First, the person she has been in contact most frequently recently, and whom we both know, is none other than Rosen. Second, since the tasting event yesterday, I felt there was something more between them." Evelyn glanced ahead. "But there's no concrete evidence, and who she's having an affair with doesn't concern me at all. I don't care!"
"Was I being presumptuous?" Cathy felt dumbfounded. She had been stewing in the bathroom, thinking she had discovered some groundbreaking news, only to realize Evelyn didn't care at all.
"Not really. At least you got to watch a free adult movie." Teasing her, Evelyn stood up. "I'm leaving now, but I'll be back later."
"Are you kidding? I only find them distasteful!" Cathy watched her leave, suddenly feeling that Evelyn was quite carefree, not entangled in past relationships, quickly moving on to new ones, which was the way to live.
Had it not been for the encounter at the restaurant, Evelyn would have been unaware that Vivian and she were staying at the same hotel.
But it made sense. In this local area, this hotel was considered one of the best. Most of the people attending the tasting event stayed here, just on different floors with different room sizes.
She waited for a while before entering the elevator, arriving alone at Samuel's floor.
She hadn't noticed before, but now she found this floor unusually quiet. It seemed like there was no one in the other rooms, and the thick carpet in the hallway muffled any sound.
Samuel hadn't even closed the door, probably waiting for her.
"Did you book the entire floor?" She stood at the doorway, looking down both sides of the hallway, almost certain in her tone.
"Yes, it's quiet." He nodded as if it was the most natural thing in the world, fitting his style.
"Why did it take you so long to come up?" Samuel reached out to pull her in, embracing her directly, lowering his head to lightly bite her earlobe as a small punishment.
She squirmed at the ticklish sensation. "There are others around. I shouldn't get too close in case someone sees us."
"Others? I didn't see anyone. I just saw a jerk who was annoying." There was a cold light in his eyes as he thought of that person, finding him repulsive.
He usually ignored him, but when he saw him getting close to Evelyn, he felt the urge to pick him up and throw him far away.
"I mean Cathy," Patting his hand, feeling his obvious jealousy, she couldn't help but smile, "You left, and Cathy came, and then she drove that jerk away!"
She mimicked his tone, unable to hold back her laughter.
Satisfied, Samuel nodded. "Well done! She deserves praise!"
Evelyn thought, 'If Cathy knew she got rewarded for arguing with Liam and driving him away, what expression would she have?'
"You're distracted." Turning her body towards him, he was dissatisfied with her momentary distraction, lowering his head to kiss her fiercely as a form of punishment.
Evelyn embraced him warmly, responding to his kiss and warmth. Being with him always made her happy.
After a long while, Samuel finally let go of her, rubbing his nose against hers.
Even if they didn't say anything, just being close like this felt wonderful.
"Aren't you curious about what he said to me?" Evelyn thought he would ask, as he had been watching them while she talked to Liam, but he didn't ask a single question.
Samuel seemed disinterested. " I'm not interested. There is no need to inquire. It's all just rubbish talk!"
Evelyn wanted to give him a thumbs up. He guessed right.
"You caused a little trouble for him, and he probably came to show off to you, right?"
Releasing her hand, he turned around to prepare some coffee.
