Chapter 82 Bullies in her presence
Evelyn coldly smirked, "Are you kidding me?"
"You..." Vivian was momentarily speechless, about to erupt, when Rosen beside her extended a hand to shield her. "Vivian, I presume this is the Ms. Taylor you mentioned before."
Vivian paused for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, it's her."
"Ms. Taylor, by removing one ingredient from the essential oil formula while keeping the rest unchanged, the deviation is minimal, yet distinctly different," Rosen paused, then continued slowly, "You are very clever."
Raising an eyebrow and looking at him, Evelyn suddenly realized. "You're the one who's been helping Liam, right?"
No wonder he suddenly wasn't in a rush. According to the news from Lindwood City, the factory at Liavian Perfumes had already resumed normal production processes, indicating that he had resolved the issue regarding the essential oil formula.
Of course, with the existing staff at Liavian Perfumes, it was absolutely impossible to find the cause. So, he must have sought reinforcements.
She had been busy here for the past few days and hadn't had time to think about who Liam had brought in. However, unexpectedly, they had come knocking on the door today.
She wasn't entirely sure who Rosen was. However, from the special treatment he received from the organizers last night and his precise insights into the nuances of essential oil blending, it was evident that he possessed a considerable amount of expertise and proficiency.
However, why would someone like him help Liam?
In response to his sarcasm, Evelyn merely nodded. "Thank you for the compliment."
She had no inclination towards verbal disputes or a battle of wits here. However, Vivian was far from being the type to readily call it quits.
Moreover, Vivian had been upset since she saw Evelyn in first class on the plane from Lindwood City. Now that she felt she had the upper hand, she would definitely grasp the opportunity to embarrass her.
"You're so naive!" Vivian grabbed her sleeve aggressively. "This isn't a compliment. Who do you think you are? Do you think you're worthy of Rosen's praise? Do you know that in front of him, you're simply a kindergarten kid with your little tricks? Stop kidding yourself!"
"Evelyn, do you actually believe that getting a position at Neogenito Fragrances makes you all that impressive? After all, Neogenito Fragrances is not even on the level of Seraphian Group!" She gloated, "Besides, even if it were the Seraphian Group, what entitles you to their protection? Who do you think you are! I suggest you take a good look at yourself, understand where you truly stand, and stop indulging in unrealistic dreams all the time!"
Cathy, who was standing by, couldn't bear it anymore. She frowned and stood in front of Evelyn. "Regardless of where Evelyn stands, she relies on herself, unlike some people who only engage in sneaky activities. Stealing things from others and feeling proud, how shameless! I have to mention that this type of person has long lost her sense of shame!"
She was the type who didn't hold back with her words, but she didn't easily lose her temper. She just couldn't stand it anymore.
Vivian was bullying Evelyn in front of Cathy, which was utterly insufferable!
After being scolded, Vivian was extremely angry. Rolling her eyes at Cathy, she said, "Who are you to speak on her behalf? The matter between me and her has nothing to do with you!"
"Evelyn is my colleague, my friend. Her business is my business." She stood tall, ready to show her support for Evelyn through actions.
Evelyn was touched by Cathy.
Vivian sneered, "I see. So, you're from Neogenito Fragrances. No wonder you're so arrogant! Evelyn is a very hypocritical person. You'd better not misjudge my good intentions. I'm warning you, don't be deceived by her!"
"Don't bother. My eyes are wide open. I can tell who's despicable!"
"You..." Unexpectedly, Cathy was tough. With Evelyn not saying a word, she felt no sense of accomplishment. She was furious. "Neogenito Fragrances is noting but a subsidiary hanging on to Seraphian Group, which is not much better than Liavian Perfumes. Besides, even if it were Seraphian Group, how many perfumers there could match Rosen?"
She naturally took Rosen's arm, looking proud.
Watching her actions, Evelyn pondered.
"Alright, Vivian, let's not waste time here on meaningless arguments. We should focus on more important matters."
Throughout the argument, Rosen didn't participate. However, his words showed his disdain and indifference.
"You're right! Let's go, this place is really unpleasant!" Vivian waved her hand, covering her nose as if she had really been smoked.
Her affected look really amused Cathy.
"She's so ridiculous, clearly slandering others here and still thinking she's so noble. Evelyn, why did you ever befriend such a person?"
Indeed, why did she befriend such a person in the past?
What exactly clouded her vision back then, that she couldn't see anything at all?
"Debating with such individuals is futile," Evelyn said lightly, "Let's go inside. You must be thirsty."
"Yes, I almost forgot. I'm really angry!" She hadn't been this angry in a long time.
Although she was walking towards the flower field with Rosen, Vivian's mind was still on what had just happened.
If Evelyn and that annoying woman had come here, did that mean Neogenito Fragrances was also going to get goods from here? She didn't know what goods they wanted or if they would conflict with what they needed.
As she walked and thought, she really wanted to turn back to the hall to take a look, then got ahead of them and monopolized what they wanted.
It was really infuriating!
Why did all the good things fall to Evelyn? It was evident she had already been kicked out. However, she managed to climb up to Neogenito Fragrances. Moreover, she was doing well there.
Why! Why!
She refused to accept it. She was determined to stand taller than Evelyn, to outshine her, and to dazzle more brightly than her!
"Vivian, what are you thinking?" Rosen stopped and turned to look at her.
Coming to her senses, Vivian candidly disclosed her inner thoughts. "I was considering that Evelyn and her group might have come here for a transaction. I wonder what goods they are after, and whether their demands might clash with ours."
