Chapter 157 Seeing Some Fun

"What did you say?!" Vivian's face changed, and she was just about to continue, Rosen walked towards Vivian and Evelyn. "Hi, Ms. Taylor, nice to see you again."

Evelyn raised an eyebrow, pondering, 'Is Rosen also here? It appears that they arrived prepared, specifically targeting me. Their estimation of me is quite high indeed. Regardless of whether the target is me or not, I am not afraid of that.'

Turning directly to Rosen and Vivian, Evelyn smiled, "It seems that the last lesson wasn't enough, Rosen. Are you inviting me to kick your ass?"

Upon hearing this, Rosen felt ashamed and also reminded him of the last time he got beaten up.

"This is a public place. I don't think Ms. Taylor would do anything unbecoming here, right?" It's because Evelyn wouldn't dare to act rashly in public that Rosen dared to come out and provoke directly.

Rosen didn't expect Evelyn to be good at judo, making it quite difficult to take action against her. However, precisely because of this, Rosen's desire to conquer Evelyn even more arose. If he could handle such a woman, he would be very satisfied!

"Sorry, I'm rude and obscure. If anyone causes trouble in front of me, don't blame me for hitting them." With that, Evelyn cracked her knuckles, making a sound.

Upon hearing that sound, Vivian became nervous. Although Vivian hadn't seen it with her own eyes, from Rosen's description and Liam's fear, she thought Evelyn's judo should be very powerful. Vivian didn't know judo, so she would definitely lose if she fought Evelyn.

Therefore, Vivian thought she must win with wit, not force.

After thinking for a moment, Vivian made a choice, suppressing the anger within her heart and smiling. "We were just kidding. Don't take it so seriously!"

"Evelyn, you may have misunderstood Rosen before. I actually brought him here to apologize to you. We are considered fellow countrymen abroad and should stand united."

Evelyn admired the speed at which Vivian changed her expression. One moment, she was mocking Evelyn; the next, she was kindly saying that Evelyn and she were from the same country.

"With someone like you? I'm afraid I'd be killed without knowing why." Glancing at Vivian, Evelyn ignored her and walked away.

"She is stubborn!" Watching Evelyn's back, Vivian clenched her skirt at her side, gritting her teeth.

"Never mind, Evelyn won't be arrogant for long here." Pointing to the ground with his finger, Rosen said meaningfully, "In a city renowned for its fragrant effusions, she is nothing!"

There was undisguised contempt in Rosen's eyes. The reason Rosen agreed to cooperate with Vivian was he was confident he could get what he wanted here.

Evelyn had yet to go far when Olivia found her. "Ms. Taylor, didn't you go to the restroom? I went there but didn't find you."

"Maybe I left when you came in; we just missed each other." Evelyn made up an excuse, not wanting to stay here anymore. "My stomach doesn't feel well. Let's go back first."

"But I've already seen the organizers, and they wanted to greet you." Olivia frowned. "We should bid our host farewell before departing, or it would be very impolite."

"Olivia, you should remember politeness is mutual, not bilateral. If the organizers don't care about the guests and don't respect us, we don't need to be polite to them either!"

Evelyn felt very uncomfortable in this environment. If it weren't for representing Neogenito Fragrances, Evelyn thought she would have no problem leaving now.

"But..." Olivia wanted to say more but was interrupted. "Sorry, I overheard you talking just now. The organizers don't respect or care about the guests. Is that right?"

Evelyn and Olivia turned back together and saw a man with silver hair, looking somewhat aged but well-preserved and exuding a noble and elegant aura. It was Matthew.

Olivia recognized Matthew at a glance and was a bit shocked, immediately responding, "Sorry, Mr. Thompson, that's not what we meant."

"So, you mean I misheard?" Matthew touched his earlobe with his hand. "But I think my hearing is fine."

"Mr. Thompson, you may have misunderstood." Olivia was still explaining when Evelyn raised her hand to stop her. "Your hearing is fine. You didn't mishear. I do indeed think that way. The organizers don't respect the guests and don't treat all the attendees equally. That's how I see it."

Olivia's face changed. She didn't expect Evelyn to take such a strong stance, and the key was whether Evelyn knew who Matthew was!

"Mr. Thompson..." Olivia tried to protest, but Matthew didn't give her the chance.

Matthew looked at Evelyn, his amber eyes slightly narrowed. "Is that so? I'd like to hear how the organizers don't respect the guests."

"Evelyn, Evelyn..." Olivia was already whispering Evelyn's name, feeling futile but still trying to stop her.

But in the end, Olivia heard the voice that overwhelmed her.

Evelyn looked at Matthew in front of her, thinking, 'He is unique. Although he is asking kindly, his tone has a hint of arrogance. It seems that he is questioning me. He doesn't agree with me, and he is not pleased at all.'

"This so-called banquet is organized by the hosts, inviting all the invited personnel, but there is no dedicated receptionist. I've been here for nearly an hour and haven't even heard from anyone from the organizers," Evelyn remarked.

Their conversation had attracted the attention of the surrounding people, and many had gathered around them.

"As the organizers, they should send out invitations and treat all participants fairly. But I heard that the reason the organizers didn't show up was to greet more important guests. What's going on?" Evelyn asked.

Even if they were to receive more important guests, they should pay attention to others. It was simply dismissive.

In fact, what Evelyn had said represented the thoughts of some people, but most didn't dare to speak out. No one would stand up to criticize the organizers, being the first to do so.

Among the onlookers were Rosen and Vivian, who had heard the news and stood on the outermost circle, watching coldly. Rosen sneered. "What a fool! Now, we are going to see some fun!"

Vivian was puzzled. "What do you mean?"
