Chapter 170 Acknowledging Me In Disguised Form
"What do you mean?" Rosen hesitated.
Vivian smiled, but her eyes were indifferent. "Don't you have something to be happy about? Why not share it with Evelyn and make her happy, too? When Evelyn is happy, she can't do without them, and she can't do without you, right?"
Rosen suddenly understood, nodded, and patted Vivian's shoulder. "You are indeed the most ruthless!"
"How about I get you some to try as well, so we can be happy together?" Rosen smiled, lowered his head, and moved towards Vivian's lips.
Vivian quickly avoided him, coquettishly saying, "I'm serious, but you're joking with me! That stuff is expensive. You better leave it for Evelyn to enjoy."
Raising an eyebrow, Rosen didn't continue to press Vivian, but Vivian gave Rosen a new idea.
"So, what do we do?" Rosen sat back down, put away his playful expression, and asked seriously.
Samuel was awakened by the phone early in the morning. Samuel frowned and picked up the phone, placing it next to his ear. "Hello?"
A sweet voice came from the other end. "Samuel, it's me! Are you awake? I brought breakfast for you. Tell them to open the door and let me in!"
Samuel looked at the time. It was not even seven in the morning. Last night, Kyle took Sophia back quite late. She really had endless energy.
"Hold on a moment." Samuel stood up, got out of bed, and put on his slippers. "Give the phone to the security guard."
Sophia happily handed the phone to the security guard. "You still have to let me in. You don't know me! So troublesome!"
Originally, he wanted the security guard to open the door for Sophia, but the moment Samuel saw Evelyn's slippers by the bed, he suddenly realized.
He thought, 'I am not living alone now. There are many women's items in the house. I don't mind Sophia seeing them, but I had promised Evelyn not to disclose our relationship publicly for the time being. If I let Sophia come in, she would definitely investigate what happened.'
So when the phone was handed to the security guard, Samuel changed his mind. "Don't open the door. Let Sophia wait there. I'll be out soon."
The phone was on speaker, so Sophia heard what Samuel said, and her expression changed immediately. "Samuel, what did you say? I don't want..."
Before she could finish her sentence, the call was already hung up.
Frustrated, Sophia stood outside. Luxury residential areas were like this, especially places like Emberwood Residence, where the people inside were either very wealthy or powerful, so security measures had to be strict. No one was allowed in without an access card and without being the owner.
Sophia had no choice but to wait outside.
Sophia dressed up nicely today and even drove her car over. Thinking that it wasn't appropriate to bring supper last night, she thought it would be fine to have breakfast with Samuel today, but it turned out she was unable to enter the door.
Samuel quickly finished washing up, changed his clothes, and went out. At the entrance, when changing his shoes, he saw Evelyn's shoes again and sighed, missing Evelyn more and more.
As the gate slowly opened, Samuel saw Sophia in a ladylike dress walking back and forth outside. He drove out, then leaned out and said, "I'm going to the office. What about breakfast?"
"Breakfast is here!" She hurriedly handed it over. Just as Samuel's hand was about to touch it, Sophia suddenly felt something wrong and pulled it back. "If you go to the office, what about me?"
"You go home," Samuel said straightforwardly, "Since you just got back, you should spend more time with your parents at home. Why keep coming to me?"
"I'm willing!" Sophia said with a hint of grievance, "Samuel, you can't treat me like this! I got up early in the morning to buy breakfast and bring it to you, and you won't even let me in. At the very least, let me have breakfast with you before leaving.
Samuel glanced at Sophia's car parked on the side of the road. "I'm going to the office. Why don't you come with me?"
Samuel was sure that Sophia wouldn't be able to come along as she couldn't leave her car here, but to his surprise, Sophia was delighted. She went around to the passenger side, opened the door, and got in. "Okay."
Samuel was puzzled. "What about your car?"
"Leave it there! I'll come back with you tonight, and then I'll drive it away." Upon thinking this, Sophia clapped her hands in delight.
"It will be towed before evening." Samuel was a bit helpless.
"It is not a big deal. I'll have someone bring it back later. Samuel, what do you like to eat? I don't know if your taste has changed, so I bought several kinds. You can choose what you want." With that, Sophia handed the breakfast to Samuel.
Samuel instinctively leaned back and then saw a small bottle of air freshener on the passenger side, a little thing Evelyn had made to freshen up the car.
Thinking of Evelyn sitting in that seat and then looking at Sophia, he felt a bit uncomfortable.
"Get out of the car and sit in the back," Samuel said.
Wide-eyed, Sophia looked puzzled. "Why?"
"The front passenger seat is not safe!" Samuel casually found an excuse. "And you sitting here with so much food affects my driving."
"I..." Sophia was speechless for a moment, then she thought of something and smiled sweetly. "Is it the food that affects your driving, or is it me affecting your driving? Samuel, are you admitting that I influence you?"
"Don't overthink it!" Samuel replied.
He raised his hand and patted Sophia's head, pondering, 'What is she thinking? How could she forge such connections?'
Although she was patted, Sophia was still very happy. She believed that Samuel was distracted because of her.
She happily reached out to open the car door, but just as she was about to touch it, she turned her head and said, "Don't drive away when I get out! Don't deceive me!"
Samuel sighed. "I won't. Go to the back seat!"
"Okay!" Sophia willingly got out of the car and sat in the back seat, feeling content. Glancing at her through the rearview mirror, Samuel saw Sophia smiling, and he wondered what she was so happy about.
Shaking his head, he started the car and headed to the office.
Since he arrived too early, there were few people in the company. Taking the express elevator to the top floor, Samuel just wanted to finish breakfast quickly and get Sophia to leave. He needed to keep Sophia busy, so she wouldn't cling to him anymore.
Sophia didn't know what Samuel was thinking. She asked herself inwardly, 'Since Samuel brings me to have breakfast here, does he acknowledge me in disguised form? If we were not in a romantic relationship, he would not bring me to the office, as it would imply that I am his girlfriend.'
