Chapter 116 Are You Jealous?

Laura was very determined this time and immediately refused. "Don't bother; it's not necessary. I can go home myself!"

Evelyn fell silent.

She glanced out the car window. Although it was pitch black, it was obvious that they were not at the entrance of the community yet. Across the street was an alley. Probably Laura needed to go in the alley or pass through it, which made her uneasy.

"Kyle, you take her back. Make sure to drop her off at the doorstep." Sensing Evelyn's concern, Samuel said, "Hurry up and come back soon!"

Kyle replied, "....Yes!"

Kyle parked the car and unbuckled his seatbelt, and Laura was pleasantly surprised. "No, no, it's not necessary."

At this point, Kyle had already walked around to her side, opened the car door, and said to Laura, "Please."

Laura diddn't refuse anymore and had to get out of the car with a stiff smile. "Well... I'll head back first. Evelyn, you and Mr. Whitman rest early."

"Okay." Evelyn nodded, watching her and Kyle walk away before realizing what was wrong.

Evelyn and Mr. Whitman rest early?

Turning her head, Evelyn saw Samuel staring at her with deep eyes, a gaze that made her feel a bit... strange.

"Are you... jealous?" She cautiously asked.

To her surprise, Samuel snorted heavily, "How did you just realize?"

Evelyn wailed. "No way! Laura is a woman!"

"So what? Am I not entitled to feel jealousy towards women? You care a lot about her, celebrate with her, and escort her. However, you didn't do those things for me." He opened his hand towards himself, shaking it in his direction with a tone that sounded wronged no matter who heard it.

For a moment, Evelyn didn't know how to respond.

Samuel seemed quite aggrieved!

"That's different!"

"What's different?" Samuel paused. "Or is she really more important to you than me?"

Unreasonable men were terrifying, especially jealous ones, ascting like a child who couldn't get candy. Evelyn chuckled, "Indeed, she is important!"

In the moment his face darkened, Evelyn's hands quickly passed over his neck, forming a circle and then pulling down, meeting his lips proactively, pressing against his lips, saying, "But, you are more important!"

The flames in his eyes dissipated with her words.

Samuel firmly held the back of her head, deepening the kiss fiercely, letting her taste the sourness of his jealousy.

Kyle took a few steps, then stopped, waiting for Laura to walk a bit further before continuing to follow, always maintaining a balanced distance, not too close, but not too far.

Laura lowered her head, just able to see the top of his shadow, feeling quite reassured.

Laura was a bit scared of this path she had to take every day after work. Although nothing had happened since she moved here, it was a bit secluded and quiet. Occasionally, a cat rummaging through the trash cans would startle her.

But today, with Kyle accompanying her, all fear in her heart disappeared.

The distance from the company wasn't too far, and the rent was very cheap. The only downside of living here was having to pass through this alley. She didn't think it was a big problem and decided to rent it.

Stopping at the foot of the stairs, Laura turned around. "I'm here, thank you!"

Kyle stopped and replied, "You are welcome."

"Um..." scratching her head, Laura smiled awkwardly, "They are still waiting, so I won't invite you up today. I'll treat you to coffee when you have time."

Kyle still replied, "Don't bother."

"Well, goodbye!" Faced with such a response, she didn't know what else to say. She waved her hand, and seeing him still standing there motionless, she turned and went upstairs.

Turning at the corner of the stairs, she looked down and saw him still standing there, so she waved her hand. "You can go back!"

"Okay." Although he said that, Kyle's figure remained unmoved.

Laura couldn't do anything about it, so she stopped persuading him and quickly went upstairs, sneaking into the house so as not to wake her mother, then went back to her room, turned on a lamp, and thought for a moment. She looked out the window down below—

Under the dim streetlights, the tall figure was still there. Laura could even see him tilting his head up.

Seeing his silhouette receding, Laura suddenly felt warm in her heart.

After a subdued, faint sigh, everything finally came to a halt.

Rosen turned over and lay on his back, his face unusually pale.

Pulling up the blanket to cover herself, Vivian secretly breathed a sigh of relief, grateful that this time it didn't last long. Otherwise, she really wouldn't be able to handle it.

"Rosen," Vivian called his name softly, speaking gently, "I might not be able to come over these next few days. The lab is almost done. I can't find an excuse, and Liam isn't that busy either. I'm afraid..."

"Are you that afraid of him?" Rosen glanced at her askew, getting up from the bed.

But Rosen wasn't wearing any clothes; he was just wrapping a large towel around his waist, revealing his overly thin waist.

Without looking, Vivian knew he had recently lost weight again. They had this kind of intimate contact almost every few days. She was very familiar with his body, knowing what he looked like now.

Vivian was not only tired of it but also anxious and worried; after all, the benefit she could get from him might not last long.

"I'm not afraid of him. I just don't want to disrupt the current balance." Sitting up with the blanket wrapped around her, Vivian watched him walk to the sofa and sit down, laying out his things on the table.

"We both know that we each have our own needs. Since that's the case, I won't interfere with you and try to satisfy what you want, and you shouldn't disrupt what I want, right?" Vivian said.

"Is marrying Liam what you want?" Rosen sneered. In his eyes, he didn't think Vivian would be a docile housewife and mother.

"At least for now, there's no better choice than him." Vivian was also very candid. "Just like for you now, I'm just a relatively better choice, right?"

Turning his head to look at her, Rosen smirked, not confirming or denying.

Rosen lowered his head and brought the rolled-up paper tube to his nose, then brought it closer.

A wave of nausea!

Vivian averted her gaze, heading to the bathroom.

Closing the door, Vivian pressed her chest with her hand, managing to suppress the feeling of nausea. She rinsed her mouth, and was about to turn around when she felt a sharp pain in her lower abdomen, followed by a rush of heat flowing down!

She stood still for two seconds, immediately realizing what was happening, and lowered her head to see a small pool of shocking red between her feet!
