Chapter 109 Trying Out New Possibilities!
"Oh?" Rosen finally seemed a bit interested. "Do I know her?"
"You've met her!" Vivian said with a meaningful smile, "Do you remember Evelyn?"
"Your love rival?" He rubbed his chin with his hand, the beautiful face of that girl already appearing in front of him.
He was deeply impressed the first time he saw her. He did have thoughts, just that he had yet to have the opportunity to make a move.
Vivian sneered, "Love rival? She's not even worthy! But if you want a change of taste, she wouldn't be too bad."
Rosen was not interested in women's intrigues, but he was quite intrigued by the idea of having some fun for himself.
"Indeed, not bad," He paused and said, "But from what I know, she's no longer with your company, Liavian Perfumes. Now, she and you are like water and fire. Are you sure you can convince her?"
Evelyn shook her head and sat down on the sofa, "Do you really need to persuade a beauty with words to get her? If you want her, there are plenty of ways."
"But as I've said, I don't like forcing people..."
Vivian shrugged. "Rosen, you said you like trying new things. Don't be so rigid in your ways. Why not give it a try sometimes?"
When Rosen looked at her, his gaze resembled a profound, unfathomable abyss, yet within it, Vivian vividly discerned excitement and a palpable eagerness.
Such was the nature of men. Once they possessed something, its allure faded. It was the elusive, the unattainable, that they coveted the most.
When Rosen tempted Vivian, he used various means of coercion. It didn't take long for him to grow tired of her and turn his attention to Evelyn.
But this was also good for her. It was like succeeding in doing three things with only one action for her. She could maintain their cooperation, avoid the risks, and get back at Evelyn. It couldn't get any better than this!
"So, you already have a plan," Rosen said.
"I do have a plan, but I need to wait for the right moment. Don't worry. I'll help you get what you want. Just remember what you promised me, and don't forget it."
As he approached her, lowering his head, gently lifting her chin with force, Vivian softly said, "Don't forget; don't abandon the old for the new!"
"You're so obedient and considerate, how could I ever abandon you!" With that, he leaned down and kissed her.
Vivian felt a bit uneasy inside, knowing what he had done half an hour ago, but she didn't dare to avoid it. She just placed a hand on his chest, lowering her head shyly. "Didn't you say you had lost interest in me?"
"I've changed my mind." He kissed her forehead. "Besides, now I want you!"
After the sex, Vivian got up calmly, put on her clothes, and adjusted her belt; everything was orderly and skillful.
Rosen lay on the bed with his arms open, sleeping deeply, the blanket only covering his waist, exposing his upper body.
Due to nervousness and fear, she hadn't observed carefully before, but now she noticed how thin his figure was, excessively so. However, the vigor of his excitement and the forcefulness of his actions seemed at odds with his slender physique.
Of course, now she knew the reason, and a sense of unease crept into her heart.
Since Rosen was involved in such things, it was like stepping into a quagmire. She didn't know if one day things would go wrong, or how long he could last in this business. Relying solely on him wasn't a long-term plan.
Vivian used to think she had climbed a big tree, that as long as she maintained her relationship with him, she could rise steadily. But today, reality hit her hard, making her much more sober.
He wasn't her savior.
Since Vivian had made her choice, she couldn't rely solely on Liam and certainly not put all her hopes on Rosen. She needed more support, a stable one, to ensure a long and secure future.
But for now, there was no rush. At least Rosen could still be of use for a while. She could push Evelyn towards him, reap the benefits she wanted, and then make her exit.
Exiting the room and taking the elevator, Vivian took out her phone. Liam had sent her many messages and several missed calls.
Why was he so anxious?
After a moment of reflection, she calmly turned off her phone, put it in her bag, and walked out of the hotel, hailing a taxi home.
Upon her return home, the moment she pushed open the door, Liam made his approach. "Vivian, where did you go? Why didn't you reply to my messages or calls?"
Vivian stood in place, blinking, looking somewhat startled. "Liam, you're back?"
"Where did you go? Tell me, tell me!" He was angry and looked fierce.
She shrank back a bit, looking somewhat scared. "I... I hope you won't be angry when I tell you."
"Fine, tell me!"
He had come back early to be with her, only to find the house empty and no replies to his calls or messages. He did not know where she had gone.
Liam was both worried and suspicious, feeling extremely irritated.
"I... I went to the lab."
"The lab? I called, and they said you had left a long time ago! And why did you go to the lab when I told you not to? Why are you so disobedient? Don't you think about the child?!"
With his hands on his hips, Liam was furious.
Vivian hadn't expected him to call the lab, but it was easy to respond. She lowered her head and pouted, "I went to the lab to check on the progress of the new product. After all, it's a formula I wrote myself. You know, I haven't been hands-on with this for a while. I was afraid of any mishaps. I did it for Liavian Perfumes, for our future!"
"Maybe I smelled too many chemicals and felt uncomfortable in the lab, so I went to the hospital for a check-up," As Vivian spoke, tears fell from her eyes, "Do you think I don't care about the child? Do you think you're the only one worried? He's in my belly, and I care more than anyone!"
"Now you're yelling at me, being fierce. You said you would take care of me and love me forever, but it's all lies! Deep down, you only care about this child! You don't really care about me. I think I should just get rid of this child, and we should part ways!"
With that, she turned as if to leave, tears streaming down, which made Liam panic.
