Liam never saw it coming. Instead of a sales boom or a profit surge, Samuel got hit with a major setback.
At 9 AM, a popular marketing account dropped three videos. The first one was pretty standard—an old financial interview. In it, Liam was super confident, talking up the future of the perfume industry. He complained about the lack of top-notch perfumers in the country and talked about his commitment to creating new products. Liam made a big deal about how perfumers would run their ideas by him, and he’d personally oversee the whole development process. He even took a moment to talk about the hard work and challenges perfumers face.
The second video was from a press conference when Evelyn decided to leave Liavian Perfumes. It showed Evelyn refusing to apologize, Liam looking a bit panicked, and Vivian’s subtle gestures and glances—all in great detail. The messy way they handled the situation was also caught on camera.
The third video was of Liam downstairs, looking goofy while releasing confession balloons. It included his apology statement, with certain parts highlighted in red, like Liam being clueless and deceived, too busy running the company to keep an eye on the lab, and trusting Vivian with all the perfume development. The emphasis was on how much Liam trusted Vivian and how shocked he was by her actions.
The highlighted points were left without any extra comments, as if to say, "Hey, look at these key points. I’m not saying anything; it’s all Liam’s words."
But that’s what made it so damaging. There was no commentary, just the cold, hard truth: The Internet never forgot.
Liam was floored.
Years ago, Liam had given tons of interviews. How could he remember what he had said, bragged about, or lied about?

Evelyn wasn’t just a local star; she was killing it internationally too. She didn’t need to say a word; her win spoke volumes and earned her respect from everyone.
People who had doubted Evelyn before started coming forward to apologize. Apologizing to Evelyn became the latest trend.
For Liam, the morning was a total nightmare.
Liam believed it was all over, only to realize it was far from done; as the end of the workday approached, several more news reports emerged.
This new info was all about whether Liam and Evelyn had really been a thing or if it was just a one-sided mess.
Previously, Liam and Vivian contacted their university peers. Some were their close friends, while others were less informed about the situation and harbored a dislike for Evelyn's solitary nature.Back then, everyone claimed they had no clue about Evelyn and Liam’s past, thinking Vivian and Liam were perfect together.

This time, the video featured their university, with their old mentor and professors talking. The professors were thrilled and proud of Evelyn’s achievements. More importantly, they knew about Liam and Evelyn’s relationship. Back then, Evelyn was a top student, and the mentor relied on her a lot. Later, the mentor saw her potential in perfume blending and wanted her to work with him.
Other students were oblivious, but while Evelyn was assisting the professor with experiments, Liam frequently came to escort her. This, of course, was known to her professors. Even third-party testimonies couldn’t hold up now.
Compared to students, everyone naturally believed the professors wouldn’t lie. Students might have their own issues, interests, and might lie to help friends, but professors wouldn’t lie about stuff like this.

While Liam was facing a total meltdown, Evelyn was celebrating. Laura was over the moon.
“I finally get it! I finally get why you made me wait! This is so satisfying!” Laura raised her glass, laughing. “I’m so happy! After holding it in for so long, I finally got to see Liam get trashed.”
“Drink less,” Evelyn said, shaking her head, holding a glass of juice.
