Chapter 53 First time?
"Sa..." She was about to speak, but Samuel's index finger covered her lips. "Don't speak."
Keeping her eyes on him, she stopped talking.
However, the quieter it was, the faster her heartbeat became. She was so close to him, his scent filling her nose and chest, her focus entirely on him.
Her mouth felt dry, so she swallowed some saliva and her neck noticeably moved up and down. This unconscious movement was the most alluring, and Samuel slowly kissed her lips.
Their lips and teeth intertwined, no longer as unfamiliar as the first time; they were intimately entangled, and the heat in their bodies skyrocketed.
After all, she had been lifted directly out of the bathtub, her body not yet completely dried off. Samuel had carried her out of the bathroom, his clothes already soaked and clinging to her form.
This layer of wet clothes made her feel his body heat and the hardness of his muscles even more directly.
Samuel's large palm moved across her body. Although Evelyn had become out of practice in exercising over the past few years, her figure had always remained in good shape. In addition to her original abdominal muscles, she now had a touch of softness that made Samuel reluctant to let go.
Samuel could clearly feel the tension in her body. He reluctantly released her lips, stood up straight, and quickly took off his wrinkled shirt, tossing it aside.
Evelyn blinked her eyes, a bit dazed, and saw his strong and attractive muscles. She hadn't expected that his figure would be so good underneath his suit. Obviously, he had maintained a regular exercise routine over the years.
His skin, while fair, didn't give the impression of being unhealthy, nor did it have a tan. With his leaning movement, every line of his body seemed to possess a unique allure, making it impossible for her to take her eyes off.
"Samuel..." she whispered, almost inaudibly, calling his name.
"Good girl, call me honey," he gently kissed her cheek and said softly.
"Ho..." Her cheeks burned, unable to say that word.
That word seemed to just stop there, swallowed back on the tip of her tongue. She lightly bit her lower lip, her face turning red.
Samuel chuckled lightly. He wasn't really insisting on it, that was alright. He had enough time to let her gradually get used to it and accept it.
Samuel's kisses lightly brushed across Evelyn's face like feathers, making her feel ticklish. She slowly closed her eyes, knowing what would happen next, but also not intending to let him stop.
Since agreeing to marry him, she had mentally prepared herself, even though she was still a bit nervous.
Physiological nervousness gripped her, causing her body to tense up. Despite Samuel's kisses bringing some relief, when it came to taking that final step, her tension surged back immediately.
The body was most honest. Samuel slightly raised his head and saw her tightly closed eyes. Her eyelashes trembled lightly like the wings of a butterfly, and her lips pursed tightly while her hands hung by her sides, tightly clenched into fists. Her nervous appearance was similar to a person facing the execution ground.
Samuel let out a gentle sigh, and his actions stopped just like that.
Evelyn opened her eyes in confusion after waiting for his next move for a long time, silently asking.
At this moment, the passion in Samuel's eyes had diminished, but his body was still pressed against hers, with his hand only resting on her forearm. Seeing her open her eyes, he gently asked, "Are you afraid?"
Evelyn shook her head, but hesitated for a moment before nodding.
She wasn't lying; she still felt a little afraid deep down. Or perhaps it wasn't fear, but rather a feeling that she couldn't quite explain.
"Then... should we continue?" he asked again.
Evelyn's face, which had already returned to its normal color, quickly turned red again.
This kind of thing, how could he ask her?!Evelyn bit her lip and nodded quickly. Then she turned her face away, no longer looking at him.
This shyness stirred deep compassion in Samuel's heart for her. He had never asked her before, or rather, he didn't pay much attention to this matter. But now her reaction couldn't help but make him ask, "First time?"
Evelyn suddenly turned her head, looking at him with a shy and surprised gaze.
She didn't need to answer. Her reaction had already given him the best answer. Samuel remained silent for a few seconds, then quickly got up and got another towel to wrap her tightly. Then he pulled back the covers to cover her.
Seeing her staring at his every move, Samuel bent down and kissed her forehead.
Evelyn grabbed his hand and stopped his movement to get up. She looked up at him, her voice sounding a bit hoarse. "What does this mean?"
"It's not the right time yet." His gaze fell to her hand holding his. Her small hand held onto him tightly, and this feeling of being needed satisfied him.
"Why?" She was perplexed.
They had already come this far, so why did he suddenly stop and ask her such a question? Would whether or not this was her first time affect whether or not this should continue? She didn't understand.
"We don't have to rush this. I'll wait until you're ready." Samuel raised his other hand and gently rubbed her head, full of tenderness.
Yes, he thought that after spending these years with Liam, she would have already experienced this. But he didn't expect her to be so inexperienced in this matter. This surprised him and also made him pleasantly surprised.
He didn't care if this was her first time, but he couldn't ignore her feelings. Obviously, she wasn't completely ready for this matter yet, as nervous as a startled rabbit. If he were to rush forward, he would only hurt her.
This kind of thing should happen naturally, driven by love, and everything should happen naturally. That would be the most wonderful.
And he didn't want to ruin this wonderful thing because of his momentary desire.
Beautiful things deserved to be cherished properly and kept for the most beautiful moment.
However, Evelyn didn't understand his thoughts. Combined with his earlier question, she thought that the question had influenced his decision.
She held his hand with both hands and answered firmly, "I'm ready!"
Although her tone was firm, her eyes were as nervous as if she were about to face execution.
Samuel remained silent.
He gently sat down beside her, reaching out to embrace her and let her lean against him. With one hand, he lightly pinched her chin, meeting her gaze.
Looking into her eyes, Samuel asked softly, "So, do you love me?"
Evelyn didn't quickly answer "yes" or "no" because this question was a bit sudden for her.
